I just wonder what your thoughts are on this card, now that it's been awhile since it was spoiled. I really like this card, but only in the delirium state, and how easy would that be in EDH?
The card is solid for me in decks that can reliably hit delirium by turn 7 or so. It isn't better than most green tutors, but when you can make it work, it is quite good.
I was really excited for it when it got spoiled but somehow I ended up never getting a copy or playing with or seeing anyone else play with it. It seems decent though....

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I have loved it in omnath locus of rage a deck that never minds having lands. it can function as a land early in the game and late in the game it feels like a 1 mana demonic tutor as it gets cradle and game ending creatures like regal force craterhoof puraphos avenger etc. Solid card in the right deck not sure how many decks it makes the cut in but it's been excellent in omnath for me.
Very few decks would want to jump through some random hoops to enable delirium for a creature tutor, when sylvan tutor and worldly tutor are nice top-deck options that don't require a set-up.
I do like it although. There are a few cheap variants like lay of the land that are playable in 3+ color decks that want a hyper-low curve and early plays. Ignoring delirium, this fits in a deck that is running cheap fillers like tithe and evolution charm. I see it as a pseudo-cantrip.
I use it in my Borborygmos Enraged deck. It finds me some ammo for my commander and mid or late game tutors me a creature with delirium and hopefully gets me my Panglacial Wurm to cast from the deck at the same time. A 1 mana card that can get me all that is top notch in my book.
It's a Lay of the Land that will usually only tutor up creatures on turn 6+, depending on how you build your deck, and whether or not you get hit by graveyard removal. That's the one drawback compared to worldly tutor and such, since those can be played early in the game to go get something like oracle of mul daya (or maybe hermit druid if you're cutthroat). However traverse isn't card disadvantage since the tutored card goes into your hand and not the top of your library.
Erm, sylvan scrying is playable in many EDH decks as well guys.
My guess is you need some amount of graveyard enabling to make this work, but it's ridiculously strong. I have no idea how I forgot to put one in Gitrog Monster.
I would think this card would be average in a mono Green build. Its only 1 mana.
In G/B or G/B/x its an absoulte house for 1 cmc. In these builds, its far superior to Wordly Tutor as being able to fetch Coffurborg or some nasty critter.
Delirium is relatively easy to get with these colours.
i think quite often, it'd struggle in my meta.. people run a LOT of GY hate; targeted, incidental and mass.. but if you guys don't play with people who've been scarred by entomb, i don't see it being all that bad.. in fact, i dont think its non-delirium-effect being all so bad either, really.. i'd just usually wanna have something else in that slot instead.
I ran it for awhile in Karador, Ghost Chieftain, but my meta has enough GY hate that it was too often just a Lay of the Land, which was less than stellar. Good card in less anti-gy metas though.
It's been good in Marath. It can save a shaky opening hand early and delirium will eventually come on line for me because my card types are all over the place, at which point it's a better GSZ. If I draw it during the middle period where I've got lands but not delirium it's not immediately useful, so decks that don't automatically have a place to put their mana might suffer.
Delirium is a lot like Tarmogoyf. You know how goyf is so awesome in Modern because he so easily gets up to 5/6 or 6/7 without even doing any milling or discard? It's like that, except we get to play with things like Strip Mine and Bazaar of Baghdad.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

I'm really not sold on delirium's impact in EDH past Descend upon the Sinful and Ishkanah, Grafwidow. To me, Traverse the Ulvenwald is just a better lay of the land with a possible nice late-game alternative bonus.
