so i guess im wondering what the general "go-to" cards are for a good saffi eriksdotter deck? also thinking about ideas for a second, fun commander that still has relevence and presence. any tips/advice is appreciated!
...i'd say its dependant upon what sort of saffi deck you've built at this point..?
I've never built one myself, but i've used her in a deck as a part of a combo finish.
What sort of archetype/strategy does your deck do? is it combo, tempo, control, aggro? is it very focused or quite loose? multiple win cons or quite specific?
Edhrec is the best way to find staples for a given commander. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
As far as fun decks, I'll recommend geth, lord of the vault. Super easy to build, fun to play, and plays differently every time since you steal enemy stuff.

actually, that's a really good point. one of my past favs i've had were decks that basically copied/stole your opponent's stuff. it's great 'cuz:
1. they scale to your opponent's deck power level
2. you learn how to assess the board state a lot better after a few games
3. it's surprisingly interactive
4. you'll be stretched quite a bit trying to figure out what you can do with a bunch of random things (and find interesting combos that you wouldn't have seen otherwise)
As a Saffi player, I'd point you at this thread, where there's some good discussion - the last page of posts between me and alblaster are talking about the deck in it's most tuned combo-centric form, but there's still plenty of information in the rest of the thread even if you're not trying to push it quite that far.
And I'll add my vote for a deck that makes use of the opponents stuff as something fun to build.
