So, I have built a lot of stuff and currently really want a token deck.
I have a freyalise deck built and although I think she would be good for tribal tokens (and im not against the thought) I was wanting something maybe in multicolor that requires some skill or thought.
I know kamahl is an insane token commander but hes mono green. again, not against the thought of him but yeah.
I know Ghave seemed dope and there are like some black and white commanders.
I came into a doubling season and I have some really nice green cards left so I thought something in green would be fun but again I just want something fast and viable with some relatively combo heavy decks
Rhys, the Redeemed is the top dog of tokens in Green. Followed up by Trostani, Selesnya's Voice. I have a pretty decent Trostani deck that's fun to play. Although the amount of life she can gain can scare people.
Pairing the partner commanders Tana and Ravos give you access to four colors and both a token generator and token pumper in the command zone. They have a ton of synergy together, and let you run all the best token generators and pumps. It's fun if you want a giant token army rather than use tokens to combo.
Teysa is a great token commander that lets you have access to token based combo as well as use tokens to generate value via sacrifice.

The Meaning of Life: "M-hmm. Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations"
Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
For what your other requirements of wanting something "fast and viable with some relatively combo heavy decks", either of these will work.
That being said, for your other requirement of "wanting something maybe in multicolor that requires some skill or thought", I think that Prossh is probably the better option, but token strategies in genwral typically aren't very skill or thought heavy decks to play. They are, however, effective and imho very fun.
If you think Ghave seems cool, I suggest you give him a shot either way because he is probably just as fun to play as you think.
Also, as she is my favorite commander, and I have already seen someone else mention her, I would be doing myself a disservice of I did not second Teysa, Orzhov Scion as she is a blast to play, and heavily relies on token strategies, although she is not in Green as you have suggested.
Anyway, good luck in your search for a cool new token commander, and I hope you find something great for ya.
Rhys is a bit overrated in my experience. He's fairly clunky outside of his ability to double up on tokens you already have. I find it works better to have a commander that can generate tokens and then include support for that with a few backup options.
Ghave, Guru of Spores is probably the strongest tokens commander, although Marath, Will of the Wild is a close contender. Both of them can pull off powerful combos with cards that are already good in token decks meaning you can get explosive wins that don't compete with your main gameplan.
Prossh, Skyraider of Kher lends herself to a tokens subtheme, but that's mostly as sacrifice fodder as Jund tends to like.
Sounds like Ghave is your guy. Be prepared for the fact that, regardless what you run, you will almost certainly have a combo in there somewhere. I would say that he has far more depth than just a token commander - the tokens are there to fuel your nefarious plans. They can be enough to win, but when you start using them to inflict attrition on your table, stax the table out, then you're cooking with gas. There's some really good decks about and a couple of really clever primers too.
I should also add - Kamahl, Fist of Krosa is pretty crazy good. With enough mana (and you're in the colour for it) you have instant access to land destruction and the most obscene pump your deck could want. He's an excellent rattlesnake. Not saying you should definitely use him, but you should definitely consider him.

I have always wanted to see a Tana and Ravos or Tana and Tyma token deck in action. Its in all the right colors you have like all the options to chose from with them.
Although not a bad commander but also a good supporting card if you are R/G is Ulasht, the Hate Seed, he can pump out tokens and can be a huge beater if you have enough tokens in R and/or G on the battlefield.

Not the best, but i love taking him out and everyone is surprised of his existence and then I kill them out of nowhere.
His flavor is also top notch, I use Army of Allah as my token card
Rith, the Awakener is a really good token commander. I just finished building her for the 3rd time. She is really fun if you have 10 or so saprolings already when you hit an opponent to use her ability. The best combo I can think of with her is Cryptolith Rite + Utopia Mycon + Comet Storm. Though I am going a different route by using Helix Pinnacle for the lols.
I won't say best, but my favorite is my Ghoulcaller Gisa deck.
I love using equipment to make a single zombie huge, sacrificing it to make an army and repeating the process.
I love using Deathrender to sacrifice a token for value and putting big creature into play for free.
I love how black supports sacrifice for profit with Dicate of Erebos/Gravepact effects.
I have more fun with that deck than any other token producer.
P.S. I also have a Mizzix spellslinger deck with Young Pyromancer and other token producers which trigger off of spells being played. It is a lot of fun to durdle with card draw, tutors and so forth and be rewarded with a swarm of tokens.

"Whatever style you wish to play, be it fast and frenzied or slow and tactical, the surest way to defeat your opponent consistently is by dominating him or her in the war of card advantage." - Brian Wiseman, April 1996
I actually find Alesha, Who Smiles at Death to be a great token commander. Siege-Gang, Pia Nalaar/Pia & Kiran, Hidden Stockpile, Priest of the Blood Rite........
That's in addition to a terrific tutours and removal suite. It may not sound conventional...but it's worth exploring, I think.
First, you will need to decide whether you want cards that create tokens and a general that supports them, or a general that creates tokens and cards that support them. For me, the strength of cards like Chord of Calling and Earthcraft relative to those like Increasing Devotion, Ghoulcaller Gisa, etc, made up my mind toward the token-generator route for the general.
That being decided, you are looking at the formula of inputs v outputs – how much mana do you have to spend to get how many tokens? And, what else do you get besides tokens? With generals like Ghave, Marath, Hazezon, you are typically looking to hook up the general with one other card that gives you X tokens for each mana you spend. Some of them like Ghoulcaller Gisa, The Locust God, etc, are a bit more efficient or self-contained, but that is the general idea. At least with Tana, you pump your general and you get a pumped, tramply general, even if you are stuck behind a Propaganda, or for some other reason your tokens aren’t doing anything useful. Just build in some pumps and some countermeasures against wipes and you are good to go, which are two things that token decks are already running.
To partner her up, I like either Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder or Reyan, Last of the Abzan. It’s good to have backup that can boost your attacking power. If you want more Blue in your life, of course Kydele or Kraum will suit you fine.
