I've been toying with my Triad of Fates and Mathas, Fiend Seeker decks and found this gem. The card untaps all creatures you control if you're attacked, which I found to be a nice alternative for decks without green (hence no Seedborn Muse), especially since both black and red have cards that force your opponents to attack. What do you guys think?
I really like it in my rebels and elves deck. It's less awesome without green, but you can still get some value out of I don't know, angel of condemnation, brigid, hero of kinsbaile, a bajllion pingers, a scant few mana dorks like soldevi adnate or myrs. It's probably not the most competitive idea but it's not like black/white/red don't have creatures that can mitigate attackers by tapping.

Both of you have it right. The two decks I mentioned, Triad and Mathas, have components of tap abilities and forced combat, which is why I mentioned Reveille Squad as a potential option in those non-green decks. Royal Assassin for one could stack its ability and kill two creatures against attackers. Reveille Squad also untaps all the artifact mana-dorks you have.
It could be sweet in a Emmara, Soul of the Accord deck with a bunch of tap to do thing effects. Its kind of likely that people just don't attack you though instead of giving you that though...

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
It's a rebel, so that's a nice bonus. I used to play it in my casual Lin sivvi deck forever ago.
Anyway untapping creatures is like 10% of seedborns value, and even doing that reliably requires setup. It's quite bad.
Yeah, I find the big thing for Seedborn is the lands more than anything else. Artifacts and creatures do follow, of course. But most of the time (not all) Wilderness Reclamation is also good, and if I want to abandon all pretense of fair play it's even better. (Can you believe this lasted until Fifth Edition?)

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
If non-green decks had a way to sneak this into play (like Call of Cording) or with flash, I'd definitely consider playing this, but without that, it just doesn't do enough.
If this card had flash, it would be much better and see some amount of fringe but consistent play.

It wouldn't work. It has to see an opponent declare "My goblin attacks you." in order to count that. Yeah, it's antagonistic with the rebel typing, which is flash after a fashion*
