NOTE: You need not agree with each suggestion I make OR collect here for a possible Hazoret deck. These are just here to get the brain juices flowing for what could or wouldn't work potentially.
Apocalypse, it's been a LONG while since I last saw that card, I wonder why it hasn't been more popular in commander, where you can just stock up mana to cast the general right after.
That said, I don't think it's a good card for Hazorat. You may be able to use her to attack right after, but once you draw more cards and cannot spend the cards, she revert back to immobile again.
I saw someone else suggest it, but since R has some ways to make infinite mana you can always not play Haz until you have that, equip a Grafted Exoskeleton, and infect the table out.
Yep, since Hazzy starts as a creature unlike Purphy, gives her all the privilege for equip/aura. As for mana? Braid of Fire.
EDIT: BTW, someone mentioned vehicles, one more strength compare to Purphy.
Vehicles would be helpful.
On the line of thought of braid, I also remembered a handful of mana cards that could be helpful. Obstinate Familiar or Words of War would be helpful to stave off having too many cards in hand.

Fear of exiling things, mostly. And it can't be worked around (which can hurt you too), and you discard your hand, so it's actually worse. On the plus side, it gives mono-R a way to deal with ench—ohwaitnever mind
Anyway, I was thinking you could also exploit the indestructible with Pyrohemia. One major advantage over Purphy: You don't need three more noncreature R symbols.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I really like the card, and have already started brewing a list. I like the feeling of deck-construction that she is requiring. I also like that the mono-red pseudo-card-advantage effects like chandra, pyromaster/outpost siege still allow some sort of card advantage while permitting some control over hand-size.
I think the hardest part will be the consistency issues that mono-red always faces. The card-pool selection makes for some awkward needs, either in terms of creating enough mana to reliably use her discard effect, reliably find an alternate discard effect, making her meaningful to actually attack with, all while also keeping her alive. The main issue is that there is no way to consistently dump our hand and attack with her, making her haste most likely irrelevant in early turns.
Let's be honest here. This is a set-up that will fail if we focus on just one pathway (hellbent to attack, or focusing on discard-to-burn). If we build the deck designed around cheap utility and discarding down so we can attack effectively, then something as simple as a capsize can make our game pointless (not from bouncing Hazoret, but just because we may not be able to actually control our hand size). And focusing entirely on her extremely expensive-to-activate burn ability can be negated by so many effects in EDH.
I think relying on madness cards isn't going to be very good.
I think the best approach will be a somewhat midrange voltron approach with a pile of cheap utility spells. A deck that runs an absurd amount of cheap 2-cmc-or-less mana rocks, even jeweled amulet, and possibly some rituals like seething song/pyretic ritual/etc. A deck that runs lightning bolt and flame slash. Crucible of Worlds is the #1 card needed for the deck. I'm thinking some basic graveyard utility like recoup to help recover some wheel of fortune effects when we are ready to actually have more than 1x card in hand, but nothing excessive like phoenixes, madness cards, or past in flames.
The infect gimmick is cute, but keeping mono-red means there are very few ways to tutor that up (hoarding dragon+gamble+Godo, Bandit Warlord). My issue with that is the actual casting+equip cost of the equipment, along with the inclusion of the potential tutors like Godo, are raising the mana-cost on the deck. It just seems better to rely on a super low curve so we don't get cluttered up with high-cmc cards in-hand and being forced to make choices on what to discard.
Either way I'm still very much intrigued with this card. I like seeing a new hellbent general since Malfegor really doesn't get much attention. Limiting to mono-red makes this even more challenging. I'll post a decklist once I get it down from 180x cards.
If you plan on using Hazoret's ability, you should play Drownyard Temple. If you build the ability, you can't focus on the damage part or she'll be outclassed by Heartless Hidetsugu. Feldon of the Third Path could be fun with the discarding
Personly, I'd play cards that take advantage of Indestructible. Dead-Iron Sledge practically gives Hazoret Deathtouch and Capricious Efreet's downside isn't anything to worry about anymore.
I guess I'm scared of losing all my cards in a format where card advantage feels so crucial. so I might build her into a mono-red control sort of deck and focus on using her ability to slowly ping the table down? Though in that regard ashling the pilgrim or jaya ballard, task mage would be better i suppose.
if you go that route you'll need squee, goblin nabob and maybe a couple phoenixes. The damage doublers would be solid in helping her to get there, and if you play glacial crevasses or glacial chasm or even smoke, they'll help your opponents kill each other. a lot of red's discardoutlets let you turn arbitrarycards into burn, so the deck could operate by trying to draw a ton of cards and then just turn all of them into burn. the fact that this lets Hazoret the Fervent attack is icing on the cake that might help you do the last bit of damage. It's true that grafted exoskeleton isn't a reliable win-con in a color that can't tutor it, but i'd still put it in the deck given that it can just win the game outright if left unchecked.
i figure the control/defensive elements of the deck would have to be permanents, so that they don't clog up your hand. that shouldn't be a huge problem, since mono-red control tends to be artifact-based anyway. so ideally you'd be drawing through your deck at a decent clip, then just pitching everything every turn to burn people out and attack while sitting behind some defensive artifacts. with a good mix of the extra-draw and flashback cards you should be able to find answers when you need them while still keeping the damage up.
I think my brew would be mostly along with what Macabre said: not overly focusing on either aspect(discard or indestructiblity) and mostly focusing on the element of Spam. At the very least, could be a rather fun deck to brew, especially as my current monored is rather boring.

Heartstone looks like a good inclusion in this deck. Particularly if you go a bit of a madness/flashbacky route instead of full-on aggro. Personally, I think I'd build mostly around the discard option to whittle enemies down on top of such a strategy, which would open a path for Runehorn Hellkite - which is a hilarious combo disruptor as everyone forgets about it - and other assorted does-stuff-from-GY cards. Grafted Exoskeleton would be a wincon in this deck for sure.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
For when your hand's not small enough yet and you want to use Hazoret, I'd recommend Dragon Throne of Tarkir. To still do damage even if she's not active, there's Burning Anger and Surestrike Trident. Loreseeker's Stone is iffy for it's cost, but if you're post-combat and Hellbent with a ton of open mana, might be nice to have. Flamewake Phoenix comes back to the field for one mana as long as Hazoret's on the board.
Its 1 or fewer, so could of course attack next turn no matter what the next card is following turn, but you'd have a zero-one CMC deck, so could rumble in every turn.

Would Kozi 2 be a good inclusion here? While it draws you back to 7 cards, you can pitch them to either counter a spell or with Hazoret for damage, when attacking isn't favorable.
Like Purphoros, I don't think Hazoret needs to attack unless it's benefitial, so were shouldn't be in a hurry to rid the hand of cards. Her attacking and blocking should be an extra bonus when we're low on hands.

You really need to play ALL the mana accelerates in my opinion to fit Kozi 2.0 into the deck. So Mana Vault, Mox Diamond, Chrome Mox, etc. Too be honest I have no idea how you actually gain advantage through Hazoret the Frevent as your general if you're not attacking with her? The discard ability seems on the very under-powered side to warrant a mono-red deck. I suspect its why this brew won't actually come together as anything serious.
Now in a multicolored brew with her in the 99 and Training Grounds, I could see some sort of draw 7 deck (Windfall, Wheel of Fortune, etc), that aims to empty the hand and refill

I didn't say don't attack with Hazoret, I said attack only when situation is in need of it, as with all generals. Hazoret has the option of sniping with direct damage (w/ or w/o infect attached).
But you raised an interesting perspective with mana artifacts. Decks that run multiple (if not numerous) mana artifacts tend to run out of cards in hand until drawn, Hazoret benefits from the low hand size. Red draws like Outpost Siege allow Hazoret to maintain that low hand size but still able to cast spells. Perhaps it's beneficial to have many mana rocks in Hazoret variants.
Could be a creaturesless deck, so run lots of blowup creatures, while using the indestructible nature of being a God.
As cyberium points out with Outpost Siege, using cards that gain advantage without drawing could be good. I was thinking a planeswalker theme with creature wipe backup could be at least a theme:
Chandra, Pyromaster - 0: Exile the top card of your library. You may play it this turn. Chandra, Torch of Defiance - +1: Exile the top card of your library. You may cast that card. If you don't, Chandra, Torch of Defiance deals 2 damage to each opponent. Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker -6: You get an emblem with "At the beginning of your draw step, draw two additional cards" and "At the beginning of your end step, discard your hand."
@darrenhabib Thanks for pointing out Gustha's Scepter, I'm adding it to my own list.
On the topic of mana rocks, I've added some mana rocks I can that can sac for cards, like Mind Stone, Hedron Archive, Commander's Sphere, and Dreamstone Hedron, as well as other cards that can keep the card flow moving, like Loreseeker's Stone, Magnifying Glass, and Tamiyo's Journal. It makes sense to me that the beginning of the game will be when you move to drop your hand and get as much mana as you can on the board. Once you've naturally reached a Hellbent state and you have more and more mana to invest into cards, you turn that mana into cards in your hand.
I'm putting a lot of fatties on my list as good top decks, so I'm also running Sneak Attack to drop those fatties hard and fast and clear up my hand size. Since running Hazoret effectively will likely build a nice graveyard, I'm also running Feldon of the Third Path as artificial recursion and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth to cycle my 'yard back into my library.
I personally intend to do a fair deal of swinging with Hazoret, but drawing cards during or after combat is totally fair game if she's already declared as an attacker. For hand-refilling, as well as general fatty beats, I'm running Dragon Mage and Knollspine Dragon.
The more I think about the overall successful running of this deck, the more I think recursion and graveyard recycling will be necessary to capitalize all of its strengths. Of course, mono-red isn't exactly well known for pulling ordinary creatures out of the 'yard and I don't want this to devolve to another deck where Daretti would be better in charge, so my question for you all is how can we best recycle our graveyards in a Hazoret deck?
I have cobbled together a Hazoret deck I been theorycrafting based on the suggestions within this thread. This deck has not seen a single match, only goldfishing and with proxies for cards from Amonkhet that are not released.
I think its interesting that everyone is zoning in on ways to keep the hand empty to attack with Hazoret and is treating him/her/it as though its basically an odd version of Leovold. I think if I were building the deck I would want to capitalize the Madness/Hellbent/discard mechanics as much as I can. Machine gunning down opponents with Haz's ability seems great if you can produce the mana for it and refill through cards like Reforge the Soul, Ghirapur Orrery, etc. Haz likes and empty hand, but I think you would get more value off of drawing, and dumping every turn (like what Ghirapur Orrery wants you do to) than by simply maintaining ways to draw without putting the cards in hand.

Past cards like this to help actually allow her to attack, only then would it be ideal to work on her burn ability. Increasing her damage with gratuitous violence/furnace of rath/dictate of the twin gods/illusionists' bracers/rings of brighthearth seem good.

Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest WUR Voltron Control
Temmet, Vizier of Naktamun WU Unblockable Mirror Trickery
Ra's al Ghul (Sidar Kondo) and Face-Down Ninjas
Brudiclad, Token Engineer
Vaevictis (VV2) the Dire Lantern
Rona, Disciple of Gix
Tiana the Auror
Hallar
Ulrich the Politician
Zur the Rebel
Scorpion, Locust, Scarab, Egyptian Gods
O-Kagachi, Mathas, Mairsil
"Non-Tribal" Tribal Generals, Eggs
Good stuff planeswalkers:
Daretti, Scrap Savant - help fuel the Past in Flames
Koth of the Hammer
Chandra, Flamecaller -X: Chandra, Flamecaller deals X damage to each creature.
Chandra Ablaze - all abilities relevant
Karn Liberated
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon
Creature kill:
Blasphemous Act
Chain Reaction
Nevinyrral's Disk
Anger of the Gods
Earthquake
Ghirapur Orrery - seems good to discard before turn to refuel.
The interesting thing with these new Gods is they are actually creatures at all times, so Worship in a multicolor brew is now a really great card.
In a creature brew Lifeline is amazing
Niv-Mizzet Reborn
Feather, the Redeemed
Estrid, the Masked
Teshar
Tymna/Ravos
Najeela, Blade-Blossom
Firesong & Sunspeaker
Zur the Enchanter
Lazav, the Multifarious
Ishai+Reyhan

Edit - Actually considering running Triassic Egg
