They'll just go up daily along with the other leagues and Vintage Dailies. League lists should be better than anything paper could generate in a week or so due to the rapid advancements made online.
I'm just so excited with this MTGO support that I'm one step from buying in again (I did it for Vintage for a while, but got bored). The only thing that stops me is that grinding MTGO feels to much like gambling =/
Question to MTGO players or i guess anyone who'd know.. is the MTGO meta often similar to paper meta? Not asking about the new one coz there's barely any data to compare, i'm referring to older stuff like modern, etc.. Coz the cockatrice meta DC-wise is very different from the paper meta.
I think about 1/10 of the time, you play vs a casual deck, I'd say the meta will more like cockatrice than IRL since its easier to get the cards a lot less budget decks than IRL (for example a scrubland is worth about 2 tickets online vs 80ish USD in real life. You can trade/sell things instantly online as well, everythings super liquid. I'd imagine in real life, it'd be somewhat common for someone to play an oloro (bad exmaple I know its banned) deck without a tundra for example.
For those wondering on the online meta, its literally all over the place everything is super diverse, but if I had to say the things I've played against the most are Nissa and Baral/Jace. I've seen Zurgo and Oloro about the same amount maybe 1/10 of my games (they arent super common, perhaps Oloro negating zurgo participation, but definitely viable I know ive lost to zurgo)
Well day 2 shows up with three Tasigur two 4C Vial, and still only one non GU deck: Zurgo.
And Nissa seems to actually be the legit way to get Emrakul out, Selvala needs not apply.

Yipee... Looks like this format is going downhill fast. Maybe I'll just stick to DC until this format gets it's ***** together.

I'm definitely going to observe a bit longer before saying anything about it. The fact that zurgos even still exist in that format already exceeds my expectations.. At the very least, I'm impressed with the audacity of people to compete with him at 30.

This is exactly one of the things that scares me from getting into MTGO. I had a similar experience with poker one time, which is actual gambling lol. Dint need rehab or anything, but I felt that the inclination to addiction is there when you're deep in it. I can see the similarities somewhat and I think twice sometimes.

Day 2, and there are already tears about the metagame.

Problem is everyone saw this coming. Whoever made this banlist should have too.
Day 3 and it's already settled.
I am sincerely surprised Oloro isn't seeing play but the only deck even close to challenging the "Blue or bust" prediction is Nissa.
One statistic we're not getting and I'm very curious about, because it may be the cause for the format to go into 20lp like a civilized 1v1 format should, is how many games are going to the MODO clock.
Maybe it's time to build Jund bluehate with nothing but discard and land destruction. Boil, Boiling Seas, Tsunami BFF.
I 5-0'ed with Prossh and 4-1'ed two times with him. It does well against Baral and Tasigur because of the speed, especially with Dark Rit, Ancient Tomb, Grim Monolith and all the other elves and 2 mana ramp spells.
It seems like there's probably 6-8 viable generals, that seems like a pretty decent meta for 5-0s. I know there are people with trophies with different generals as well along with a host of 4-1s that we can't see. Sultai is clearly the strongest color combo, but I doubt it can choke everything else out like a lot of people here thought it and Oloro would. The MTGO hivemind probably evolved past anything the DC community ever did with 30 life in a few days considering the size and quality of it.
It just would have been nice to be able to grab a commander and play around with it, regardless of having to worry about super competitive decks draining the fun.
I wasn't even playing in the league. I was just playing in the for fun sections.

Well they did ban doomsday and reanimator cards which was oloros main way of winning games that wasn't attacking with oloro. Tasigur also does a better job of stopping creatures.
How long is the MODO clock as in my experience control decks in this format can make games 30+ min long.

Yea thats never going to happen as long as prizes are involved.

Rememeber, every penny that is given to MTGO justifies WotC stifling card design and catering rules around its terrible inadequacies.

BChainer, Dementia Master(Big Mana/Reanimator)
BRRakdos, The Showstopper (Mass Life Loss/Ramp)
BUThe Scarab God (Zombie Tribal/Control)
BWKarlov of the Ghost Council (Life Gain)
BGJarad, Golgari Lich Lord (Stompy/Dredge)
BRGProssh, Skyraider of Kher (Tokens/Non-infinite Combo)

Mate you got lucky. In one of the leagues I played it was 2 Baral, 2 Jace and 1 Tasigur out of the 5 games.

5. Keranos Wildfire
Damia (EDH)
Niv-Mizzet (EDH)
