My EDH collection is like the Sith: "Two there should be; no more, no less. One to embody power, the other to crave it."
My finances are meager and appear in odd increments due to my current lifestyle. Thus, one deck of mine always represents my greater investment as it usually exists longer, whilst another slowly builds in its shadow. What I'm looking for is a deck with almost no strategic or card overlap with my Rx stax deck led by Daretti, Scrap Savant. Something to build from scratch in secret while I ostensibly tune GobWalker, Maker of Ashtrays.
Requirements:
Nothing vastly expensive. I once bought a 4th edition mana vault for $11 as a gift to myself and I still lie awake some nights, restlessly questioning the decision.
No color or (very minimal) critical card overlap: Little things like Sol Ring and Skullclamp are fine, but I can't shell out for another dynamo or Guilded Lotus.
Slightly lower power level: Daretti is at about 85% and I'm satisfied with him there for now. This should hit closer to 75% but with the potential to usurp the throne someday with some upgrades.
Thanks in advance for your assistance and creativity. I love you all, except when I don't. <3
Atarka 1.0 is relatively cheap. You can use green ramp to accelerate her out, and she kills in two attacks any player. Yes, it is red, but, you can use that as a support color and use green for the heavy lifting, with cards like Whispersilk Cloak to get her through. Add in some more cheap dragons and there you have it.
Krenko, Mob Boss is cheap(I used to own a $30 version)
I also, just for fun, once planned out an Apostle Deck which uses Shirei as commander. Shadowborn Apostle->Rune Scarred Demon->Behold the Beyond -> an infinite combo.

BRGMy Deck(Modern): Bolts'n'Burns WMy other, WIP casual deck: Zero to Hero
Protection from Will-O'-the-Wisps, Ali-from-Cairos, and Uncle-Istvans
Legendary snow landwalk

On the reserved list: Wizards won't remove it. Only we can. In other words: Play Modern, Pauper, or No-RL Eternal.
Ezuri, Claw of Progress can be built on the cheap. Just add a pile of cheap creatures with power 2 or less to the mix and you'll get pretty far. I think the most expensive card in my build is Prime Speaker Zegana.

I like Marath, Will of the Wild. He's a very strong utility card that gives you a ton of synergy. Here is a link to a budget version of my original deck that I made by replacing all cards of $5 or more.

Do you have a list somewhere?
Gimme a bit, I'll PM it to you.
I did realize there's also some lands in it that might be pricier and a Shardless Agent, but those can easily be replaced with budget cards.

Anything mono-colored comes to mind as being cheap. Mono-g Elfball or mono-r Goblins can be built way below 100$ and still be very sturdy.
I'm a little biased, as i recently built Zada, Hedron Grinder and i can fully recommend it. Few to no overlap with basically any other decks but Goblins because of the weird selection of cards, very explosive and entertaining turns and i'd be impressed if you come up with a list over 50$.
Meren of Clan Nel Toth can be very good on a budget and would share only a handful of cards with most Daretti decks. On the down side there are already like twenty Meren decks at literally every shop.
