It gets played in modern? I do remember this guy doing work off a splash in the PTQ I top 8ed back in khans. Those were the good old days.
But yeah, dudes with keywords tend to fair badly in edh. Add in the color restriction and this guy has very few decks he can fit in, and even fewer that want him.

Yep, modern Humans is all the rage

Flying and vigilance are both great in EDH. If you are playing any sore of midrange or value seems good, but yea that color requirement.
If people are sick of reading about stuff just stop taking part. You have 100% control over what you read. Simic Ascendancy isn't going to get banned just because you didn't tell someone to shut up on the internet.
Keyword soup well-costed beaters just aren't where you want to be in EDH. Unless you have some specific synergies that work with them, but even then it's shakey.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Only reason I can think to run this card in Commander would be a Jeskai-themed deck, from Khans/Dragons. It's not an awful cards for other formats (modern has already been mentioned, and I believe it saw some fringe standard play when it was legal). It's just not anything exciting for us, I suppose.
With keywords, you're generally looking for synergy, e.g. lifelink in lifegain decks, giving deathtouch to Tims, and of course, tribal. Combat can be a win condition, of course, but it has to be backed by a lot of disruption just to stop combos.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Riku of Two Reflections - Copy, then copy again | Shattergang Brothers - Token Sac&Recur | Gahiji, Honored One - Multiple attack steps | Karametra, God of Harvests - Landfall, Creaturefall, Shroud | Ruhan of the Fomori - Stop hitting yourself | Zurgo Helmsmasher - Equipment&Wraths | Crosis, the Purger - Dragon Tribal Reanimator | Derevi, Empyrial Tactician - No stax, just tap and untap fun | Anafenza, the Foremost - Enduring Ideal Enchantress | Sharuum, the Hegemon - Sphinx Tribal Control | Noyan Dar - Spellslinger | The Mimeoplasm - Counterpalooza
Lists can be found here.
Still convinced the guy on Beseech the Queen is wearing a Mitra-type hat. Wake up sheeple!
Does good work in Azami, Inalla, Animar, Kraj, Atraxa, Zegana, basically any deck that loves +1/+1 counters or Wizards. And don't forget merfolk tribal. She can even be used to keep your creatures at power<3 for Meekstone.
My favorite hidden gem card draw trick is her and Fathom Mage. Play a creature with at least 2 power or at least 2 toughness to put a +1/+1 counter on Fathom Mage and draw a card, remove the +1/+1 counter to draw another card, repeat. A bit hard on mana, but that's what Training Grounds is for.

One of the “hidden gems” that scales particularly well in multi-player. It’s very meta dependent, but if your meta doesn’t have a high density of creatures, it could easily spiral out of control quickly with sac fodder or just an army of lizards.

What do you guys think about this card versus Wolfcaller's Howl?
Tamanoa - Welcome to the Jungle
Lists can be found here.
Eh, but gets considerably worse the longer the game goes.
Now, think this, then Sire of Insanity. Should be 3 tokes per spin.
Wolfcaller's Howl is in an odd place because I want it in a
This is interesting itself because it can force players into a sort of Sophie's choice in three-color. Arcane Laboratory and Rule of Law mean you can't cast noncreature spells unless you want a bear lizard on my side of the table. Orim's Chant or strictly-worse Silence now basically works as Isamaru, Hound of Konda with flash. Angelic Arbiter says "Oh, you want to attack? Then I get a bear lizard!" And of course, Void Winnower has odd effects with this card. Painful Quandary means you can discard a card, pay 5 life (which is hardly trivial, even in this format), or give me a bear lizard, and it's hilarious as Browbeat cards go: I can use Purphoros, God of the Forge and Warstorm Surge to further punish you for giving me a bear lizard, or use Liliana's Caress, Waste Not, Nath of the Gilt-Leaf (triggering the aforementioned red cards), Megrim, or Bloodchief Ascension to punish you for the discard.
On phasing:
Yes, I would like all of the things. Actually, on second thought, you can keep Peter Gabriel.
'Cause green's gotta do SOMETHING with all that extra mana.
My wife hit this for...I think 7 with her elf deck. That went really well for her...the rest of us, not so much.
