Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign4UU Legendary Creature - Sphinx (MR)
Flying
Sphinx spells you cast cost 2 less to cast.
Whenever Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign or another Sphinx enters the battlefield under your control, reveal the top four cards of your library. An opponent seperates those cards into two piles. Put one pile into your hand and the other into your graveyard.
4/4
Sphinx of the Final Word: Aside from having its cost reduced to 3UU and also enabling to do more Fact or Fiction, it can't be countered and has hexproof and it makes your instants and sorceries, like Cyclonic Rift, uncounterable.
Hour of Need: Can allow you to exile one or more of your sphinxes permanently in an emergency and trigger more Fact or Fiction effects.
Vanquisher's Banner: Makes your Sphinxes get +1/+1 and for each that ETB, you can draw a card. Fairly handy with the second part as their are quite a few sphinxes that like peeking and library manipulation.
The blue version of Conspiracy that's coming in Ixalan seems like a must since the sphinx tribe is so small. Along with all the verious generic tribal supports like Metallic Mimic and Adaptive Automaton
I hope this still considered to be constructive but I think putting this guy into an Isperia Inscrutable is the way to go as you can grab this new sphinx and tutor up even more. Not being able to easily recast Unesh isn't fun but I think the addition of white and other great white flyers is probably a good decision. If you are running mono-blue though it just seems like you should run a decent number of sphinxes and not go too crazy with the sphinx plan as the tribe is pretty small.
Library manipulation in general to make sure you get that topdeck you want.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
If you're not too picky about actual Sphinxes, how about changelings? They're already cheap and with the cost reduction, you can have FoFs for 1 or 2 mana.

Yep not enough mono blue sphinxes so we need the blue changelings.

Don't get me wrong, drawing cards is the direction this deck wants to go, but you can just use that a way to really screw with your opponents. In true sphinx fashion, a riddle...
A lot of these cheat out more cards, draw more cards, or give extra information to feed into cards like Conundrum Sphinx. Glyph Keeper is just a big beater but hard to get rid of. Also, Chancellor of the Spires goes infinite with cloning instants or sorceries in opponents' graveyards, like Heat Shimmer.
You definitely want to be running a lot of the good blink effects that blue has access to, such as Essence Flux, Ghostly Flicker and Displace. These cards serve double duty as not only do they get you extra triggers off of Unesh as well as the numerous sphinxes that have ETB effects, but once you get going with Unesh he is quite likely to be the target of spot removal, so protecting him while also generating value seems awesome and lets you play fewer of the worsesphinxes while still getting tons of FoFs. Supplement with cheap counters to protect against wraths.
While it's nice to finally have a good Sphinx Lord, I dread playing against it. Having to resolve multiple FoF triggers each turn is going to make turns take forever to resolve.

The secret to enjoyable Commander games is not winning first, but losing last.

I was goldfishing with an Unesh list I made when I realized my best play for my turn was casting Rite of Replication on my Unesh.
That is thirty FoF triggers.
I imagine most opponents would concede once I tell them I have Ulamog in the deck.
Lab maniniac seems really good you choose your whole deck but don’t actually draw during the fof so you can’t deck yourself, unesh+right of replication kicked= game since you can just look for lab maniac and deck yourself then play one cycle card

Argent Sphinx: It basically reads as "U: Once per turn you may Fact or Fiction."
Cryptic Gateway: Tap two sphinxes, cheat a third into play.
Riptide Replicator and Volrath's Laboratory: Allows for the creation of sphinx tokens which means more ETB triggers.
Arcane Adaption and Xenograft: Add other tribes, declare Sphinx, enjoy the benefits.
Vanquisher's Banner: Makes your Sphinxes get +1/+1 and for each that ETB, you can draw a card. Fairly handy with the second part as their are quite a few sphinxes that like peeking and library manipulation.
Consecrated Sphinx: Obvious choice to be had in the deck.
Sphinx of Uthuun - what about four FoFs!!!!!?!?!??!?!
Horizon Scholar - Normally quite bad, but at 3U becomes much better and scrying prior to FoF is solid.
Warden of Evos Isle, Windreader Sphinx, Favorable Winds, Gravitational Shift - Only one of these is a sphinx, but almost all Sphinx fly.
Empyrial Plate, Venser's Journal - You are likely to have a full hand at all times once Unesh is on the battlefield.
Mistform Warchief, Urza's Incubator, Sapphire Medallion, Kefnet's Monument - Sphinxs be costly, so this should help.
Crystal Shard, Erratic Portal, Deadeye Navigator - anything that blinks or pounces Sphinx is nice here.
RCRDaretti: Superfriends Forever RCR
WGBDoran: Ent-mootWBG
GGGMultani: Group Bear HugGGG
GB(B/G)The Gitrog Monster: Dredgefall DurdleGB(B/G)
RGWGahiji, the Honored Group Hug MonsterRGW
UB(U/B)Yuriko, Ninja Trinket AggroUB(U/B)
WUBRGAtogatog: Assembling a OHKOWUBRG
That new 4UU sorcery that is like a Cyclonic Rift for one opponent.
Library manipulation in general to make sure you get that topdeck you want.
On phasing:
Yep not enough mono blue sphinxes so we need the blue changelings.
So
mothdust changeling
shapesharer
turtleshell changeling
amoeboid changeling
Or instead of running bad cards, we run good ones...
Clone and their Variants are much better cards than any of those listed, save for shapesharer and maybe Amoeboid.
I say run cards like Cackling Counterpart to double up on sphinx triggers, same cost, miles better effect.
Personally, running this deck built around discarding rather than keeping a full grip. Considering cards like Vexing Sphinx and Prognostic Sphinx(among a few more) benefit from discarding, you can keep on theme and run cards like Drake Haven, Telekinetic Bonds and Mind over Matter. It also gives Sphinxs Tutelage ability some actual juice.

My oh my, I'm talking myself into building this.

Beating Face with Bane
Beatrice, the Golden Witch
Blinks can be used to reset clones onto better creatures, and the deck is probably running some number of blinkable creatures (Trinket Mage, Solemn Simulacrum, Duplicant) to get additional value and utility even if Unesh gets shut down early on. Combine Ghostly Flicker and Archaeomancer with Gilded Lotus to generate infinite storm (Palinchron is infinite mana too, but unlike Lotus it's only useful for the combo) or with Panharmonicon to generate infinite turns if you're having trouble finding a wincon.
I want to do this on a Sphinx of Uthuun and Paradox Engines...every time I attack i get 4 FoF
This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
