You see I'm playing a Marwyn, the Nurturer Commander deck and I'm trying to find a way to use Magistrate's Scepter to get infinite turns. The only problem is I'm having trouble finding the right card to combo with it. Also mana is not an issue with my home-brew deck so I'd prefer that it'd take mainly mana to untap the artifact & go from there. It'd be great to get some help with this I'm trying my best to make a competitive deck for a commander tournament coming up at my "LCS".
I see a couple of routes for infiniting Magistrate's Scepter in monogreen.
The first involves using Temur Sabertooth along with Quarry Hauler to repeatedly put additional counters on the Scepter. This gets fairly expensive, as you need 3GGG per counter, and 3 counters per activation, so 18 mana to do it every turn. You can reduce the amount of mana needed by using Doubling Season and/or Pir, Imaginative Rascal to increase the number of counters placed per activation.
The second method involves using Plaguemaw Beast with something that can untap it repeatedly, ideally Thornbite Staff since it will do so for free, combined with something that produces 3 or more tokens for you every turn - perhaps Mycoloth that has devoured at least two creatures. This has the advantage of being free once it is set up, but it requires more pieces to go off, and Thornbite can't be tutored easily in green (While Sabertooth, Hauler, and Pir all can be).

Staff of Domination goes infinite with Marwyn, the Nurturer at the drop of a hat. Adding Elder Druid then makes Magistrate's Scepter infinite. Of course, the Staff isn't a creature, so tutoring it can be difficult. And, once you're infinite with Staff, you can draw your entire deck anyway, so infinite turns are somewhat redundant.
A combo that gives infinite turns without any colour support needed is Prototype Portal + Ugin's Nexus + any sac out let that lets you sacrifice your copies of the Nexus.

You might want to reread Ugin's Nexus they thought of this stuff when that card was designed.

He is suggesting to make and sacrifice one nexus such that you most of the time have 0.
On a side note, the combo I described was also colorless and mostly creature based already (coretapper, scarecrone, Magistrate's Scepter). Note that while one could claim that his combo requires fewer pieces, the scarecrone in mine was simply the nicest way to repeatedly get coretapper back (nicest because it is a creature and thus easily fetchable in green) and most other ways to get it back repeatedly would work as well. I think there are roughly as many ways to get a creature back repeatedly as there are ways to sacrifice artifacts repeatedly (in green/colorless) and getting creatures back is more valuable most of the time outside the combo.

Even though you need to pass the turn, so it'll be alternative extra turns, these cards can help to get the threshold of untaps; Unwinding Clock, Voltaic Servant, Seedborn Muse.

They're saying to create and sacrifice a token Nexus, so that you don't control one when you would take the extra turn.

You can also plug Scepter into most Karn, Silver Golem & Voltaic Construct combos to give you turns after you get mana off of a rock that taps for 3.
