So I've gone and gotten a crazy idea for putting together a Jund pillowfort deck after seeing this spicy little combo elephant grass, braid of fire, and darkest hour. I checked around to do some research and most pillowfort decks are understandably bant colors, and jund can easily veer into stax territory which may just be the way jund pillowfort is meant to be played. I'd like to find more cards that support the pillowfort archetype for these colors though, so i'll post what i know of at the moment.
any thoughts on some good cards to maybe include? these colors can be pretty volatile together and I may have no choice but to be a little staxy, but the key to setting up the fort will be discouraging opponents from attacking me before I start going in for the kill.
EDH BGU Sidisi, Brood Tyrant - Lurking Zombies. GBG Sapling of Colfenor - Forest Growth and Destruction. RWU Zedruu the Greathearted - Blinking and trading. GWB Teneb the Harvester - Enchantments, you lose life I gain life. RRR Neheb the Eternal - Ping people for mana burn.
Some picks from my Qahiji 'rattlesnakes' deck which shares of philosophy with pillowfort:
Engulfing Slagwurm is a very good deterrent, but can also help close up a game as you really don't want to face it in combat either way. Similarly, Assembled Alphas.
If you make yourself a hard target to attack, you could throw in Fumiko the Lowblood to make people soften each other up. Ditto Disrupt Decorum. Deadly Recluse is a very effective deterrent in most any game.
If you are hard to attack anyway, Trove of Temptation can make for some fun ramp. Efficient? Maybe not. But definitely fun, particularly if you have No Mercy or similar up. Hornet Nest is a classic option that's particularly nuts if you can regularly ping it.

Xira Arien might be a decent general for this since she's cheap and helps you dig deeper to get the pieces you need without much building around her.
I actually am considering her as a possible commander, i think Shattergang brothers could be a good candidate as well since they work well as a control option.
I'll second Xira Arien as a good Jund control commander. My build of her focuses more on Seasons Past and Eternal Witness loops recurring board-control instants and sorceries until I can loop a big Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire, but there's no reason she wouldn't work equally well with a stax build.
(also, any time anyone mentions green stax, I have the need to shout about Freyalise's Winds whether or not it really relates to the subject)

Mudslide as a bit backwards propaganda, can work if you plan to attack with fliers.
Then there is always possible to use Squee, Goblin Nabob and Squee, the Immortal as a reusable chump-blocker or food for something else.

EDIT: Crop Rotation is also a great include if you're running Glacial Chasm, and can help you fish out Cabal Coffers/Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth or any other utility lands you run. Such as Drownyard Temple, one of the best bets for comboing with Constant Mists.
