Rebel tribal with Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero at the helm is quite a trip, just so long as you can tolerate people always asking what your cards do.
I thought the biggest problem was just all that shuffling.
As an aside, I really wish they'd print a green Distant Melody for elf decks and the like. Yeah, it would only be G less than Shamanic Revelation, but still...

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
When it comes to tribes most have their own niche that htey fill. Nothing is more aggro than goblins however nothing ramps like elves. What do you want your deck to do? I could suggest a dozen tribes I like but not everyone sees fun the way I do. When I know what you want in your deck ibcan be more helpful.
Pfffftt all these basic and obvious tribes. Tribal Mana Dorks! Use Chorus Of the Conclave as your general, Glimpse of Nature, Soul of the Harvest, Primordial Sage, Etched Oracle,Shamanic Revelation, and Zendikar resurgent for your card draw. Concordinate Crossroads, lightning greaves, and Swift foot boots take care of your haste needs. Cloudstone Curio allows you to combo out for infinite draw and mana with a haste granter and the card draw on cast cards. Then you either win with a stupid big treskelion, over run, or with a huge Llanowar Elf xD.

That... sounds stupid and crazy enough that I could maybe consider making it. I was eyeing Chorus of the Conclave earlier and pondering what to do with it.
Tribes that I currently run and some reasonings:
Brago, King Eternal spirit (token) tribal. A 'spam tiny tokens' deck combined with some degrees of bounce, blink and control elements to keep some of the tempo in my favor. Haven't had a chance to play too much yet, but as someone up there noted with birds, applies to spirits too: you're likely to be the only one with mass fliers.
Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas, giant tribal. As 'beat-face' as Boros can, but give Kalemne trample and cast a couple of cheerleaders (that just happen to be big and bulky and stompy) and she's deadly quite quickly. Also because I get to play Giant's Ire. Cow to face is never not amusing. Bonus points if you finish someone off with it.
Jori En, Ruin Diver merfolk tribal. Merfolk go quite well with a degree of draw-go, your curve is naturally pretty low (so you get to that second spell of turn faster - and still have Negate mana up for that inevitable wrath), and as a tribe they really can use some red to pack more punch (Haze of Rage is especially glorious). Obligatory Possibility Storm mention with Jori, of course.
Marath, Will of the Wild elemental tribal. Elementals and anthems - those elementals that have more power than sense (which, to be fair, is a most of them), that get into the red zone and then die after dealing some trample-y goodness. And then everywhich card that benefits from you getting big creatures, having big creatures, losing big creatures and just generally wrecking mayhem. Force of Savagery is probably the thematic card here, as is Titanic Ultimatum.
Godsire (read as 'Good Sir') beast tribal... consisting mostly of Godsire's progeny. Heh. But all the beast support cards are actually good here, and beast tribal has long been one of my favourite tribes. 'Course, liking green and wrecking face with big meaty beasts (and ramping first four turns or so) is what you have to like, heh. (*Yup, very aware Godsire is not legendary, but is very commander-y and thus ok in our playgroup.)
Ryusei, the Falling Star dragon tribal. Because dragons. And red. Quite possibly my simplest deck, as the game plan as a whole is pretty much 'apply dragon to face, repeat as necessary'. But sometimes that is fun.
...and finally, General Tazri ally tribal. Allies and Cackling Counterpart effects and populate. One of the tribes that just builds itself, but the snowball effect is very fun to play at times.

It is crazy and glorious xD. I also run a Mirari's Wake and mana reflection just to drive home the excess mana. Have a 128/128 Llanowar Elf is funny. And having 50 counters on Etched Oracle is some serious card draw.

This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
Wizards are very strong, but you end up playing a very control heavy deck that might not suit some people.
Elves are great and can be played in many different ways. You can play generic elf aggro and just swarm people, or you can do what I did and build a mono-green elf combo deck.
Finally Slivers.. Slivers are really fun, but my main issue with them is that they become rather cookie-cutter. Most sliver decks look almost the same as other sliver decks. They are a blast to play and are also really strong, but just be prepared to fork over the big doe for good lands.
