Mantis Rider / Lightning Angel - I love the combination of abilities and the low cost. Jeskai seems to always get odd / bad commanders so I like how these creatures feel a little open ended on how to build them but I could see aggro, tempo, or possibly even control options for them.
Dragon Broodmother - Its just a strong creature that I often consider when I am in the colors. I could see it being an interesting commander because it really could be played in a number of ways if you designed around it. Obviously you can do the usual token build but you could also do a death matters and use the devour trigger to handle killing creatures. I could also see trying to make some big fat dragon tokens also being fun.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Agree with most of above. I would also like to suggest Chromanticore. Would it basically devolve into a 5c good stuff deck? Possibly, but 5 colour voltron with the Shield of the Oversoul aura cycle would be Sweet.

EDH BRGKresh the BloodbraidedBRG, A box of lands and ideas.
Modern: RG Titanshift. A deck made of cards too stupid for EDH.
Retired: Lots. More than I feel you should suffer through or I should type out.
Stigma Lasher would be (at least) a decent Voltron Commander
2 mana - Not the lowest for its stats, but definitely still on the low end for re-casting.
Wither - Not exactly evasion, but provides incentive to not block and has a lasting impact if the blocking happens.
The ability (obviously not the Wither one...) - I suppose pragmatically in most games it doesn't really matter too much, but it can still make a difference some times (especially with low base-power Voltron strategies) and it probably strikes terror into some casual players. Not to mention it's one of the few emblem-worthy effects to exist on a non-planeswalker card (most others usually just involve having no maximum hand size for yourself).
Ashen Rider, no doubt. I love ETB and on-death effects and Ashen Rider is brutal both ways and gives you something fun to reliably ramp into in colors that are otherwise almost exclusively aimed at lifegain.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Wow, there are A LOT of really good creatures worthy of legendary status mention so far.
I was actually in a game recently playing my Obzedat, Ghost Council deck, and Dire Fleet Ravager was putting in the work! A decent body, menace, deathtouch, AND a decently abusable ETB ability for 3BB? Awesome. I had white to Eerie Interlude him for more ETB, but I was also threatening a recursion with Whip of Erebos if anyone removed him short of exile. He was putting in so much work and it was fun to see my opponents try to dance and play around him that I didn't even cast my commander until almost the last turn of the game. In that 3-player game, he must've drained almost 50 life from my opponents. Mono-B with him could be sweet with all kinds of reanimation/recursion, and he's a mythic to boot!

Sure, there is a chance of spending $4 on a booster and getting the Mythic Rare $30 super card. There is also a chance of surviving putting your tongue in a light socket.

(U/B)(U/B)(U/B) JUMP IN THE LINE, ROCK YOUR BODY IN TIME
(R/W)(R/W)(R/W) RISING FROM THE NEON GLOOM, SHINING LIKE A CRAZY MOON
(U/R)(R/G)(G/U) STEALIN' WHEN I SHOULD HAVE BEEN BUYIN'
I'll second Deadeye Plunderers. It naturally grows just playing the deck while also being a mana sink.
Blood Tyrant if it was slightly cheaper mana-wise would be good too.
Beating Face with Bane
Beatrice, the Golden Witch
Not entirely unique anymore (only does spells so you can't break Manabarbs or turn extra mana into shocks with Searing Meditation or even just gain a lot of life off Caltrops or Chandra Nalaar, but still...)
Yeah, Tamanoa's high on my list. Also, the nephilim, more as a legacy of those pre-partner days, but the decks I'm thinking of:
Dune-Brood Nephilim: Token/aggro
Glint-Eye Nephilim: Goodstuff
Ink-Treader Nephilim: Definitely a risky pick. You'll want Asceticism and Privileged Position at the very least. Though it wouldn't be that different from Mirrorwing Dragon. Turn Might of Oaks into Vitalizing Wind or Giant Growth into Overrun
Witch-Maw Nephilim: Voltron
Yore-Tiller Nephilim: Reanimator
I just love those little Evangelionesque abominations.
@Gashnaw:
Empyrial Archangel, Sphinx Sovereign, Prince of Thralls, Hellkite Overlord, and Godsire. Each one is mythic and has a cost of 4MNNO.

Heck, I'd take a mono black commander with Sacrifice an Artifact: Each Opponent loses 1 life.
