Those options you mentioned for placing him on the top of the deck are in my version so far. They're decent options for getting him "in the library". Maybe it will have to play more like Miracles.
That's kinda what I'm thinking at this point. I mean once you activate Staff you should just win the game. The question is how do set that up, and how do we survive until we can set that up. I think miracles is a good option here. The cards above were all cards I was planning on running anyway, so adding stuff like counterbalance and temporal mastery shouldn't be too difficult. Any other good miracle cards for edh?

Devastation Tide is the other one I tend to play. I'd probably include it but not place it near the top when comboing off.
You can keep putting it on top of your library to draw two or even potentially three cards (if another creature card is on top, after you cast it), every time you cast a green creature.
Im building creatureless storm/artifacts. Activate a Proteus Staff on Fblthb, the lost with no other creatures in your deck and you get to draw any two cards in your deck as well as organize your whole deck. Maybe snipe some people with a goblin charbelcher after that.
If you are able to stack your deck, then you could do something like this;
All excellent ideas! probably won't be dropping that much money on LED or Crypt tho. Right now I'm trying to come up with a ridiculous combo to pull off once the deck is staked, I'm leaning towards storm just because I tend to enjoy storm decks. Plus then I could run Crow Storm (not strictly legal I know) which is always fun. I'm also not a huge fan of Omniscience/Enter the infinite just because they feel somewhat uninspired.
Only because hitting Fblthp, the Lost off an Oath of Druids to draw two cards is really the same hitting a Mulldrifter, which is pretty average. I'm not sure what colors you are, but with Oath, you're far more incentivized to keep it creature light except for things like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, for proper pay-offs.
Plus then I could run Crow Storm (not strictly legal I know) which is always fun.
FWIW, I'd have zero qualms losing to a Crow Storm tbh. Not that much different from a Grapeshot or Empty the Warrens anyway. Can't imagine a group having issue with it, but check to be sure.
Make sure you carry a stack of 20+ foil storm crows for use as tokens though. 👀
Built a rough version on Cockatrice, and I won in a way so hilarious that it bears typing. I had Fblthp and did the Proteus Staff combo, but didn't bother stacking my deck. Kinda too slow online. But I did mana to Mindslaver an Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim player who just so happened to have Aetherflux Reservoir in hand. I was able to make it so the Ayli player got to exactly 1 after killing the others at the table and tapped him out. Little Fblthp then dealt the fatal blow. I imagine it was something like:
**Sees giant machine thing, and stares at it blankly. Pokes it with a tentative finger. A hinge breaks lose, and the entire thing collapses, sending a laser beam into the eyes of an unsuspecting Ayli.**
Ayli: Must destroy SCORPION!!
**Battle ensues, then a giant BOOM! leaving the Scorpion God dead, and Ayli gasping for breath, clinging to life.**
Fblthp: ???
**Fblthp walks over to see what made a loud BOOM! noise. Eye craned upwards to the pulsating tower, he does not notice Ayli gasping for breath as he stands confused upon debris which has fallen on her.
Mask of the mimic? Sure you have to sac a creature, but targeting fblthp with the spell puts him back into your library to get him again. Kind of a cool combo. Isochron it up with some token maker for some repeatable fun

For reference: Mask of the Mimic. That's pretty good! Saccing a creature is a bummer but on a scepter it does allow you to pay two and sacrifice someone else to "flicker" Fblthp and draw two whenever you want.
Since any Fblthp-lead deck feels like it'll inevitably devolve to madness or mono-blue goodstuff, my intention instead is to get as many copies of him as humanly possible and run him in every blue deck I build. "Oh, Fblthp, what are you doing in Yuriko?"

Honestly what I'm thinking at this point is a value Staff build. We have a limited number of creatures, so that we can somewhat control what effects we hit off of staff. A big chunk of these will be artifact creatures to lean into the artifact theme such as Filigree Sages and Dross Scorpion. Artifacts also have a larger amount of tutors allowing us to thin our deck and potentially allow deck stacking in the late game. And then focus on untapping artifacts/copying abilities, with cards like Rings of Brighthearth, and Clock of Omens.
Edit: We also have New Karn to get proteus staff out of exile should it come to that. Idk if I can name my Deck "Fblthp had always hated crowds." anymore tho. Do small crowds count?
Another big theme of this deck is turning artifacts into creatures with cards such as Karn, silver golem, Karn's touch, and March of the Machines. This allows us a couple things. First it allows for many more Staff targets, considering the low creature count. It also allows us to have several beefy blockers/attackers such as Darksteel forge or Blinkmoth Urn. It also allows us to use "untap creature" effects such as Voltaic construct or Intruder Alarm. There are some other cute interactions as well such as Mimic Vat shenanigans, and allowing us to protect our artifacts from removal with Erratic portal and Crystal Shard.
Right now I think I need to jam the deck with a bunch of cantrips and counterspells, any suggestions in that department? Any suggestions in general? Am I going too deep? lmao
Astro_Man - I'll take a look through your list and see if there's anything to trim for cantrips/card draw/etc.
I like the idea for it. Since the only creatures you'll be able to Staff out are the actual, physical creatures in the deck, what do you hope to hit with Staff and March of the Machines on board? Karn, Silver Golem seems like your best bet at the moment. Might I suggest Memnarch and/or Mycosynth Golem as additional payoffs to find with Staff?
The Training Grounds is good, but even with March of the Machines in play only lowers the activation cost of 6 "creatures". A lot of your artifacts/creatures already have activation costs of 1. Heartstone may also be worth adding, but also has that limit down to 1. Myr Turbine is extremely narrow as it only fetches one creature.
I see the Station combo and the Karn/March aggro plan. Any other win cons/combos I'm not seeing? I like the direction (although it seems very similar to Arcum Dagsson decks).

Mana Crypt, Brainstorm, Show and Tell, Omniscience, Enter the Infinite
Because you'll draw two cards off Fblthp, the Lost you can get Mana Crypt and Brainstorm as first cards. Then fire off the Brainstorm.
This method requires 2U for the Proteus Staff activation, then UU as the Mana Crypt can pay for the color-less portion of Show and Tell.
Alternatively, this is more complicated but allows for just needing the 2U for Proteus Staff;
Fblthb, the lost draws you Gitaxian Probe, Lion's Eye Diamond.
With Gitaxian Probe on the stack you crack the Lion's Eye Diamond.
Draw Meditate and cast it to draw Gush, Mana Crypt, Lotus Petal, Show and Tell.
Gush draws you Omniscience, Enter the Infinite.
...
I usually use Nexus of Fate / Beacon of Tomorrows as win-conditions with Enter the Infinite decks, and rather than the Laboratory Maniac (or now Jace, Wielder of Mysteries), I'd use Fblthp, the Lost as a Voltron kill with anything (Cyclonic Rift, Thassa, God of the Sea to make unblockable) as the ultimate humiliation of death by 1/1.
[EDIT]
I'm calling dibs on the deck name "Fblthp, the Lost but now Found".
Actually this can be done with Treasure Cruise and Predict instead of Meditate;
Draw Gush and Lion's Eye Diamond.
Cast Gush return two Islands, and crack Lion's Eye Diamond while on the stack. Both the Island will be discarded due to LED.
Draw Gitaxian Probe and Predict.
Stack deck so that you put a card into your graveyard off Predict and draw two cards.
Draw Treasure Cruise and Enter the Infinite.
Cast Gitaxian Probe and draw Omniscience.
Cast Treasure Cruise for U as there will be 7 cards in the graveyard (Gush, LED, 2x Island, Gitaxian Probe, Predict, random card off Predict).
Draw Lotus Petal, Mana Crypt, Show and Tell, enough to cast it.

Speaking of which, since you have Darksteel Forge, Mycosynth Lattice might be a good addition as well. The interaction to look out for is Mycosynth Lattice with March of the Machines, which immediately destroys everybody's lands (which could be a good or a bad thing).
For cantrips/card draw effects, the first few ones I go for are Ponder, Thirst for Knowledge, and Compulsive Research. If you're looking for some protection and card draw, it's hard to beat Cryptic Command and Mystic Confluence. Figured I'd suggest them since I didn't see those in the list.
I see the Station combo and the Karn/March aggro plan. Any other win cons/combos I'm not seeing? I like the direction (although it seems very similar to Arcum Dagsson decks).
