Okay so I recently converted my Rafiq deck into Atraxa. I had teh issue where I would Suit up Rafiq and swing. Linear and kinda dull. So i set out to try something else. Ended up building Atraxa in hopes that her lack of Exalted and benefits from swinging with one would deter me from only swinging with one creature. It did nothing to change that, Atraxa is still my swing to win creature (Barring Blighted agent or someone with Whispersilk cloak and Grafted Exoskeleton.) So i need some help. Was going heavy equipment deck with mainly support creatures the wrong move? Should I have tried something else with Atraxa (that is not super friends, as muh as I love abusing PWs, Atraxa is too close knit to them. I would like something else from her.
Atraxa can be built in a lot of ways. Some of them - superfriends, infect - are so obvious that they were tedious by the time the card was actually released. Voltron is fine, but doesn't really do much with Araxa's profiferate ability. I have built a "counters matter" deck using Atraxa, mostly because I find that much more interesting than the options listed above, and because it tends to play out very differently from game to game. The fact is, there are tons of cards that make, add, receive and otherwise interact with counters, and lots of different types of counters, such that this particular style can support a lot of different decks depending on the specific mix of cards one uses.
Honestly, Atraxa is just a very boring general. She isn't bad but she isn't top tier good either and her builds always seem to be slower and more predictable than they should be. I think she would have been far more iinteresting/effective if she proliferated during your upkeep.

Then she would need flash. Proliferating end of turn means you actually get a chance to do so. If it is your upkeep, well that is a full round where she can be killed.

Yea I am thinking that is probably my best bet. i may keep some equipment but overall, not the best idea to build Atraxa as voltron (I was wanting to have several creatures to attack with, but the mentality remained of swing big)
Counters does sound better. Something to proliferate and I can pump enough creatures for them all to be scary.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Should stop the leave play trigger. Nice and mean.
The return them and do some more :3
I was thinking I could shut down a people with a doubling seasoned Paralax Tide and stifle the return.
With Atraxa (or any proliferate effects) adding fading counter to those enchantments each turn, as long as you don't use up the last one you can keep them in play, without having to worry about stifling the effect. You can of course keep a Stifle just in case Atraxa or your prime proliferate source gets nuked.

Or if they nuke my enchantment I can stifle the effect as it is getting destroyed.
