So I think of the 4 color commanders, Breya, Etherium Shaper is the one that tickles my fancy the most. I really enjoy buttons, and she's got plenty of them. Bonus points for using artifacts as a secondary resource to manage. So the obvious strategy is to start adding things that create artifact tokens. Hangarback Walker, Pia and Kiran Nalaar, Angel of Invention, and any number of investigate cards. I think I'll probably add in an old favorite of mine, Tamiyo's Journal. Giving clues a third use with that out really bumps the value at that point. What other cards do you think will really benefit from her playstyle?
Edit: Marionette Master I would almost say is an auto include. It'll be able to pump out damage at an alarming rate if the pieces fall into place.
I had drawn up a Thopter tribal list in Esper a little while ago (helmed by Ertai, the Corrupted), but now I'm sorely tempted to change the list to Breya. Add in some Azorius blink shenanigans like Brago and Eldrazi Displacer for Breya's thopters, add some of the red Thopter support from Origins and Kaladesh, seems good.
It's a pity that 4 colors will be/are clunky. I really like the art of this card.
The abilities aren't too bad, but imho they're overcosted. (2 mana - 2 artifacts)
I would've prefered some form of cycling like Thirst for Knowledge instead of 3 damage to a player/lifegain.
Before we go for all four colors, I think we should consider the possibility of playing Breya as an Esper general to start. Esper colors traditionally has the highest amount of artifact support and artifact token generation. I'm not saying that Breya can only be played this way, but given Breya demands high number of artifacts, Esper is the most establish route for this direction, meanwhile using key red cards like Daretti, Scrap Savant and co as support.
@cyberium_neo: I don't know, red's had some, historically. More than black has, anyway. Black mostly gets artifact support in blocks like Mirrodin and Alara.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I guess Ashnod's Altar and Nim Deathmantle are obvious if you wanna go the combo route. Talking abour red, it brings Goblin Welder which is pretty good value for one mana.
Besides Goblin Welder, don't forget the fantastic Scrap Mastery.
Of course white also has Open the Vaults.
Question is... What will be the win con in the deck?
Oh boy, over at the Sharuum thread a new combo idea of Mesmeric Orb and Basalt Monolith to mill our own library then casting Sharuum to combo off is being discussed. I'd love to include that in Breya:red gives more filtering to find Mesmeric Orb and basalt monolith, then once the library has been milled, either Unburial Rites into Sharuum into the Torrential Gearhulk combo, or Recoup /Past in Flames /Yawgmoths Will into Scrap Mastery.
I'm really interested in a Breya list. I was planning to make a grixis artifact-combo deck with Mishra at the helm but I always felt that white had a lot of potential for tutors and several other cards. There are several infinite combos in UWBR so it's just a question of finding a good core for the deck (which I haven't tried). There's a useful thread here.

Ive been doing some research on Gatherer, and almost all of the abilities that produce artifact tokens or that return artifacts from the yard are one time deals (etb effects) or once per turn effects. Blink is a brilliant idea to build an engine. Deadeye Navigator, Conjurer's Closet, etc. would all do some work.
One thing I am concerned about is if we dont go the combo route, how exactly are we going to win? Ive played a Bant blink deck before, and while it did a lot of things, it was terrible at closing out games.

Individual colors, yes, and thematic wise Esper has established a synergy within that color combination that could serve as a base for the deck. Recycling of artifacts with red is certain another potential, but with only 99 cards and four colors, the card pool is huge for this general, some focus will be required.
Besides Goblin Welder, don't forget the fantastic Scrap Mastery.
Of course white also has Open the Vaults.

Could Hellkite Tyrant be an option? They all seem to like having a ton of artifacts.

I'm not sure. On the one hand, yes absolutely, but on the other hand it seems slightly counter productive to have a commander that thrives on getting rid of artifacts. I definitely think it merits testing if nothing else. I think there's something there.
I want to keep Marionette Master on the table at the very least. If we take the +1/+1 counter option on Fabricate, Breya's damage mode comes out to 11 damage a use. That is not a small amount, and that's with absolutely no pumping of Marionette Master. Even if one of the other modes us used it's still 8 damage which is pretty nice.

Token swarm. Throw in a few lord/anthems to make the thopters real threats. These have all been in at least one iteration of my Esper thopters list:

If you don't quite have enough for lethal, Breya's Lava Spike mode offers extra reach postcombat.
Thanks for the list! Thopter tribal didnt even come to mind. Another card for your list is Favorable Winds.
I would have to vote against Hellkite Tyrant. Its not so much that I think trying to acquire 20 artifacts is too much setup, but rather the very likely chance someone steals/clones/recurs it and takes your entire board. #feelsbadman
I mostly agree, except so far in my playtesting of my own deck list, making just one token isn't enough. So yes to Pia and Kiran Nalaar and Whirler Rogue, anything with Fabricate 2 or higher (plus another ability), no to Pia Nalaar and Thopter Engineer (although the later's static haste is useful).
I really like Breya, because she's an excuse to use all the artifacts matter cards that didn't work in Sharuum or Daretti.
This is a deck for Feldon of the Third Path, too, as while our normal artifact recursion won't help with P&K, we can make temporary mecha versions. Extra flavor tragedy if Pia Nalaar is on the board.
Besides Goblin Welder, don't forget the fantastic Scrap Mastery.

I feel like the strongest strategy with her is one that focuses on infinite coloured mana.
Midrange grindy advantage through thopter creation just seems rather slow (assuming the focus is a competitive deck)
Packing the deck with every kind of tutor (these are some of the best colours for tutor), finding an LED or an Auriok salvagers seems like the go to.
With this strategy in mind I thinks she's much more effective than sharuum, for sharuum to win through thopter assembly you need to at least wait a turn. Breya is a combo piece all on her own which is brilliant and should be taken advantage of.

ik there is like a billion ways of doing this but none are coming to mind atm
all i can thing about is Rings of Brighthearth
Pila pala and grand architect are another, but require haste and worldgorger dragon and animate dead are pretty solid too.
And as mentioned, lions eye diamond + auriok salvagers, which is probably the best one. (A starting hand with either of the two and tutor is a win in however many turns it takes you to reach 4 mana to cast auriok)
Doomsday would essentially be an auto win and as always ad nauseum is fantastic for finding pieces.
I can see Breya replacing doomsday zur, she's pretty much immune to removal and doesn't require haste to activate, she isn't a plan b or c, she's just part of plan A (hitting infinite mana and winning with her)

Reckless Fireweaver is stealthily good in this deck, as your opponents won't realize its more dangerous than Impact Tremors.
