Hi all, im trying to build a sultai graveyard based deck but am unsure about which of the two should be the commander. At the moment the deck does not have any deliberate zombie interactions so this is more of a ability comparison. As I see it, Sidisi's repetitive self mill which makes blockers is good but offers no actual recursion in of itself where as Tasigur obviously does.
Thanks

Modern: RG Titanshift. A deck made of cards too stupid for EDH.
Retired: Lots. More than I feel you should suffer through or I should type out.
They can be built pretty differently. They both self-mill, but I've seen people do creature-heavy builds of Sidisi and run cards with flashback like Spider Spawning and cards that care about creatures in the graveyard like Gnaw to the Bone and Kessig Cage-Breakers (along with a lot of those creatures being self-sacrificing utility). You probably won't do the same thing with Tasigur, in which a lot of people appear to build it as a combo deck.
It depends on what you want to do with the deck besides "graveyard". What do you want to do with the graveyard? Fill it with creatures as fuel for other spells? Recur creatures/spells multiple times?
It depends on what you want to do. Do you want to go with a Reanimator strategy? Sidisi is probably better. Do you want to recur noncreature spells to keep your opponent's at bay (so more of a controlling build)? Tasigur might be more for you.
There can be a bit of overlap between the decks, but I feel they both want to do different things. Sidisi probably wants to go more into the self-mill plan while Tasigur wants to keep cards in the graveyard to a minimum so you get the best cards back as possible. Tasigur can also be more of a political card.
So, what are you trying to do with your "graveyard based deck"? Knowing a few more specifics about the deck can lead to better answers over what general seems to fit better.
Depends on what you want to do with the deck. Tasigur feels more suited to control and combo decks while Sidisi focuses more on graveyard synergies and zombie tribal.
