I tried to build a Thraxi deck a while ago, but it didn't go so well. I didn't spend enough time or know really what cards to put in, so it's kind of all over the place (un-updated since then decklist here). I'm coming here looking for some help as to how to make a good, effective Thraxi deck. Any card/theme suggestions are appreciated. I'm not trying to go zombie tribal, but would definitely think about it if someone has a reasonably priced decklist I could check out. My idea is to make a deck that kind of matches Thraxi himself: aggro, forces sacrifices, reaps rewards. A theme embodied by cards like Desecration Demon, Clackbridge Troll, Grave Betrayal, It That Betrays, Dictate of Erebos, etc. I am trying to keep it on a relatively low budget, so won't be running any crazy expensive cards or shocklands or anything. Thanks for taking the time to read!
P.S.: Is Rooftop Storm worth running pretty much solely for Thraxi?
Thanks for your input! I do have the Fleshbag and Thoctar, as they do seem to fit quite well. Are there any specific expendable thing generators you'd run to pair with Carrion Feeder(I don't usually play Grixis)? I found a good few sac outlets but, aside from the 2 zombie-making curses, don't have any token generation lined up. Gisa's too expensive, as is Bitterblossom. Endless Ranks of the Dead doesn't work well with my low zombie count. I might throw in Dreadhorde Invasion to get one a turn.
P.S.: Is Rooftop Storm worth running pretty much solely for Thraxi?
However, there are plenty of other inexpensive zombies that go great in a sacrifice strategy, like Fleshbag Marauder, Deathbringer Thoctar, Carrion Feeder, and Midnight Reaper, just to name a few. Nightscape Familiar is also a great zombie to add to any Grixis colored deck like as well.
