Recently I decided to try something a bit more challenging and construct a competitive deck comprised of walls. To add more of a twist onto this deck, the General is Karona, False God. Trying to follow a theme, I've been (mostly) successful, only using two non-wall creatures:
Granted, these two creatures still have Defender preventing them from attacking, but they allow the rest of the deck to either attack or deal damage directly.
Thing is you said competitive. With such a weak theme you can't have 100% on theme and competitive. Most people who want to play Wall.deck would be playing either Doran or Phenax. By going 5 color you gain the benefit of being able to play both of them and all the best cards from both decks(and Vent Sentinal I guess).
This thread inspired me to make a Wall deck, but a casual, semi-budget one instead of trying to make it competitive. I decided to go with Progenitus because it can be a win condition in itself and allows for all colors. (Any really expensive cards that show up are one's that I already have, ex: Demonic Tutor.)
Surprisingly, I don't really have many issues getting the colors I need. I wouldn't be opposed to swapping out some of the basics for the Vivid lands. I think this deck needs more protection from board wipes and more card drawing. I'm just not sure exactly what to take out for that stuff.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

So far the deck has the following combos:
Vent Sentinel+ All walls in play
Wakestone Gargoyle+Assault Formation+All walls in play
Rolling Stones+Assault Formation+All walls in play
Rolling Stones+Assault Formation+Wall of Blood
I've also added a few Enchantments to cause a bit of chaos to the deck, like Total War, Lightmine Field, Dictate of Erebos, Grand Melee, High Ground, and Pestilence just to name a few.
There are is also only 1 Sorcery; Primal Surge (for more Walls, Enchantments, and Lands).
So far, the deck has yet to win in a 4-player EDH game, but it has been successful in killing 2 of the 3 other players. Any ideas?

UB Vela the Night-Clad BUDecklist
WBG Ghave, Guru of Spores GBW
WUBRGThe Ur-DragonWUBRGDecklist
Good call on Behind the Scenes and Warmonger's Chariot. I overlooked those!
Phenax, God of Deception is also a nice touch for mill, but also a creature that isn't a wall...
On that note: Builder's Blessing(absolutely on theme)+ Heliod, God of the Sun/Brave the Sands
Yes, yes, I know that the word "competitive" is difficult following a Wall-themed deck, but that's the challenge. Doran, the Siege Tower is too easy.
Wall.deck is not competitive. Karona is a weakness. Doran is a better, more consistent deck.
But, if you want a janky fun deck built around walls, go for it.

I tried to think of different win conditions besides the big, bad hydra. I went with Maze's End, Banefire, Pestilence, Vent Sentinel, Ludevic's Test Subject, Assemble the Legion, Colossus of Akros, and allowing my walls to attack with Assault Formation, Rolling Stones, and Wakestone Gargoyle.
