Hey guys so I'm going to play in a tournament at Wonder Con and have relatively no experience in 1v1 commander. I'll be making this deck a day before the tournament so I'll have to just watch a bunch of stuff on YouTube before limited testing. So I've been looking at a lot of decks on this forum and came up with a few that seem fun to me. So just wanted your opinions as to which deck is best suited going into an a unknown meta and which is easier to pilot/learn. I don't really like blue but since Geist is an aggro deck I think I could consider it. Any suggestions are also welcome.
Same goes with Doran. Although Doran is just plain straightforward that it's technically disruption all over the place (Hymn to Tourach, Dismember, Cataclysm) and beat them with a 0/5 x5 (or making Deathrite Shaman hitting for 2 and worse Goyf) to get the gen damage. Marath, requires a bit of a finesse because he need gas to keep on going.
Geist is bit of a voltron-esque (namely him + Steel of the Godhead) and the rest are control factor.
The best advice is to choose a deck that you know well. Remember you only have 50 minutes to complete a match. Know your options and your decision trees will be much easier to work with. Keep a good hand. It is better to have 5 cards that can curve out that a terrible 6-7. Do not be afraid to put all non lands back. Even if you want a certain card. Your deck should be designed to work together no matter what you draw. My final piece of advise is to know a meta knowledge of the format. This will come with experience. Know how most decks will win and how they attempt to stop you from wining.GL

Anyway, Marath I think is 'hard' to pilot if you haven't played it much. But is very rewarding to play!
Doran on the other hand, as Ikaoru says, is just plain o;d, beat-em plus disruption.
it's practically a very aggro deck that attacks from everywhere.
Geist is very good becoz of hexproof and you can just play alot of counters
