I find that Planar Cleansing takes to much value away from the caster, unless you're running Darksteel Plate on your general.
Considering it can wipe out all threats in one card, its amazing. I don't have that many spots for mass boardwipe since I am the one usually making the board filled with tokens and creatures.
And the annoyance of drawing the wrong boardwipe against the wrong opponents is annoying. Draw a creature boardwipe against an artifact control

Meh, you rip it if you have nothing to lose, in most cases, I never have that state so it's an over-costed board clear. As I said it's fine if you run Avacyn or have ways to protect your investments.
It's underplayed for a reason because, as stated above, you need to be losing less in the exchange or it's just not good.
Boompile and Chain Reaction favorites of mine. Chain deals with token swarms and wipes the largest boards. It doesn't get around indestructible unfortunately, but the damage is enough to get most things. Boompile as well. Most people see "flip a coin" and run, but most opponents won't risk attacking you. Also you can fire it off on the end step before your turn and, if it doesn't just destroy everything, you still have it untapped to fire off again.
The underrated boardwipe that I think you should really run is Tragic Arrogance. It gets indestructible creatures, it gets Gods (the theros enchantment ones), it gets everything except your best stuff. The only problem I've had is people sacing all of their board but one thing in response.
I know what you're thinking, token players hate boardwipes. Well, that is generally true, until you discover March of Souls. When your opponent has more creatures, it cuts them down to 1/1 size. When your opponent has better creatures, it turns the game to your advantage. When you have Anointed Procession and friends, you get twice as many tokens. When you have Aura Shards, you basically get to destroy all of an opponent's artifacts and enchantments. (And if you also have Mycosynth Lattice or Enchanted Evening, um, yeah.) When you have Warstorm Surge, you can snipe at opponents' tokens. When you have Cathars' Crusade or Purphoros, God of the Forge, it's a wincon.
@Last Laugh: Because it's for "underrated" boardwipes, not "things everybody plays".

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I'm partial to Task Mage Assembly and having other players take care of my opponents' creatures, but you have to build your deck around it.
If you have a lot of weenie decks and token decks on the wrong side of the table, Magus of the Tabernacle kills them dead (budget Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite).

I have literally never seen someone cast Last Laugh.
Maybe I should've quoted Last Laugh, but I was referring to the idea of Austere Command being underrated.
I have a small list of boardwipes I consider for token decks. Austere Command is definitely on that list.

Also, Hazezon Tamar wants to die anyways.

I know a Chainer, Dementia Master player who runs Decree of Pain mostly for the cycling mode. I must imagine Myojin of Night's Reach could also often make good use of it.
