I have way too much johnny in me and I am always looking to break cards in a fun interactive way but there are cards I never can find a way to make work. For me those cards are:
I can never find a way to make them work as much as I want and they have plagued me a bit. So I figured why not start a discussion for ways to enable this cards that are so unique but harder to make work to their max potential.
equipoise might work well in a land-light storm-esque combo deck. i'm imagining things like draw 7s, draw 4s, recycleeffects, rituals, land grant and so on, to keep your board free of stuff, and your hand full of stuff and hopefully kill the table that way? also, it doesn't seem to hit enchantments or PWs, so maybe if you make your deck enchantments and PW heavy?
not sure how savvy your group is, but if you can find an arabian nights aladdin's lamp, march of the machines can make it a 55/55? its outright cheating though i suppose, but yea.. always an option!
you should be able to combo Serendib Djinn with humility - i.e. the djinn is a 1/1 creature with no abilities, and continue the beats!

Used to really like these, and still have my copies. Sands of Time sort of lost it's power after mana burn stopped being a thing. It was better when control decks couldn't just tap all their lands and make sure they were all untapped. Now, It really doesn't do all that much. Though, I supposed it makes Mesmeric Orb a bit more powerful.
Equipoise is ok, I guess. It just really doesn't do much. All the phased out things are just going to return on their turn. I suppose It would be good for making people open for attack or making sure that someone can't counter your stuff, but otherwise pretty lackluster.
However, If you played these both together, then Sands of Time would prevent the phased out cards from phasing in.
Equipoise lets you choose the lands that phase out, so if you have a Winter Orb effect you can phase out the untapped ones. Maybe keep Zuran Orb about to let you better control how many lands you have in play?
Nether Spirit - So much potential but a self-recurring 2/2 has proven to be underwhelming in this format.
Aladdin's Lamp - This has such a powerful effect but the high CMC makes it somewhat useless. I don't really want to run it with March of the Machines effects either as that seems rather boring.
At one time, there was a guy in my last group that played Braids, Cabal Minion and used Nether spirit pretty well. I imagine that any creatureless or near creatureless build could do good things with it. Contamination, Skullclamp, or even just Ashnod's Altar could make him pretty useful.
My card that I want to break is Jeskai Ascendancy, more specifically the creature untap ability. There's just no good general for those colors that cares about being untapped.
Every few months I get this silly brainfart loop in my head to try and make meteorite a win-condition. The closest I've been able to come was some sort of master transmuter interaction, but I always stumble on finding infinite ways of untapping her. Transmuter has many combos that can help untap her like the old freed from the real+gilded lotus+transmuter mana combo, or something like intruder alarm with robots. Mirran Spy is dangerously close to enabling this, but the dumb rock isn't cast.
With all the comet storm style of burn cards I just really love the idea of killing an entire table with an infinite pile of meteorites. Seems sexy, but not possible...yet.

Mirrorworks + Myr Retriever + Krark-clan Ironworks + any cost reduction for retriever = Infinite recursion, casting, and copies of every colorless artifact you have access to. Retriever can be replaced with Junk Diver but you'd need a 2 mana cost reduction instead of 1.
I have a list of cards I'd like to play, but many of them are kind of pre-broken, or follow paths of other broken cards (For example, I'd like Neverending Torment, but I'm pretty sure that involves playing Ad Nauseum and Spellbook, but Ad Nauseum pretty much has an obligatory eyeroll somewhere - "Gosh, you broke something with Ad Nauseum? You don't say!").
Those two are pretty bad posers for me; Carnival of Souls seems breakable, but everything I end up wanting to do with it is convoluted and awful. Paradigm Shift seems like it should be breakable, and it calls to me but... it just doesn't present anything obvious. And maybe that's why I'm interested in it.
Note that Sands of Time goes infinite with Strionic Resonator if you have lands and/or artifacts that tap for at least two mana (three if you want infinite mana). I didn't realize this until recently. I've wanted to make a deck with Sands of Time for a while now. At first I thought about making a Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir deck that included lots of phasing.
My card that I want to break is Jeskai Ascendancy, more specifically the creature untap ability. There's just no good general for those colors that cares about being untapped.
Equipoise lets you choose the lands that phase out, so if you have a Winter Orb effect you can phase out the untapped ones.
But their lands come back before the untap during their untap step. All equipoise accomplishes with lands is cutting off their manabase during your turn. (And in multiplayer, also all of the turns between you and them.) It doesn't have any interaction with Winter Orb.
You could pair Equipoise with Stasis to get rid of their untapped lands. They won't phase back in until Stasis goes away. With that, you could stop someone building up an answer to Stasis by using their land drops to get untapped mana.

paradigm shift is one of those cards that a guy here put in with lab man.. but obvious, it was just a matter of time when someone just saves a murder for the lab man in response to the draw step..
Lifeline. It's pretty insane what that card can do, and it was great in my arcum deck for a while but eventually it just didn't make the cut.
lifeline is a good one that is kinda easy to break actually. not the infinite type, but the slow realisation that you can sac almost everything you have once a turn for value and getting them all back for no real cost. i got bored of that sort of interaction after a while.
something about this card just feels absurd, like it would be really easy to break, and really fun to break, but i've yet to manage to.
ive yet to break it in real EDH, but as part of the horde deck, it can be absolutely brutal. i suppose it has synergies sort of with Chisei, Heart of Oceans, but thats a pretty rubbish combo there.
I had my eye on Carnival of Souls for a very, very long time. When they printed Thopter Foundry, I realized that Carnival of Souls finally accomplished something concrete (making Thopter+Sword go infinite). I was finally able to get rid of that splinter in my mind.
But you had to come along and mention Carnival of Souls again. Now I'm going to have to try to pair it with some crap like Heartless Summoning and Golgari Thug. Maybe Grim Haruspex. Thanks a lot
Along the lines of Carnival of Souls, I've always wanted to do something with Tangleroot. The best I've come up with is elves, which doesn't seem very exciting. Cast trigger + universal effect makes it a little too fair. Lifeline is another one I can never seem to find the right use for. Enduring Renewal has combos with 0 CMC creatures, but I would like another use for it.

Blood Artist does some work. Eldrazi Monument is a lot of fun there too, because the tokens aren't sacrificed. You end up with a sizable army after a turn cycle. I stick it in BWx sac/recur decks all the time, because they can usually use the endless supply of token fodder and appreciate all of the death triggers.
Patron of the Moon -- If I am packing that much draw power, how do I make it so that it isn't just a worse version of another blue deck?
Janky infinite combo machine coupled with land denial (which is where you can break off from other mono-U decks a little more). You can break the symmetry on cards like Overburden and Mana Breach late and just play defensively with the same tools early. Sunder gives you instant scoops around the table most of the time and Patron is part of a few different infinite combos. I've played Patron many times and it's always a blast. Super satisfying to go for the Adventuring Gear-fueled general damage kill when you want something even jankier too. Skip most of the moonfolk because they're terrible.

[Pr]Jaya | Estrid | A rotating cast of decks built out of my box.
Since the recent rules changed allows Commander decks to produce mana outside of their general's colors, Celestial Dawn seems a lot less useful (as far as donating goes).
I'd like to see the card get broken while being able to just keep it on your side.
I've been contemplating a deck with Maze's End and all 10 gates but it would require a 5 color commander and another decent theme. There are none that interest me so far.

If the rock gets animated by Sydri, Galvanic Genius then it is vulnerable to clones / rite of replication effects, but that isn't an instant win, and animating a meteorite seems like a flavor fail.

I've wanted to make a deck for this goofball for a long time, but they're all just bad.
I did shenanigans with Pharika, God of Affliction, Illness in the Ranks and Blood Artist but it requires too many cards for something that's cute and inefficient. Still looking to break it.
