Baron Von Count tickles me, from his silly name to his epic "destroy target player" Game Text. Not everyone will allow the Baron as a commander, but if they do, what is the best build for him? This is my initial sketch:
Every single card in the deck, minus a few staples, can move the DOOM counter at two different intervals, and many of the best cards can move it no matter what. A few questions we'll wait for the FAQ on are:
- If I use an old printing of Sol Ring or Mana Crypt, do they count for more than one number? Do I need R&D's Secret Lair in play for them to do so? Or does it not work outright due to a comprehensive rules change?

my thought is that they would because while they're not directly in the "text box", they're still numerals that show up on the card itself. Note, Chandra hits all 5 as her ult has a 5 in it.
personally, i just based it on oracle results for the most part, meaning that sol ring wouldn't count for a 1 and a 2

- Do Planeswalkers loyalty costs/starting loyalty count? They aren't technically "in the text box". I left them out, but something like Ob Nixilis Reignited, Liliana Vess (1,2,3,5) or Chandra, Torch of Defiance (1,2,3,4) is worth a look and Koth of the Hammer gives us the elusive 1,2,3,4,5.
- If I use an old printing of Sol Ring or Mana Crypt, do they count for more than one number? Do I need R&D's Secret Lair in play for them to do so? Or does it not work outright due to a comprehensive rules change?
