Mulling over a few ideas to utilize some different cards in the collection, and maybe branch out from my usual vorthos-thematic or tribal decks. One such archetype that caught my eye was enchant...ment....tribal..... Okay, in hindsight, maybe not that far out of the comfort zone. We don't have an Enchantress deck in my playgroup ever since my one friend disassembled Bruna 1.0, and I always found the WG version more compelling anyway. I've seen a few guides and primers on the options - Sigarda Volton, Sigarda value, Karametra ramp, even a Selvala ramp/lifegain - and I was curious as to whether anyone here has had some experience with the variations and/or a preference on the Selesnya Enchantress General.
So my fellow commander-enthusiasts, who draws your eye more favorably? Sigarda, Host of Herons? Karametra, God of Harvests? Selvala, Explorer Returned? Are there many differences to the playstyles or major tech variations between them? Secret or well -known combos that might be helpful to keep an eye out for? Just trying to grab a little more background before I commit to anything, but the deck type seems fun and resilient enough that it could be interesting to try out. Would love any feedback you all would be willing to share.

Vorthos-player with way too much time on his hands and a love of thematic decks.
EDH - Yes, Each One is Named After a Song. I love tying music to my decks.
Why not Krond the Dawn-Clad? It pushes you a little more into the Aura route (though you can minimize this if you want) and it gives you a threat that has some utility and one that also needs to be answered. The mana requirement is somewhat intensive though.
Otherwise, I would suggest going with Karametra as she fits your theme a little better and is a way to get some (potentially) much needed card draw off your enchantresses.

I think it's perfectly alright to use Krond, Ir only needs one aura to start exiling things, and people have already been using Rancor in enchantress.
If your meta is full of so many answers, and so many boardwipes, that you can't seem to keep Sigarda on the table, then Karametra, God of Harvests becomes a better long-game general. You are loosing the threatening death-out-of-nowhere for a brick on the ground that constantly adds ramp to every creature you cast. You will likely not be as aura-intensive, since Karametra has no self-protection other than indestructible, and no evasion. She isn't ideal to enchant with aura's, since she can be pushed out of combat so easily by a few target'ed bounce (reducing your devotion). This sort of deck would be looking for something like mirran crusader to enchant up, or swarm with etb-value creatures along with +power boosts from collective blessing/mirari's wake/marshal's anthem/etc.
Selvala screams combo and will be hard to keep alive.
I don't think Selvala will be such a target, but it sounds like it depends on the group. Running Anafenza now, though, I can attest that having a 3cmc, toughness-4 critter as general is a great boon. Card draw after enchantresses are wiped is nice, too. I'd go with her.
Sig probably works best with auras. That's how I'd build her, at least.
Karametra could be just a beater, but she triggers your card draw. I think the big plus is that she can feed your KotR to get Serra's Sanctum, Emeria, or Scavenger Grounds online.
I play a Karametra enchantress deck, and Karametra stays on the table, gives you great ramp, and also triggers/synergizes with a lot of enchantress abilities herself, like Argothian Enchantress and Herald of the Pantheon. Aside from mass targeting your enchantments, it's usually really easy to get her devotion up where she's already walking and talking when you play her.
My brother plays Sigarda HoH, and Sigarda is a 5 mana beatstick that will drive your opponents into the dirt. She's such a powerful threat by herself that you have to worry about becoming a target because of how powerful she is. The only problem I have with Sigarda is that she is so good at going for the throat that often the deck is solely built on that, and it becomes the main/only strategy. It usually becomes "get to 5 mana, play Sigarda, swing." And nothing else matters.
What about Dragonlord Dromoka? Stops the inevitable evacuation etc. When you start animating your enchantments? Also, flying beat stick can lead to commander damage wins
Should be... but there are a great many awesome enchantment combos that are outside his restriction. Parallax Wave & Opalescence for example. I use him as my G/W Enchantress General and I rarely play him. However, if I know there's an issue with high CMC, non-creature, spells on the horizon, he comes out. I can get rid of him if I need to.
i feel like karametra, while being herself an enchantment, and very easy to turn into a creature in an enchantress deck... is incredibly wasted here.
you're barely utilizing her ability as your enchantment density is going to be much higher than creature density, and at that point you could run just about ANY g/w creature to similar, the same, or better results
sigarda is very samey - as in if you've seen one sigarda deck you've seen them all, and there is only one primary objective - smash face. people know what to expect and they'll either keep her in check, or die. in a pod, you'll probably take out 1-2 people or just get absolutely obliterated
honestly, right now, if you're not aiming for just bashing faces in with sigarda, there really aren't any great enchantress generals in g/w and realistically you can shove any g/w legend into the drivers seat to have the exact same effect as every other one. hell, i've been kicking around the idea of jasmine boreal just because of the art and how little it will actually make a difference who you stick there that isn't sigarda.

Sigarda, Host of Herons is just terrifying in a group with little blue (less cyclonic rift/evacuation/devastation tide/ect effects). With the plethora of totem armors and other goodies like Shield of the Oversoul/Gift of Immortality, board-wipes are really not too good at stopping Sigarda.

As long as you keep your enchantments within his restriction, he should be a great general for this?
