I have four decks I'm rather fond of that are meta-appropriate and my budget doesn't really support building more, but I want to build a fifth deck anyway. I've recently busted up six decks that greatly expand my card pool in a pretty small collection made up of cards that were in a deck at some point (I either traded or gave away the rest). So I actually feel like putting an odds and ends deck together to get the fifth deck, only built from cards I already own so that I only have to pay for a pack of sleeves. A fair number of staples to choose from, five colors, Cromat as the ultimate odds and ends Commander. I haven't put a decklist together yet, but there will be mostly cards that synergize well, even among the wonkier cards like the volver cycle (Rakavolver and his bros.)
Even as odds and ends, there's an actually pretty decent chance it could end up as my best deck. I don't bother looking at the top good stuff lists, but I know that a number of cards I own are probably on the lists. Has anyone put together such an odds and ends deck from just cards on hand without trying to go over the top, and how did it shake out in your deck power hierarchy?
Also, what were some of the fun things you ended up putting in there?
Edit: not looking to play degenerate infinite combos, or jam in every powerful card not presently in a deck, just putting together a functional, balanced deck with cards that are a hoot to play. So that's along the lines of what stories/experiences I'd like to hear from you. Thanks.
I think reaper king would be a better odds and ends deck. If most of your good lands are in other decks, it kind of allows you to pay the two colorless to make up the fact its just s thrown together deck.

Actually, good lands is something of a driver for this deck. One of the six decks I tore apart was a rainbow token edh. The lands therefore are not actually a concern. I do like Reaper King. A shame I don't own one.
