No proxies, no swapping cards between decks. None of the decks are specifically budget, though some are certainly cheaper than others (Uril has a bunch of bad cards, while Oloro has 48 masterpieces and Child has 10 duals. Karn has a Workshop, several of the green decks have Cradle...)
Narset used to be Zedruu.
Thrasios/Ikra used to be Leovold morph tribal with no wheels (and before that, Damia morph tribal). Changed into Hulk combo when Leo was banned and Hulk was unbanned at the same time.
I had an Azusa deck before taking it apart for Ezuri. A Glissa, the Traitor deck was taken apart shortly after it was made, long before Iname came to be, and a Karona, False God deck wasn't even finished before it was dismantled, again long before Child was made. The rest of the decks are very similar to when they were initially built.
That's incredible man! Congratulations! My biggest problem would be getting them to the shop to play, which would lead me to my second biggest problem: picking one!
Right now i'm sitting at 11 decks and i'm carrying each one with me. Just today i was able to play 9 rounds - with a different commander each time.
I can't really stop brewing and building. We'll see at which point i'll stop taking them all with me. I'm pretty sure my backpack fits up to 25-30 decks, so i'm good for a while.
As a player who marries a single deck, forming something of an attachment/loyalty to whichever I've constructed - I've never in my life had two - this is amazing to me. I don't even own a collection. I own a deck.
Congrats Lithl, that’s pretty awesome to finally “get there” so to speak. I’m getting pretty close to having one deck of each color minus the 4-color options (which I’m still debating whether or not I am going to do them or not); I’m just short building Mono-W, WRB (can’t decide whether I want to rebuild Zurgo or finish building Edgar Markov), Colorless (I originally thought about doing Karn, but I think I want to do Kozilek), and I need to fix or scrap Zedruu. It’s taken me forever to get to this point, so I appreciate the amount of time and effort that you went through in order to get to the finish line. Well done!!
As impressed as I am, I still gotta say: *facepalm*
Seriously though...that rocks. I truly wish I could do the same, but perhaps sometime in the near future, I will. Congrats on a considerable accomplishment.
Congratulations. It irritates me a little than there's no universal standard when you order the colors within each multicolor combination label (the closest standard is that you do them in WUBRG order regardless, but GR and GUB go against that standard), but hey it's your suite of decks, not mine.
If you've reached this far, I should safely assume you have no problems with having to update them when new cards come out (or maybe you don't intend to), but seeing Sheldon has even more decks and does by fine (and probably many others, just Sheldon being way more publicly visible), I would think you've already gotten used to it on the way.
Like plenty of other players, I briefly gave this idea a thought before, but it didn't last long at all because I was confident that there weren't that many archetypes/playstyles than would hold my interest long enough (especially across the various combinations) and decided to invest my planning into using those I know will hold my interest as my base plate and deciding color balance from there instead. But that's one of the beauties of EDH, the different ways people see how people can both fit themselves into the format and the format for them.
I'm working on a Mary O'Kill deck, so I'll also have a deck for silver-border games. I'm also getting Mary and the killbots altered to be Portal turrets.
I've also got designs for Norin chaos, Isamaru voltron, and Mishra control.
Child of Alara has sleeves with a mushroom cloud explosion. The mono-colored decks are all triple-sleeved with KMC Character Guard sleeves (just for fun, not because they're more expensive than the others). The other decks all use KMC perfect fit and Dragon Shield for double-sleeving.
The mono-color decks use sleeves of their color, and the 4-color decks use sleeves of the color they're not. The rest of the decks use a color that sorta-kinda matches the deck's colors. (Karn has silver sleeves.)
It’s taken me forever to get to this point, so I appreciate the amount of time and effort that you went through in order to get to the finish line. Well done!!
The oldest deck in the collection is Thada, which was the second EDH deck I ever made. The first was Vorosh, the Hunter infect/proliferate (built after SOM and before MBS) and the third was Glissa, the Traitor (built after getting the oversized Glissa from the last Player Rewards mailing). So that means I built Thada probably in November 2010, and I just finished K&T this week.
I don't think I'll ever build all combinations; I've just been building around generals I like so I end up with repeats like Brago, King Eternal and Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer.
1) Can you tag the commanders in your first post?
2) I would probably just list the box as color combinations, in case I want to build a second deck of said colors, i run two 5-color decks right now, (Well one is being taken apart) if i had a complete set of all 32 possible combinations, if i was getting a second set, well i would want to use the same box of the same combination, and all i had to do was look at the commander and recall the deck strat.
3) Can you fit a toploader sleeve in the single deck box with your deck?

If you look closely, you can see that Thraximundar, Narset, and Thrasios/Ikra Shidiqi have white-out on the boxes. Thada used to as well, but as the oldest deck, her box was falling apart and I recently replaced it with a brand new one.
3) Can you fit a toploader sleeve in the single deck box with your deck?
My commanders are all in toploaders, and they lay across the top of the deck in the box. These are BCW 200-count storage boxes, which fit a double-sleeved deck + space for tokens, or triple-sleeved with no extra space.
You can buy these boxes for $0.35/ea direct from BCW if you order a set of 50 ($0.55/ea for a set of 10, more if you buy from companies other than BCW).
I will look intopurchasing the boxes for my own set. I am gonna build one of each set as well. Dragons are my 5 color and i am working on narset. I will rebuild my old vela, kraul and aurelia decks and look into some fun mono colored generals. Like you i plan to build 32 decks.
AS someone who is also trying to complete this I understand how difficult it is. I'm currently finishing up my 16th deck.
Again, congrats!
same. (Well deck 11)
Right now I am deciding on deck. Deciding on commander and then buying the commanders. I figure if i have the commander there is no reason to not start picking up the needed cards.
Are you planning on switching up the commanders/style of deck for some colors? Or are you just doubling up at that point. Why stop here eh?
So.ple answer. He has 32 decks. If I go by how regularly I play. It will take me 7 weeks to play each one. (Average 5 games a week. And I like playing my decks more than once a night. So yea easily 7 weeks. Maybe more.
He .ight play more often than k do but that is still probably gonna be a few weeks.
Creativity can't be contained, in any real case, not by how many games are played...
32 is also too many for the amount of Commander games any (sane) person can play in a week. One more deck couldn't hurt that
well money might contain that creativity, or even just a lack of motivation after 40+ he had other decks in place of the ones before, and who is to say previous ones were not made before he started going for 32.
Not all my list are made but even i am tapped for creativity. I made a thread asking for help building narset (not that it got me the help i desperately needed)
Congrats dude, my question is how you decided which commanders to use to make it worth doing. Ive been trying for a while but find that the deck end up overlapping too much to make them unique.
