Personally I believe that we should have a sideboard, but my reasoning for this isnt why I am writing.
I stated earlier in this thread that people should stop discussing cards that do not exist (Like a grixis Vial without partner, a Tasigur without delve and so on). Like that I have to add that we need to remember that we dont know the banlist of this "future commander" yet. It doesnt make much sense talking about how a sideboard would make the decks that are already tier 1 in a 30 HP format stronger than those that are tier 2. Sure a sideboard might be better for decks like Jenara, Marath and/or geist than decks like Zurgo. But the fact is that if Oloro, Zur, Edric and so on gets unbanned, I doubt we Jenara would still be a tier 1 deck. My point being that we need to see the banlist first. We also need to know what rules they keep and what rules they remove. Does "tucking" get back or not for instance? We dont know yet. I hope not, but we dont know it.
I couldn't understand what you said but don't worry, I too don't give a f* about you or what you're saying
Anyway, next week we'll be having the Duel Commander committee announcement about bans and I read somewhere that one of the commitee memebrs, Moondust, will be attending a french twitch stream to answer questions people might have. Would be cool to have a francophone member to step forward so he could take questions we might have to them. I just can't find where they posted this.

Do we know anything about Wizards' banlist announcement for this format other than that it will happen sometime "during the Amonkhet season"? I haven't been able to find more specific information

Playing with proxied cards at sanctioned events is good, actually.
But it isn't an existing format, so there's no reason for it to be included in a B&R announcement. I'd say they'll probably announce this on a Wednesday, coupled with a MTGO software update like they seemingly intended to do originally (by what I understand of the post they revealed the format).
Since they said "Amonkhet season", that could be any time between now and the next set.

well I didn't say we had reason to believe it, just that we hoped it would be so
I know, I know. It's that I'm seeing so many people, in different forums, pissed by the "missing 1x1 banlist" and I'm failing to understand their logic
Isnt maybe because geist have good matchup vs grixis partner? Before partners, geist was nowhere to be seen (at 30 hp )
If I'm remembering correctly, I believe that just before the switch to 20 LP and before commander 2016 that mtgtop8.com showed Geist as a Tier 1 top 2 control deck. I think it saw a similar ammount of play as Narset. I could he wrong. That being said I think Geist was 4% as opposed to the 10% it is now.

Here :), they put a filter for that on mtgtop8, and yeah it was about as it is here:
Some changes like Tasigur banned changed the numbers and Elfball with Yisan, but he was always on the top 3 control decks, usually floating from 4-7%, that in the last 6 months before the 20HP change, I remember well this.
So do they mean leviathan guys or DC guys with their own commander team or they mean both DC and leviathan together?
I took it to mean "DC folks and the RC cmdr" (aka sheldon's group). Props for getting DC advice, but I don't really see how Sheldon's multiplayer stuff has any bearing on 1v1 but w/e.
I'm doubtful that Duel Commander will survive the release of an official WotC EDH 1v1 format. I'm not so sure that's a good thing, since it seems like it could be a step back in the metagame.

Anyone got a transcript?
Seconded.
Blue lives don't matter in the slightest.
Did they say somewhere it was bound to be announced today? I didn't see anything stating that. Did I miss something?
