Almost tempted to want to run up there with Thalia haha. But then I'm gonna be pretty miserable vs Selvala/Nissa and other Big Dumb Green GuysTM! Plus it feels wrong to not abuse Carpet of Flowers with all these Island decks haha.
Hahahhahaha I find this Baral dominance kinda funny, I admit. Everyone talking about Tasigur, Vial, Jace and Oloro and well... Baral was the one. Although we should be aware that those numbers are a bit higher because the decks is: 1) Cheap. 2) Easier to play in MTGO than Jace.
One of the benefits of this currently being a MTGO only format/banlist is that they don't have to be as stuck with normal banlist schedules as with other constructed formats. They've made off schedule bannings in Pauper for example. I'm sure they will see the problem and have the data necessary to address it. Maybe I'm just an optimist though.
I doubt they'll do anything right now because they have the new format/banlist to announce in July. Unless they see people stopping to play the format.

Oh I agree, I was mainly stating this because it's easy to get frustrated and throw your hands up but I think given time it'll get addressed. Also the emergence of Baral over other decks totally makes sense given the reasons you have mentioned. It's like this in other formats as well (increased dredge, storm and such in Modern for example but decreased Abzan Company)
So how long until Emmy gets banned? Shes the common thing between polimorth decks and ramp eldrazi ones.
That's actually an interesting thought. Say for a second it is no longer an option. What is the "next best fatty" and is it just as bad? (like Ulamog and Emrakul, the Promised End in Standard... should just axed Marvel the first time).
I mentioned Emmy because seems to be blue's main win condition. Maybe i only saw polymorth decks tough. And hoenstly her anihilator 6 and protection from colroed spells makes it too backbreaking. No other big fatty comes close to her power.
The only one who'd get hurt from banning Emrakul would be Baral. Selvala/Nissa nuking your lands with Ulamog turn 3-4 is sometimes even worse.
But yes, the problem is the lp, 30-40lp is meant to account for extra players not bigger decks. And the game just isn't designed to work with more than 20lp.
All of these generals are banworthy at any life total. The only issue is that the thing making the blue generals powerful is merely their mana costs @ 2, not their abilities. Maybe cheap polymorphs are the problem cards. Banning Emrakul is not a good primary idea, because that slippery slope leads to alot of fatties being banned. The 0 drop rocks aren't helping, either.
The amount of Barals making 5-0 is directly related to the amount of barals being played. It's one of the cheapest, competitive commanders available on modo, and has game against everything.
That being said, the meta has started to punish U.
The 1v1 Commander league has been changed to end before the downtime on Wednesday, May 24. The reason for this change is – as announced when we launched 1v1 Commander – R&D plans to make frequent adjustments, getting it to a fun and balanced metagame.
The first of these changes will be happening with the downtime on May 24. We will announce those changes at that time, but in the meantime it will continue as-is.

Why is this argument ok to claim Baral isn't over-represented in 1v1, but not ok for Zurgo in Duel Commander?

First because the leagues are not swiss rounds. So if 100 players play a deck, chances are more of them will make 5-0 than if just 2 play it.
Second because the results Wizards posts are not all the 5-0's in a day but randomly chosen, so if a deck is more played chances are it'll be picked more.
We discussed this here already.

MTGTop8 has lists starting 5/13. Goldfish starting 5/11. Maybe it's better we ignore the first two days hehe

Tasigur, DDT and TC also must be banned
