OK awesome, I'll work on it some later. Also, just curious, how well would this deck play out against non french list decks? I have a few friends that I would still love to play against that follow the normal EDH banlist.
Well winter orb is banned. However the deck plays well against French lists primarily. I can't see which list you have pulled but the mtg top8 list with that and ephedra(Chesapeake va tournament) is really really streamlined and well tested.

I have been playing Geist exclusively for over a year now. I've been tweaking the deck almost each time I play a tournament. One thing that I want to point out is that for your deck to be consistent, the mana-base has to be consistent. I had lost a lot of games before due to being land screwed or color screwed, and fixing your mana base will give you a fighting chance to not lose a lot of games due to mana problems. Fetches, and duals, along with dustbowl, wasteland, and tectonic edge, are pretty much going to be wanted in Your deck if you want to be competetive. Even so, I have seen mono-colored decks being piloted to top finishs a lot in our local tournaments. I have a friend who started out with skithrix, and won quite a lot of games. Then he slowly built his ezuri deck, and just borrowed the power cards he needed during the tournament from friends (cradle, wastelands, etc). And there is this one guy who plays talrand without fetches, but still manages to win And make top 8 a lot of tournaments.
I'd say pick a mono or two color general, then play the heck out of it, but stArt with fixing the mana base, as that is key to casting your spells At the exact time that you need to in games. What's the use of getting the big money cards if you cant even cast them, or you keep mulliganing til you have 3 cards in hand to start the game. Pick your commander, get the easy to acquire or cheaper pieces now, then start building up your mana base, and just borrow some extra cards from your friends to get a feel of the tournament games. After that just keep tweaking until you find what works and what doesn't. Have a blast and win the cards you need for your deck while uou are at it.
Yeah, I think the best investment in EDH and in magic in general are lands. Think about it, when you build a deck the lands you acquire for it will carry over to other decks when you get tired of playing your current deck; this is true in most cases for all formats. Lands are the base for any successful deck, no matter the format; you cant cast spells without the proper mana.

"I'd say this about guarantees that it won't be up till this Friday, but considering the current track record, the ETA is now probably two weeks after the set has been out."

Except for the manaless dredge decks in legacy/vintage...
A good mana base allows for a player with weaker cards to win against an opponent with a better manabase but lore powerful cards. The weaker spells come down on time. Plus having fetches allows you to switch decks relatively easily.
