Ever since the Gods were revealed in Amonkhet, I've considered Rhonas the Indomitable to be my favorite of the five, and I wanted to build a deck around him somehow since I liked his abilities a lot. To that end, I'm trying to figure out how best to do that, and the best that I've come up with so far is essentially exploiting his Deathtouch ability with things like Lure, Taunting Challenge, and Alluring Scent, because these cards force all your opponent's creatures to block Rhonas, resulting in them all being destroyed.
I also thought it would be a good idea to use cards like Savage Punch and Epic Confrontation, because with a Deathtouch creature like Rhonas on the field, those spells essentially function as green removal spells. This kind of deck would also include a ton of Green Deathtouch creatures like Thornweald Archer as well, because then you can use them as backup targets if Rhonas doesn't happen to be on the field. Rhonas's ability also needs to be triggered, too, so the tentative decklist I have incorporates green buff spells as well to activate it.
What do you all think of this general strategy, though? Is that a good way to build around Rhonas, or do you think there are better ways to play him? This is just what I've come up with off the top of my head.
Otherwise, I am intending to go full Fight Club with Rhonas. All the fighting, all the time, and Rhonas & co can hit through a mostly empty board. He (like all Amonkhet gods) makes pretty good Aura target, and green has some "you wanna go nuts with size?" enchantments like Mythic Proportions. Killing someone in a single hit with commander damage is probably not that unfeasible with a deathtouch/indestructible(/trample) commander.
Creature-wise, you probably want mostly utility or deathtouch (for using some more fights) and that four-power. Given that we're in green... that doesn't even narrow it down that much. Also of note, 2-or-3 power creatures can be made big enough for a turn by Rhonas.
Other than those points... whatever you want to run in monogreen, really. Rhonas doesn't restrict much.

What are your thoughts about the Lure effects I talked about? Do you think those should be put in the deck too, if we're trying to exploit Rhonas?
And another thing I thought about was adding ramp effects to the deck to A) cast bigger creatures easier and B) activate Rhonas's ability multiple times, which would ensure that Rhonas is almost certainly permanently activated. Do you think that's worth looking into?
If ramp was added, I could swap some low-power deathtouch creatures for 4-power creatures, and plan on having that extra mana to power Rhonas's ability.
Remember that 4+ power is essentially the ferocious ability of the Temur clan. Look there for more inspiration.
Also, since he is a reliable trample giver, creatures that can double their power like that artifact creature from Kaladesh or Chameleon Colossus seem really good.
Also, this may be the first general to really put Arena to good use.

Lure effects are always spicy with deathtouch, I see no reason why not.
I'm like 80% sure that ramp happens as an accidental side effect of building monogreen, at any rate. In this instance, you'd want to ramp that comes attached to a 2+ power creature (Ondu Giant, Wild Wanderer, Borderland Explorer, Circle of Elders, Drumhunter, Golden Hind...) so you can also use said creature to get Rhonas active by using his ability. Circle of Elders' even gets its' ability online with itself and Rhonas, activating Rhonas' on the Elders once. Synergy!
I would probably keep a fair amount of deathtouchers about, especially as you add more mana to use: high-power trample-deathtouch is a nightmare to block, after all, and you'll want redundancy in case Rhonas can't attack (indestructible creatures make for juicy Pacifism targets, for example).
Edit: also realized that Rhonas can't buff himself. So, yeah, you'll want targets for his ability.

Hey everyone-

Infiltration Lens
also Tempting Licid, Engulfing Slagwurm
You really want to give your general trample, since that combos with deathtouch (deal one damage to each blocking creature, the rest goes over).
Heart-piercer bow, sword of fire and ice, thornbite staff all go well with deathtouch.
8.RG Green Devotion Ramp/Combo 9.UR Draw Triggers 10.WUR Group stalling 11.WUR Voltron Spellslinger 12.WB Sacrificial Shenanigans

Rhonas is also a reliable, indestructible trample outlet, so things that are big but don't trample can be fairly good (Dungrove Elder, Allosaurus Rider, Ulvenwald Hydra etc.)
Other than those points... whatever you want to run in monogreen, really. Rhonas doesn't restrict much.
