Good to see you're progressing. If you're going with Archangel Avacyn, and want to stay on-theme with angels, you'll want to run the small handfull of angels that produce non-angel tokens to help trigger Avacyn. Angel of Invention, Emeria Angel, Luminous Angel (gorgeous art), and Requiem Angel should all perform well.
You can also stay easily on theme with angels and their worshipers, which is a nice little bonus.
There's obvious human/tribal synergy with Sigarda, Heron's grace and Bruna, the Fading Light, but I don't think you NEED to add humans unless they have obvious value. That being said, Grand Abolisher is strong, and I really like Thalia, Heretic Cathar in my Bruna build. A little bit of pressure doesn't hurt. Masako the Humourless is secret tech too, and I could actually see her being a good time in Boros. Oh, and Mangara of Corondor if you're blinking stuff, is a machine gun in human form.
So yeah, there's some cool stuff, but there's no desperate need to add them unless you have parts of a curve to fill.
While this is true, and while there ARE a bunch of angels that interact favorably with humans (including one that gets Hexproof and Indestructible when you control a human, can't remember its name tho), I feel this kind of approach (angels acting as guardians and shepherds of what is essentially a human tribal) is better done in Selesnya colors with Sigarda, Heron's Grace at the helm. Boros should stick more to tokens for early game and big scary angels for late game, or at least I believe so.
Well, I put together a deck list, and I have everything I need, six targeted removal, 8 board wipes, two tutors, five recursion cards, 13 cards for ramp, 10 cards for draw, and five token generators, four that make small non-angel creatures. The mana curve is perfect, 1 spell that has 0 CMC (Wheel of Fate), 4 that have 1 CMC, 8 that cost 2, 11 that cost 3, 13 that cost 4, 10 that cost 5, 7 that cost 6, 6 that cost 7, 3 that cost 8, and one that costs 9. Average CMC is just a little over 4. 36 mana producing lands, 29 creatures counting my general. The only problem is the price. The whole deck is around $350 to $400USD minus the few cards that I already own. I'm going to need help lowering that price, and use the other deck as a "maybe someday" list, buying a little bit at a time. I'll post the deck list later, when I'm feeling a little less disappointed.

I'm a girl, btw. Gabrielle Angelfire... well... meh. You gave solid advice though. I'll strongly consider a deck with Archangel Avacyn at the helm. I'll likely brew one today and have it up in the multiplayer decklists sometime in the next couple days.
Sorry about that, that's my bad for not seeing the "elle" ending.

Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
I'll be posting the decklist soon, but until then, I'll list the price and the most expensive items. Turns out that the whole thing will cost me around $178 if I buy from TCGPlayer. Assuming I get a lot of the cards from my local game store, that price will go up to $200-$250 I'm guessing, which I can swing if I put in $50 a month for 4-5 months. So until then I'd like some cheaper alternatives to substitute for the expensive stuff, seeing how I want to build the deck in full eventually. I'll list the cards over $5. Gisela, the Broken Blade (though I really want her soon because I already have Bruna), Path to Exile (I already own a Swords to Plowshares and it's going into the deck), Entreat the Angels, Arid Mesa (VERY expensive), Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Rugged Prairie, Clifftop Retreat, Reflecting Pool, Archangel of Tithes, Urza's Incubator. Looks like my mana base/ ramp is going to be the most expensive thing.

In terms of optimizing a deck, this is never not the case. Unfortunately. That being said, you can have a decent playable list without an optimal manabase. I'm not willing to pay for fetches or ABUR duals. Screw that.
Gisela, the Broken Blade (though I really want her soon because I already have Bruna)
I have to ask - are you at all tempted to build around one of these two? I run Bruna, and she is decent, as well as being a lot of fun to play.
Mono-white would be quite hard to play, but I have kicked around the idea of using either Bruna or Avacyn, Angel of Hope as my general. That can be a future deck, right now I want one that is more playable for a newer player, so I'll build Archangel Avacyn for now, I think. I'm in the process of typing out the decklist in the multiplayer decklist section. I'll be posting a link once I have it finished.

Awesome!
I only suggest Bruna because I play her myself, so...you know, it's a lot easier to make suggestions based on what I've played extensively. I look forward to the archangel list!
Flying, Firs Strike

ooooh, I am adding Laila, Herald of Dawn to my deck for sure once it comes out. Finally, an angel lord! I'm so amped. I'd appreciate any feedback you have on the angels I decided or any other aspects of my deck. The link is in this thread. Thanks for the information.

i'd definitely vote for Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. We have a very good 1 of those in my meta. Although i really do like Archangel Avacyn as a card, she is very good, but Gisela's text box is insane. I'm sure that Sunforger has alrdy been mentioned, but along w/ that, i would also like to mention, Mistveil Plains as a card to also run in the deck. It'll let you keep putting cards from your GY into your library for your Sunforger to recur
I might do Gisela at some point, but for now I want a deck that's not going to draw ire from people, so I've made a decklist for an Archangel Avacyn deck that I'm going to be building over the next couple months. The link to it is a couple posts above in this thread if you haven't seen it and want to.

I agree, especially for a 2 color deck, you really aren't losing much cutting the fetch land. You can easily go heavy on basics and make use of some of the cheaper dual lands. Losing out on Arid Mesa and Plataue is only losing out on 2 cards, cards with inferior but still useful budget alternatives. The drop off is minimal, unlike in a 4+ color deck were it becomes a major issue (or even 3 color, where its manageable but still noticeable.

So I've also been told,if I lean really heavy on basic lands I can use From the Ashes, which seems like a good hose against 3-5 color decks, and it's not true "mass land destruction" because it gives you basics in return.

That's probably a meta call. If there are strong utility lands that you're seeing a lot of you could probably run it, but it's probably not absolutely crucial otherwise. You're probably not going to suffer overly for only running Ravnica shocks and pains like Sacred Foundry and Battlefield Forge. You've got the signet and other rocks for colour fixing, which is the predominant (but not only) reason to run fetches and duals. The best thing you can do to help yourself along otherwise is to really pay close attention to you curve. Not just in terms of making sure it's not too top heavy, also in terms of making sure the spells you want to play are playable at the right time in the game. This really allows you to make pragmatic, efficient choices in which cards make the cut. It can mean some of your pet cards don't, but often times it's the difference between a lean, mean build and a pet project.
Well, I know playing Boros is about making sacrifices, because some things don't come easy, like card draw, curve, and ramp. Aurelia, the Warleader is one of my pet cards, for example, and I cut her.
Not necessarily. Black is about sacrifices, Boros is more a little brutal because it has reduced options. It's more a pragmatism thing. Sometimes there's as much advantage to be had in resource denial for your opponents as there is boosting your own resources, and Boros doesn't have a lot of options in the latter. That's all it is. To be fair though, looking at your list I don't see From the Ashes as hugely necessary. You have enough utility lands to not want to crack them unless you need to.
You can also stay easily on theme with angels and their worshipers, which is a nice little bonus.
So yeah, there's some cool stuff, but there's no desperate need to add them unless you have parts of a curve to fill.
