Hi all, I've been getting increasingly bored of my Intet, the Dreamer deck and think its time for a shake up. Enter Yasova Dragonclaw, a small cost for an interesting effect.
So the game plan for the deck is to steal everything that isnt nailed down with Yasova, Thada Adel, Acquisitor and various Threaten effects. Ideally I will then sac them to stop their owners from using them against me while controlling the board with counters. Ideally the deck will still be reasonably synergistic and playable without the commander on the field.
To do this I need Yasova to be bigger. EDH is full of powerful creatures and I think 6 is the minimum number to be really effective against most G/X decks as it covers most dragons, titans and anything smaller obviously. Aside from Hero's Blade does anyone have any interesting tech to make Yasova stay bigger and around longer?

Retired: Lots. More than I feel you should suffer through or I should type out.
Too mang tbi gs do this. Graft is a good ability. You may also want to run master biomancer and spikes can help. Cards that gradually give +1/+1 are also great.
While i get you want to build a state that pumps your general. Make sure you are running issurection. And whilenit is not imlortant, tbromok could eat a bunch of your stolen stuff and get big while doing so.
You really want Asceticism to make her last. She's still vulnerable to some wraths (if they have a "no regen" clause, exile, or something like All is Dust that just has a forced sac clause, or something like Black Sun's Zenith or Mutilate that just says her toughness is zero) and can be Edicted tho, so watch out. (Also, Sun Titan into Arrest, if we're being thorough.)
For permanent +N/+N, there are the usual anthems and lieges (though remember, she is only green). Things that grant +1/+1 counters are also useful.
You can also add +1/+1 counters with things like Ivy Lane Denizen.
Finally, may I suggest Urabrask the Hidden? Haste, and keeps opponents from having haste (functionally speaking).

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Bazaar Trader and Conjurer's Closet are real fun tech in a Yasova tech in that they allow you to keep whatever you steal, just something to consider.

I played Yasova as a tiny leader (since almost all creatures were smaller). I liked Ghostly Flicker + Eternal Witness to keep creatures I stole (and get extra ETBs if applicable).
SO Yasova was the 2nd deck I ever made and still one of my favorite decks to play. Some tech I use is:
o-naginatagets her to that awesome 7 power and can be grabbed with trinket mage.
stitcher graftalso cost one mana and gets her to the 7 power mark the untap trigger is not a problem as I run extra combat uptap effects but she doesn't have to attack to steal a dude and in a pinch can act like a sac outlet.
empyrial plateI run greater good as a sac outlet and let me just say that makes this card nuts. Steal something big and grow Yasova even bigger.
Although it doesn't work with Yasova's ability, Hazoret's Favor is nice with control effects during main phase 1.
are you sure about that? Cannot we put the two abilities on the stack as we want to?
You need to choose targets when the ability triggers, at which point you don't control your opponent's creature yet. Regardless of how you stack the abilities, Favor can't be targetting the opposing creature.

No mention of Sundial of the Infinite yet for dealing with those pesky "until end of turn" clauses?
Delayed response thanks to older thread, but this doesn't help for Yasova. Sundial can be used to counter EOT triggers, but it won't keep effects with a duration (like threaten effects) around past the end of the turn. It's even in the reminder text.

Yes - big fan of City of Shadows and Endless Sands over normal sac outlets. There's so much recursion in Commander that knowing something is exiled and won't go back to them ever gives a lot of piece of mind. I traded for a City a few months ago, and it's great in temporary theft decks.
I'm also a big fan of Telim'Tor's Edict for this purpose - one mana, instant speed, and it even replaces itself.

Vulshok Gauntlets are efficient and since Yasova doesn't tap to use her ability it's not much of a downside.
Demonmail Hauberk is pump and sacrifice together.
Rancor is solid and hard to get rid of.
Savage Ventmaw with extra combat helps Yasova's ability and goes infinite with Aggravated Assault.
Although it doesn't work with Yasova's ability, Hazoret's Favor is nice with control effects during main phase 1.

You draw 2, move to combat and threaten defector, draw 2 more cards for 1 u/r u/r.
Scenario 1: they use it on their turn to draw 2 and give it back. You will use it to draw 2, threaten, and draw 2 more.
Scenario 2: they don't use it on their turn, you threaten it on yours and draw 2.
At its worst, it's a divination every turn. At its best, it's a trade secrets.

As for ways to pump Yasova, I second Wolfir Silverheart. Also, Loxodon Warhammer gives a decent power boost if not toughness. And Thunderfoot Baloth boosts Yasova and your team as long as Yasova is out.
