I have a hard time cutting voidmage husher out of most of my blue or blue/x decks. 90% of the time she is a dead card, but from the eye-rolling trolling plays where she becomes useful, I always want to keep her in the 99. At worst she is a surprise chump-blocker, but when it comes to optimization, she really isn't as good as stifle/trickbind.
Very similar is my annoying passion for fatespinner and notion thief, especially in decks that can't take advantage of them or don't need them.
Imp's Mischief and Darkness are also in pretty much any mono-black deck I run, and it is a real struggle to exclude them from black/x decks.
I love Puca's Mischief, its right up there with Wild Ricochet as one of my favourite cards. But whats the sac outlet for?

EDH RRGrenzo plays your deck, GGYeva's mono green control, WW9-tails trys desperately for monowhite not to suck RWBUTymna and Kraum's saboteur tribal, UWG Kestia's Enchantress Aggro, RUB Jeleva casts big dumb spells, RGB Vaevictis' big critters can kill your critters hard

I could be wrong, but it might very well be to avoid having to give stuff back in case of a Homeward Path or other such effect. But there's also the whole thing of getting crazy shenanigans via a sac outlet that you didn't need to pay for with YOUR stuff...either way, you win(hopefully).
Wild Ricochet and...
...
... Mages' Contest, in a nonblue deck. No one *ever* expects the monored counterspell.
Also Whims of the Fates if I can copy it somehow. I always put all of my cards in the same pile and, should I win this gamble, assert that I won the game by pure skill.
I also really like Worldfire, but that's a no-go in commander.
Carrionette in my Xiahou Dun deck.... late game nobody expects it. Ritual of the Machine does amazing things as well. Koskun Falls is also a personal favorite in Black for breaking the color pie some more...Black can do almost anything...hehe
Another card I love that I don't see played anywhere is Hidden Strings. It can give animated lands pseudo-vigilance and more cast triggers for Noyan's ability.
Another card I love that I don't see played anywhere is Hidden Strings. It can give animated lands pseudo-vigilance and more cast triggers for Noyan's ability.
That first interaction is brilliant. That second, I don't find enough decks for Hidden Strings, but, it's definitely not bad. It can give you a lot of free mana especially working past a Winter Orb/Static Orb of some kind.
Chancellor of the Spires is pet edh card #1. At worst its usually a tutor a la Rune-Scarred Demon when it comes down. Sometimes its a plowshares, wrath, or ramp. And the amount of times you go infinite off of someone elses' Rite of Replication is staggering (15% of the time, or more, this card wins the game on the spot).
Heck, you can pay additional costs like entwine. All a mono blue deck has to do is counter or mill TnN, and for 9 mana, get their own.
I prefer Chancellor over Diluvian Primordial supremely because it keeps the card in the graveyard for repeated abuse.
Blaze of Glory - Classic concept art but the ability isn't game breaking. Most people consider it kinda meh, actually. But one of my favority ole-timey combat trick cards and is lethal with an "I shalt makest thou pay, fiends!" angel to follow up the defensive save. Or, so goes the theory...
Kher Keep - "FEAR THE KOBOLDS!!!" - said no one ever (unless the cheatstone is somewhere near.) Really, this harkens back to the days when I ran a Kobold tribal. Had to have it for my token deck so I can use Kobolds of Kher Keep as tokens. Yep, you read that right. KOBOLD. TRIBAL. Wow, was that ever a hot mess, too, all three of its attempted versions.
Tuktuk the Explorer - I love the whimsy of this card, and the token when he dies is not bad. But mostly just because he has his own legendary token for my token deck.
Ovinize - When I made my gorgon mafia deck, I wanted to embrace Simic answers to a lot of common problems, and plus it's a sheep. "What Blightsteel Colossus? Me only see sheep...mmmmm, mutton. WE EAT!!!" - Borborygmos when "touring" the Simic guild.
I actually want to try out Gonti's Aether Heart in my Breya deck to go infinite with it. The idea I has was to first play Mirrorworks, play Panharmonicon and copy it twice with the Mirrorworks, get Master Transmuter in play, then play the Heart, which will give me 8 energy when it ETB thanks to the 3 Panharmonicons, but you can't let all of the Mirrorworks triggers go off yet, because you use the Transmuter to blink it back to your hand, and put something else or even nothing onto the battlefield, then copy the Aether Heart up to four times, exiling each new one before the other copy triggers resolve. There is also another way that utilizes Myr Battlesphere to get the needed energy.
I do understand how implausible this seems, but other than the Heart, these cards were already part of the deck and are fine with how it functions so it's no biggie if it never happens, but it very well could and would be unforgettable.
Not really sure if it is goofy but definitely obscure, Fertilid. It is actually useful and became a psuedo-staple in my meta. (As in, if a deck can run it, it will be run, but they will not cut a card for it.)

Bebop: "My man!"
My playgroup isn't THAT huge, so I only ever got this to go off once in the way you describe. My opponent had a Stifle/Trickbind effect in hand, but he was laughing as he let it go off about 40 times before conceding, saying it was the most awesome play he'd ever seen.
Now you've got me debating on whether I should swap out Diluvian in my Niv 1.0 deck or not...

Part of me will always love suiting up my creatures, so Gift of immortality manages to find a home in my decks often. Sure, the trigger is easy to disrupt, and sure, there are better auras to run. But it's oh so satisfying to manage to bring your creature back after are boardwipe and to keep on trucking while everyone else has to rebuild.
Also, Scorned VillagerMoonscarred Werewolf. Mana dorks for 2? Not usually great. Possible upside of a double-dork who is also a werewolf and flips the Little Red Riding Hood narrative? How many foils can I put in my green decks and how quickly can I do so?

Vorthos-player with way too much time on his hands and a love of thematic decks.
EDH - Yes, Each One is Named After a Song. I love tying music to my decks.

I just love putting Gift of Immortality on something like Burnished Hart. Although it can be disrupted easily enough, especially by the right sorts of grave hate, much of the time this puts opponents in the position of having to decide whether to waste a valuable resource to exile a not-very-threatening creature or getting rid of the Gift... and if they don't, then it's just pure value-town. Either way, it can be something of a win, in my book.
