I use Blood Clock it's backbreaking for decks that rely on permanents staying in play specially those that play many CitPT lands, and lets me hit many times with Rakdos, and bounce good CitP creatures like Stoneforge.
!!!
I have never seen that card before! Yet another hidden gem comes out of Kamigawa. I am a bit unsure of it, as it is letting others reuse their EBT effects, so it seems like it might only be good early game, and mostly against slow EBT tapped mana bases.
I think I might be a little more open to a card like that, if I was playing something like Lord of Tresserhorn, in a deck that likes Torpor Orb style of effects. I am not completely sure of my assessment of this card, rather I am just highly fearful of letting people get more uses out of their Eternal Witness' though.
edit: Wait. They have a choice of bounce something or pay 2 life? That seems considerably worse than my initial assessment then. They will either pay 2 life(an irrelevant cost in this format) or bounce something with value(especially dangerous with a variety of things). In this light, I don't believe I can make room for this card, and I think I will play Erratic Portal before it, if I did want this effect(in which I did play the Portal at one point). It was usually win-more in 98% of situations though.
thank a lot. I learn more about kaalia and am trying to build a decent kaalia deck in my playgroup but one thing bother me is they always kill me first I dont know why I just bought my deck recently and try to test it in my playgroup they say that my deck will beat them even their deck are complete oh well...

I'm glad I could help.
And yes, Kaalia doesn't do too well in multiplayer due to her reputation(she thrives in a mass-LD environment because she works in conjunction with it so much more), and perceived threat level. I do usually play in 1v1 and do good enough to win a good percentage of my matches with her myself though.

I've had pretty good luck with cards like No Mercy and Dread, which really make people think twice about attacking you with any creature they consider valuable, particularly their general if they're planning on getting there with general damage. They're almost certainly planning on attacking you to take you out of the game first, until you drop one of these, and then they think about perhaps sending that creature at someone else's face, instead. I've found it buys me the time to get myself stabilized and start taking advantage of my advantage to cheat superior creatures into play.
Your other option, and the one I chose to avoid for the time being in my deck, is to just go gung-ho with artifact ramp and land destruction. The faster you can be with your artifact acceleration and the more oppressive you can be in denying your opponents their resources, the better chance you'll have of keeping Kaalia out there long enough to beat everyone's face in. It's difficult to pull off in multiplayer - it's really hard to keep 3-4 opponents locked down while they all attempt to hate you out - but it's also really fun to try, even if you go down in flames :mad1:.

Yep. That's my philosophy. Haha.
Or you could be a total dick as I did last night on MODO and draw into Avacyn, Angel of Hope, then resolve Ravages of War post-combat for the one-sided sweep.
(Yes, I built a Kaalia deck online to mirror my RL deck.)
After three turns, I cast Necromancy to retrieve Sheoldred. On turn 4, I bring back Yosei, play Phyrexian Tower, and begin the Yosei lock. My opponent conceded after one turn, realizing there was no way for him to beat the lock.

That's never happened to me before. I didn't even see the Yosei lock combo initially when my graveyard got dumped. But within a few seconds of this, I saw the lock combo. Fortunately, my opponent did not have any counterspells or bounce spells to stop me from pulling this lock combo off.
And then I was like "so this was what 3drinks was talking about..." lol

I remember the first time I pulled it off, I didn't catch it(was playing vs Uril, the Miststalker) and I did it once, then passed(he didn't see it either) then I swung, did it again, and he and I saw it so he conceeded. So now I rest safely knowing I have a lock-out failsafe to fall back on.
The other change I started is -1 of each basic for +1 of each Snow-Covered basic. In addition to making Wake of Destruction a Stone Rain for 3RRR, I can now also piggy back off of someone's Extraplanar Lens a little bit too. And I'm sure there are a few other uses that will come from it. Regardless, this change produces no negative, so this will be a [non-zero] amount of positive.
edit: (So that I'm not double posting) Inquisiton of Kozilek replaces Appetite for Brains. I like my exiles, but Inquisition hits more of the stuff I want to hit, i.e. Lotus Cobra, Noble Hierarch, Sol Ring, et al. While I like AfB for hitting cards like Gideon Jura, ultimately I can handle him if he drops so I'm fine with this change.
You spelled "Inquisition of Kozilek" wrong in your card tagging. I clicked it and Magiccards.info reported "no card found." You are missing an 'i' in there.
I've been playing around with this deck, and I've found that mulligining properly is extremely important (duh). I always need to make sure my hand has enough to just about cast Kaalia on turn 4. Also, dropping Griselbrand via Kaalia turn 5 makes it very difficult to come back from for my opponents. He is just that powerful.

Yes. My Kaalia is very important to make proper mulligan choices with. And yes, Griselbrand is a very powerful tool to assist us. I've never lost a game where he came down(draw 14 on my opponent's turn, then draw another 21 on my turn into Avacyn then cast Armageddon lol).
I haven't traditionally had to use land destruction in my Kaalia deck, because it is unfriendly to the group. However, my brother-in-law started to test a Jhoira of the Ghitu deck to suspend spells like Obliterate, Worldgorger Dragon, and Decree of Annihilation. I managed to eliminate him before the suspend counters were totally removed.
I guess I will have to bring out my Cataclysm and Armageddon and beat him to the punch, but I'm reluctant to convert some of my cards to discard, because that leaves me vulnerable to the other players.

3drinks, I looked at your list on the first page. I do not believe Harvester of Souls replaces itself when it dies, because it says "another nontoken creature."

I have played Decree before but I did not like the cost of 5RR. It just felt a couple mana too much. If you're playing agaist Jhoira though, man, all bets are off. Any "gentlemen's agreement" got thrown out the window when he brought that crap, rofl. Knowing what it does, I'd have no vices to playing Sun Titan + Strip Mine, and throwing every kill spell I had at her. And I'd hope he wouldn't complain when he gets Mind Twisted and sits there on top deck mode all game.
You're absolutely right on Harvester. In this light, however...I still feel he is worthy of a slot. Deathtouch means he gets me at least one card(or a lava axe on someone's face), and of course a sweeper means I draw ALL THE CARDS, haha. However, thank you for pointing out that clause so that I do not misplay that effect.

Yeah, I felt the same way. If he was going to bring in destructive land spells, then the gauntlets are off. However, I wouldn't be able to use the discard package very well. I would be able to take the Jhoira player out, but it would leave me vulnerable to the other players.

You do have a point about wiping everybody's creatures and drawing cards from that sweeper. Alas, that Jhoira player is also the Ghave, Guru of Spores player in other games, so Harvester Demon doesn't get a lot of mileage for me, which is why I have not used it in my deck.
I actually used to run Crucible at an early stage in this deck's development as "A fetch in the grave keeps the mana screw away" but ultimately, it proved unneeded. If this deck resolves Armageddon, it will win anyway, with or without the ability to play my lands from the 'Yard due to the nature of Kaalia's ability. This, much like the Gilded Lotus mentioned in the Prmer, makes it more of a win-more style of card; Crucible doesn't do much if I'm behind in the game, and isn't an essential part of the deck's game plan.

Ha. Yeah any time Jhoira sits down, she just needs to GTFO. She's not interesting. It doesn't create "cool plays". In the words of Phyrexian Negator, she exists to cease. Also, you should try out the discard package, and just make it a point to harass Jhoira's hand.
As for demon, he doesn't need to draw a grip full of cards to be worthwhile. Even just two is a minimum two-for-one(maybe even a three-for if they spent a kill spell on it). He's just a card advantage engine for a deck that aggros with a terribly fast game plan. Like I said, I've been quite content with him thus far. Nothing to write home about, I probably won't tutour directly for him, but if I get him, sure, sounds fine to me.

Hmm, I will have to pick up some discard cards and try them against the Jhoira player. That will teach him to stop playing with Jhoira. Are there any cards that make more than one opponent discard?

That's exactly my point. He's an intro pack rare, and a relevant creature type and does things for us. He's not hard to get, but still all upside for us to use.
3drinks, how is mother of runes working out for you? It seems that every time I draw her it's either late game and Kaalia is well protected by then, which kind of renders her useless, or when I do draw her early game I have much better cards to play, such as a rock or a kill spell, so she ends up sitting in my hand for a bit. Usually when she does hit the board, she doesn't last very long either. Have you encountered any of these problems with her?

If she is in my opener, great, absofan-fricken-tastic. I love it. You have exactly one chance to get rid of her then, and if you do, that's a kill spell you spent on my 1/1 for W.
If you didn't kill her, then awesome, I can blank your removal towards Kaalia with her. Especially relevant as Hall of the Bandit Lord is our best haste outlet. Ultimately, there's a lot of cards that are bad late game, Sinkhole, Duress, etc, and that's just the luck of the draw at that point. The point is, is her value at her specific point in the game worth more than the chance of being dead on turn 10? I suppose that's a personal question for everyone to figure out for their own respective list, but I am never sad to see Kaalia's Mother. Later in the game it can be protecting Avacyn, Angel of Hope from Path to Exile, or ensuring that Rakdos the Defiler doesn't get chump blocked(yes, trample helps ensure that enough usually, but I have run into The Mimeoplasm resolving Spider Spawning on me.)
So yes. I would say that Mother of Runes is always worth it.
Thanks, that helps. I almost moved her to chopping block in favor of another fatty, but I guess her helping Rakdos the Defiler connect is just too good to pass up. Rakdos the Defiler wins games, period.
And yeah, in opening hand she's amazing, much like a duress. Late game, she's kind of meh....Maybe i just seem to have some awful luck in that I always draw her late game, but oh well. She's getting another chance in my deck. =)

Ha, yeah, it's like I got my $20 Beta Sinkhole but yet I have never drawn the card yet(though I have drawn Vindicate of course). :/
Thanks for the suggestions. I think my Kaalia deck is not set up to take advantage of cards where "each player" has to discard. I guess I can hope that my reanimator package is ready when I try to make everybody discard. Maybe I'll go get Stupor and Hymn to Tourach. If I can do this to the Jhoira player enough, maybe he will stop playing with those devastating spells and take it down a notch (or use a different deck).

I have a Necromancy and Phyrexian Tower in my opening hand. Before the game begins, my opponent reveals Chancellor of the Spires. I dump 7 cards into my graveyard and among the bunch, I dumped Yosei, The Morning Star; Griselbrand; Sheoldred, Whispering One; and Bloodgift Demon.
After three turns, I cast Necromancy to retrieve Sheoldred. On turn 4, I bring back Yosei, play Phyrexian Tower, and begin the Yosei lock. My opponent conceded after one turn, realizing there was no way for him to beat the lock.

I'll pick this up and try it out. It's a $1 card.
Delirium Skeins, Unnerve, Liliana of the Veil, and my personal favourite, Rix Maadi, Dungeon Palace. Myojin of Night's Reach(though expensive at eight cmc). You could always throw a Mindslicer around too. Mind Shatter sucks compared to Mind Twist, but it's still an Xdiscard, so for the purposes of this little "experiment" it may be worthwhile. The X spells are just especially powerful, even if only hitting one person(hint: tag Jhoira haha).
