I am looking at building a casual, or at least non infinite combo, creature based Kaalia of the Vast deck.
With the color combinations of red, black and white there are many synergies.
Red I could use for discard, draw effects to dig for angels and pitch reanimation targets. With black I can play reanimation spells for the angels I will be playing. With white I get the angels like Iona, Avacyn etc. Also more of a unique thing with white to Kaalia I will be using stuff like Ghostway and Eerie Interlude with other flicker effects to protect my creatures and have additional etb effects.
Red discard/draw effects (any others? I want to steer clear of wheels if possible.)
Faithless Looting
Tormenting Voice
Cathartic Reunion
Black Reanimation effects (will play 7-8 of these)
Reanimate
Animate Dead
Dance of the Dead
Necromancy
Angels & Demons (I will play 15 or so hitters)
Avacyn, Angel of Hope
Iona, Shield of Emeria
Gisela, Blade of Fortnight
Rune Scarred Demon
Demon of Dark Schemes
The issue with this deck I feel will be attacking with Kaalia. It may never happen in a good meta. This is why I think adding the reanimation will be a good secondary strategy. If I can't swing with Kaalia I can still pitch/reanimate angels.
Any additional thoughts/suggestions for this deck concept I may have missed? I will have a decklist setup a little later.
at least with my kaalia build, i run a significant amount of early-game ramp to get 1RWB as fast as i can (typically turn 3, sometimes turn 2), drop a haste-enabler/hexproof/shroud ability, smash in, drop a fattie, and then nuke all the lands by turn 4-5.
if i have any artifact mana, i'd use that to rummage through cards for more fatties and more land-nuking, keeping everyone at the early game, and beating down with a couple of 5/5s.
i dont actually have much of a reanimation suite at all, since that'd just clog up my hand and it doens't go along with my strategy.
if you wanna go with a reanimation strategy, why use kaalia of the vast? it doesn't help you get dudes in your yard, it doesn't help you get cards from your deck, and it doesn't move creatures from your yard into play.
To help with the attacking trigger of Kaalia I would run Reconnaissance that way if she would die in combat you can remove her from attacking and still get the trigger.

Karmic guide: an Angel that reanimates! Sneak Attack is a nice way to get your creatures into play and subsequently the graveyard.
On the one hand I think adding reanimation to your deck adds resilience. On the oher hand I think too much reanimation will clog your hand up and could make Kaalia herself obsolete. She might end up just being a far less efficient way to get your creatures into play...
I run a Kaalia deck that works a bit more like Swinefetts description and added just a few reanimation spells for late game if Kaalia has been destroyed too many times.
Collective Defiance has a nice "wheel" effect, though it's not straightforward and has to be set up properly. However, the general versatility of the card makes it seem like a good fit here. Pay 5 mana, do 4 damage to creature, 3 damage to player, with "wheel" effect added in. I like the card a lot in Standard, but seems like a powerful enough card to warrant inclusion in a singleton format.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Make sure to include a healthy number of mana rocks, especially those that cost 2. This gives you something to do with your mana early game and helps you get Kaalia into play a turn earlier which can be a big deal. I'd look at all three signets, the diamonds, Fellwar Stone, and Talisman of Indulgence.

Adriana, Captain of the Guard-Ravos, Soultender/Tymna the Weaver might be something you wanna look at instead if you wanna go reanimation in the same colour combination

I'm kind of fond of Light from Within and Crucible of Fire, there's...not really a demon one that I'm aware of.
Kaalia's not really a reanimator deck (with only Karmic Guide really coming to mind). In those colors, you're looking at Alesha, Who Smiles at Death or some sort of partner synergy, like Ravos, Soultender and either Vial Smasher the Fierce, Akiri, Line-Slinger, or Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder to add red. (There's also Tariel, Reckoner of Souls, but at 7 mana in a nongreen deck, only being able to grab from an opponent's yard, and "random", I'm not a fan.)
