I wanted to start using my over sized commander cards for my league but I'm worried that they may act like lightning rods. In other words, I would paint a big target on myself for an otherwise innocuous commander just because the card is bigger.
Has anybody used over sized cards for their commander and noticed that they received extra agro from other players because of it? This would be great to know before I order any large sleeves for them.
I could see people being a little annoyed at the extra table space being taken up, but I doubt it would make much of an impact. Why are you worried that they would draw aggro?

My concern is that they are easier to read from across the table in 4+ player games and they are foiled so they tend to draw the eye. I'm curious to see if anybody has experienced player bias based on using these.

Well which general were you planning on using? It is true that the oversized cards will draw attention to themselves, but your opponents should be paying attention to what generals are in the Command Zone no matter what. I think that if you were using an oversized Kaalia that might be more detrimental than, say Ruhan.
I was going to try Gahiji, Honored One first to see if a low-threat commander would draw unwanted attention with an over sized card. My goal is to eventually use these for my Sharuum and Derevi decks.

It'll be fine for Gahiji, but you absolutely would be drawing extra hate for Sharuum or Derevi. They're already petty famous for being monstrous commanders, making the card literally monstrous in size is a definite detriment.
An over-sized glissa, the traitor may actually act as a better combat trick, since you are exaggerating the giant death wall.
If your deck is tuned to spam-cast jeleva, nephalia's scourge over and over, then the giant one absolutely does attract more attention from opponents, and fiddling with her exiled cards around the giant Jeleva is just about as annoying as the Jeleva player hand-reaching for the opponents decks to pull cards from them with her own trigger.
I ran the over-sized Godo, Bandit Warlord for a while, and did actually see a difference from opponents recognizing his double-combat potential over me running the normal sized Godo.

That's not really going to be an issue. Most players are going to recognize your commander by art or name and know exactly what it does without needing to read it. The ones who don't immediately recognize it will quickly learn it after playing with you just a few times, assuming you're not only using the commander for its colors.
I use them to just represent the command zone and a place to put the dice for the commander tax, and it hasn't mattered what over sized card I have out there everyone knows the commanders.
