That’s at least the first one that popped into my mind. Granted, you’d have to work around the mandatory sac., but I think they both will get the job done. Love these types of interactions.
Incidentally I just put this card in Karador, a deck that's all about having more life, cards and creatures than the opposition. Yet to see it in action though, but Karador tends to get pretty critter-cluttered boardstate relatively reliably.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
It hits all opponents, so even you have enough of a creature swarm to eliminate one player, this give you the added reach of potentially eliminating the rest of the table. It also breaks through board stalls due to Pillow Fort decks and the like. I’d label it niche-tech rather than winmoar I guess.
Goblin War Strike isn't much of a commander card and this one isn't that much better. Price of Progress probably does more damage to your opponents in most games
I'd considered this for low CMC Edgar Markov at one point. It's a little bit out of leftfield for that deck though, mostly just because you want to be dropping vampires for continuing board presence, not a one time spell with no board presence. Could still be a decent add though.
Haven't really had a good enough spot for this fellow. Of my three most artifact-heavy decks, two aren't blue, and the last one (Breya) actually casts a lot of colored spells that produce artifact tokens, so this would miss more than it would hit.
Kinda needs a pretty specific kind of deck: one that casts a lot of artifacts... but also a fair amount of creatures.

Surprisingly narrow, but should be very solid in the right build. I have an artifact deck that needs a lot of ramp and spits out a few creatures, but I still play the mana myr over this. Do note of course that this card can tap for the mana itself. I should probably retest it...
It is also interesting with Inspiring Statuary. You convoke your artifacts and improvise your non-artifacts to convoke more artifacts and so on.
Hmmm.
Starting to think Chief Engineer is better than I thought. You just don't build around it like an Etherium Sculptor. You use it to power out big things.
Yeah, it's not bad at all. You can even use it to get out Mycosynth Golem.
And of course, things like Etherium Sculptor can now be tapped to convoke an artifact, in addition to making it cost 1 less.

Without a doubt, my favorite flip walker. It helps you build your mana, draws you cards to play with that mana, and if she gets attacked to death, replaying her effectively draws two cards. If the ultimate were good for closing a game of edh, it would probably be the most comprehensively useful general in the game.

Hey, my favourite too! Wonder why....
Head of my favourite deck, and she's the perfect example of a walker that constantly gets incorrectly assessed. I generally don't care when people attack into her walker side, as I more or less don't use the ultimate at all. She's there for extra draw and land drops, and it's something she does remarkably well.
It's a weird thing; I like this style of walker far more than one that blazes towards a devastating ultimate. Partially because it's a lot easier for them to earn their casting cost, and partially because they are a constant source of misinterpretation for opponents. It's just a really great way to keep opponents guessing.
The flip walkers in general were very cool design space.
Nissa is definitely the most "goodstuffy" of them - she's easy to use and doesn't really require anything to make good.
I've only made decks for Liliana and Kytheon. Kytheon had the weakness of being a white voltron commander, which is an unenviable combination of bad attributes. Liliana was pretty solid but a bit of a one-trick pony - I made a turbo-ult version with lots of board control. Which was funny but I think I prefer Geth for the same goal.
Jace is more of a cEDH card, since a looter for a couple turns that then becomes a usually-1-shot flashback is fine but not super exciting unless you're recurring time warps or (for cEDH especially) high tide. I've thought about making him, but he's sorta let down by the fact that the best stuff to flashback is...well, dickish.
And then there's Chandra. Poor, poor chandra. Nobody expected the mono-red walker to be good in EDH, but still. Ouch.
So what black general most enables one-shotting a table with this?

And keep on convoking artifacts with Howling Mine?
In reality though, Chief Engineer is generally worse that Etherium Sculptor, Foundry Inspector and possibly Jhoira's Familiar. Where Engineer is more interesting is if you have a token deck and get an early Mindslaver or Platinum Emperion.
