So, I'm looking for a few direct upgrades for some casual 1vs1 with my playgroup. I'm not entirely familiar with EDH in general (bought the pre-con to get into it), so any help is appreciated.
Board wipes are good, too. I like Rout, Cyclonic Rift, and Evacuation since they can be cast at instant speed. Decree of Pain is great since you can cycle it at instant speed, which also helps it avoid conventional countermagic. Planar Cleansing is nice since it nukes everything except lands.
I'm also interested in upgrading my Eternal Bargain deck. I'm looking for cards that interact well with lifegain (definitely not things like "if you have X life you win" that just feels cheap to me.
I know you said you didn't want any win the game conditions but of course there is Felidar Sovereign.
In order to keep your life total up of course there are any number of board wipes to work with. I personally like Terminus for its miracle cost and Supreme Verdict for the the uncounterable clause.
Happy building! I know I'm having a blast with this deck even before I upgrade it, so can't wait to see what happens after I've started tinkering.
I just picked up Eternal Bargain yesterday and immediately started playing around with swapping cards out.I'm mainly a standard player but have a few modern cards from grab bag packs and such. I'm thinking of adding the following cards in... Underworld Connections - Commander ability negates the life cost, so basically a 1 mana card draw every turn (since you won't be able to tap the land for mana). Dark Prophecy - Again, commander ability negates life loss, additional card draw and devotion for Gary. Gray Merchant of Asphodel - Obvious choice being that he's a standard staple in black decks. Plus the potential combo with Sanguine Bond is nuts. Tavern Swindler - Commander ability basically takes the life cost down to 1 for a 50/50 chance of a net gain of 5 life. I've been wanting to make this card work since I pulled it from a RTR pack and getting Eternal Bargain yesterday finally gave me an outlet to do so Fall of the Gavel - I'm aware the general consensus is that this is a terrible card, but again, I'm working with what I have, and it fits the lifegain theme. Path of Bravery - Lifegain and creature buffs in one? Yes please. Abattoir Ghoul - Turns chump blockers into delicious life. Angelic Accord - 4/4 Angel almost every turn. Sunbond - Transforms lifegain into creature pump. Whip of Erebos - MORE Lifegain, plus the ability to whip back creatures for "enters the battlefield/dies" ability shenanigans. Crypt Incursion - Graveyard hate + Lifegain makes me happy. Would be even better with mill cards, so if I ever pull a Phenax, God of Deception I know what I'm doing. Debt to the Deathless + Crypt Ghast - Death Grasp's big brother, who takes performance enhancing drugs provided by his creepy spirit friend. Dramatic Rescue - Spot Removal Bounce + lifegain = Purge the Profane - Card advantage + lifegain also = Search Warrant - If a player has a full hand it's basically a U/W Heroe's Reunion, plus I know what's coming. Servant of Tymaret + Springleaf Drum - Drum gives him a good tap outlet, and if nothing else he's a solid T3 blocker.

PS: I apologize if I posted in the wrong location.
Also, Test of Endurance, for when your opponent just can't win but refuses to concede.
Exsanguinate and Debt to the Deathless emphasize the life drain aspect of Oloro.
Swords to Plowshares and Path to Exile are quintessential spot removal IMO. Even with access to black, I still like Pongify and Rapid Hybridization for having no target restrictions like most black spot removal. Return to Dust for artifact/enchantment hate, and Oblation for being versatile.
First off there is Rhox faithmender which, in addition to being a solid blocker at 1/5, doubles life gained.
Then there is Words of Worship which when used with Oloro, Ageless Ascetic can make for some serious life gain.
Exquisite Blood has an infinite combo with Sanguine Bond or Vizkopa Guildmage which are already in the deck.
Serra Ascendant and Blood Baron of Vizkopa are both pretty good in any life gain deck, but may or may not be more costly than you wanna go.
I know you said you didn't want any win the game conditions but of course there is Felidar Sovereign.
