1st turn island, mana vault
2nd turn mountain, float for five mana and cast jhoira and suspend decree of annihilation
3rd turn, suspend desolation twin and proceed from there.
What is your god draw?
PS: Can anybody tell me what a pod is? As in EDH 4 player pod? How is the term pod different from the word 'group'?
PSS: What is a primer? I see many threads starting with the word primer.
Thanks.
As for dumb nutty draw stories, I once played a turn one Lotus Cobra followed by a turn 2 Sylvan Primordial (this was back when he was still legal), followed by an immediate Windfall to refill my hand. The kicker: I still lost that game
I once got a Sol Ring in my opening hand and proceeded to win the game. Crazy, right?
Ha, I kid. It more specifically went Sol Ring and Mana Vault into Thran Dynamo, then Opalescence and Parallax Wave on I think turn 5 or 6. Everyone at the table was pretty unhappy with me and we ended up just restarting the game.
Keeping in mind that this was with a very casual, completely unplayable deck competitively, against others with likewise kitchen table decks.
This was around the time when I first started playing Magic and it's become such a fond memory that to this day, I still keep that combo in any of my EDH decks that play White.

There was a 3 player game where I was playing Kozilek, the Great Distortion where (without Paris mulliganing) my opening hand was something like Mana Crypt, Mana Vault, Sol Ring, Basalt Monolith, Lotus PetalThran Dynamo, Lightning Greaves. Topdecked Ancient Tomb. I almost wanted to mull the opener because I felt like they'd think I cheated but it was good friends and they knew it was just a very rare, incredibly lucky, one time thing. I killed them both with Kozilek by turn 5, and I don't think I could've assembled a better opener if I'd picked each card.
Well, my current darettilist is able to make infinite wurmcoil tokens turn 1 with some rather specific cards in hand.
Mana Vault
Sol Ring
Mana Crypt
Krark Clan
Nim Deathmantle
Wurmcoil Engine
Artifact land
Play land, sol ring, vault, crypt, 6 mana in pool.
Krark clan, sac vault+ring+crypt. 8 mana in pool.
play deathmantle and wurmcoil, proceed to get infinite mana and make infinite tokens.
A more probable "goddraw" that I've actually achieved a few times is a starting hand with:
Metalworker
Mana Vault/Mana Crypt
Land
Staff of Domination
artifacts.
turn 1: land, vault/cypt, Metalworker, 5 cards in hand
turn 2: draw a card, tap metalworker. have 4+ artifacts in hand, play staff, go infinite.

I once had a while table scoop on turn 2 because I dropped Smokestack followed by Assemble the Legion. It, like so many of these other anecdotes, was fueled mostly by Sol RingMana Crypt and a Mishra's Workshop. I still refer to it as hearing "scoops in surround sound".
Ten points to the first person to post a god hand that doesn't involve any vintage caliber mana rocks.
How do you suppose you should go about getting a god hand in a format with vintage caliber manarocks without starting with vintage caliber manarocks? Vintage godhands usually contain vintage quality manarocks, makes sense other formats with similar manarocks contains those cards aswell.

Playing The Gitrog Monster and drop a turn 2 Mesmeric Orb. Get brought down to 5 life by my turn five, where I still haven't cast my commander yet because it would've been the wrong play. Play Uncharted Realms, picking out Dakmor Salvage; Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth; Lake of the Dead; and a random fetch land. Chosen player gives me Salvage and Lake, which is good except that I don't have a discard outlet to combo off. Draw a swamp for turn, play it, cast Gitrog, and drop Lake to sac a swamp and draw a card. Still nothing good. Float a black off of my swamp and sac it for another four, drawing Skirge Familiar. Cast it, get infinite mana, cast a lethal Exsanguinate and win.
I've done a turn 3 combat damage kill once using a r/g hideaway land, a Mana Crypt, and a Somberwald Sage along with an extra combat, Xenagos, God of Revels, and the beatdown tool of one's choice.
I've had a few turn 4 ones as well, but nothing as absurd as this line
Hey guys so I've actually moved on from commander on to 60 card decks so I don't have any commander decks.
Anyway I've started my own gameplay channel in which I play games (Magic also)
All I had on field was Inky with a bunch of lands and rocks. In hand I had Cackling Counterpart and Crib Swap alongside a Hidden Strings (which is a dead card in Inky) and a few lands in my hand.
It comes to my turn, I top deck Eternal Witness, and the game just falls into place.
I Crib Swap my opponent's Gaddock Teeg, Word of Seizing on my nephilim to Insurrection the board, and double tap the Cackling Counterpart so I get two copies of everybody's creatures (all their real legends get sacced too for extra rub ins). One of the critters I took was Pathbreaker Ibex so when I swung the game was just over.
I went from 0 chance to immediate victory because Ulamog forced me 30 cards deeper into my library, and a little top deck magic.
Running a few combo decks means I have a pile of turn-3+ non-scoop victories, so the most memorable games are the ones that I have such a gross start that the opponents pick up their cards after seeing a first few turns.
While testing out a more "casual" mono-red voltron deck running fumiko the lowblood, I had an opening hand that included mana crypt+ancient tomb+solemn simulacrum+sword of feast and famine. My turn-1 is playing out the Solemn, turn-2 I'm trying to persuade my opponent not to scoop, and that my start exhausted my hand and surely my mono-red deck would fall behind soon enough, but draw sword of fire and ice. I'm able to cast+equip the SoF&F and attack, untap my lands and cast the SoF&I with my opponent just giving me a death glare.
I'm maintaining a black+red storm deck that has a nice pile of early wins. In the second post I kept a log of notable games (losses and victories) as the deck evolved. One game that I'm pretty proud of (and was nothing but a huge luck-sack), was a 4-player game where I killed everyone on turn-3. I'll just copy+paste the game events from my log here;
Game 1 - only game. There are three opponents, but only one opponent was actually playing anything early-game.
There was chatter about how rubbish my storm deck performed in multi-player, so I decided to bring it out. I see an excessive amount of early mana and a memory jar in my opening hand, and start the game off with a land + sol ring + helm of awakening. One opponent does cast a turn-2 ezuri, claw of progress thanks to my helm, but on my turn-2 I toss out a random spell, ruby medallion, and grapeshot the ezuri off the field.
Turn-3 comes and I draw a vampiric tutor, so I tutor mana crypt to the top of my deck, play the memory jar, and crack it. The jar hand gives me an ad nauseam, which I main-phase cast. After building enough mana and finding guttersnipe, I'm able to build up enough storm to trash the table.
The final turn of the game was a gamble. I was dangerously close to sputtering out, and if I had not pulled the mox opal with the jar hand I couldn't have resolved the cabal ritual that gave me the mana for ad nauseam. The only reason I rushed out the ad nauseam that turn was due to two of the opponents plotting to blow up my helm of awakening + sol ring when they untapped.
This deck is not really tuned for multi-player since the average damage potential is somewhere around 60 when storming off. At times with specific enablers like guttersnipe/sphinx-bone wand it can crank out far more damage, but those are not always going to survive when there are more opponents with more spot-removal.
I think the most recent god-draw that has occurred was about two weeks ago. I'm still running rorix bladewing as a general and the deck has a gross amount of ritual-like ramp since it has a random dragonstorm included. I have so far cast Rorix on turn-2 a number of times, and early in the decks life-span I had lucked into crucible of fire and temur battle rage/assault strobe on the following turn for a lethal attack.
One of the biggest conundrums in that deck is a 6-drop that competes with Rorix Bladewing, since the idea is to always ramp into Rorix and swing. There is rarely anything worth casting over Rorix given the chance, but Scourge of the Throne is absolutely one of the exceptions. So we get another absurd turn-1 start involving mountain/mana vault/fire diamond/mana crypt with me planning on pushing Rorix out on turn-2, but lil'ol'Scourge decides to show up as my turn-2 draw. With my mana vault tapped down I don't think I'll be able to get Rorix out on turn-3 for the 24-point swing, but my turn-3 draw reveals a seething song, so out he comes! While I thought that was a cute attack, fully expecting my board to get annihilated, no-one actually has spot removal, and my turn-4 draw shows a furnace of rath.
Hand:
2 fetch lands, yavimaya hollow, sol ring, mox diamond, scoll rack, entomb
Turn 1: Fetch Land, sol ring, mox diamond, entomb for life from the loam, scroll rack
Turn 2: Dredge loam, Fetch, Gitrog Monster
Turn 3: Cast loam for 3 lands, I sac'd to Gitrog, play both fetches, crack both fetches, dredge loam, cast loam, activate scroll rack for 4 putting Sylvan Scrying and Wild Mongrel in hand
Turn 4: Cast sylvan scrying for dakmor salvage, cast wild mongrel, kill everybody
Second hand:
5 lands, manabond, life from the loam
Turn 1: draw a land (this deck!), manabond, play 6 lands, discard hand.
Turn 2: Dredge life from the loam, play gitrog
Turn 3: Draw a bunch of cards, loam some fetchlands, draw some more cards
I forget how I got there but that hand was the best ever.
Similar to what one of my buddies did. Same idea but he had lotus petal, swamp, and dark ritual in buried alive to get the cards in grave. And since he was BRW he use zealous conscripts instead of pestermite.

A Board Wipe (in this case a Blasphemous Act)

I cast them in that order and no one else felt they could catch back up so I won the game.
I've had a few turn 4 ones as well, but nothing as absurd as this line
Turn 1: Taiga, Mana Crypt, Somberwald Sage
Turn 2: Spinerock Knoll hiding Seize the Day, Xenagos, God of Revels
Turn 3: Mountain, Pathbreaker Ibex, attack player for 12. Cast Seize the Day off hideaway land. Attack again for 48.

All I had on field was Inky with a bunch of lands and rocks. In hand I had Cackling Counterpart and Crib Swap alongside a Hidden Strings (which is a dead card in Inky) and a few lands in my hand.
I get nailed by Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and exile 20. The kicker is he's got Sword of Body and Mind equipped so I mill an extra 10 when he actually connects. In that 10 cards is Word of Seizing.
I'm able to cast+equip the SoF&F and attack, untap my lands and cast the SoF&I with my opponent just giving me a death glare.
Another fun scoop was when I piloted Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur as a general a few years ago. While I don't recall the exact sequence of how sol ring/mana vault/gilded lotus/grim monolith/copy artifact/etc occurred, Jinny came out on turn-3, with me just wanting to re-fill my very empty hand. His effect draws me a few more bits of ramp, venser's journal & a blue sun's zenith, so I think I'm good to go, but on my following turn I pull words of wind as my draw. I resolved the venser's journal and words of wind, and at EOT bouncing every permanent my opponents had while I kept the journal + a few rocks. Good times.
I'm maintaining a black+red storm deck that has a nice pile of early wins. In the second post I kept a log of notable games (losses and victories) as the deck evolved. damage from mana vault/mana crypt is just so convenient when running scourge of the throne out early in multi-player games
edit; per the above non-mana-rock request, I do have a sedris, the traitor king deck that does see some legacy-speed reanimation. While it is tuned to try and reanimate something meaningful around turn-3 or turn-4, since the deck runs hapless researcher/faithless looting/entomb/careful study + reanimate/animate dead/dance of the dead/exhume, it has seen many turn-2 void winnower/ulamog, the ceaseless hunger/thraximundar/jin-gitaxias, core augur/it that betrayss. When that happens it is almost always answer-or-scoop for the opponents.
