In my opinion, Kamigawa is one of the better sets to offer a wide range of unique and fun generals, with the trade off that they are all mono color. Just so happens I love playing mono color decks so the set is right up my alley.
What are some of your favorite commanders from the set?
Which ones would you love to build a deck with?
What are some of the stronger generals from the block? (Lets try to leave out Azami, Kiki-Jiki and Azusa)

Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker
Horobi, Death's Wail
Sakashima the Impostor

Godo, Bandit Warlord
Eight-and-a-Half-Tails

I personally have a He who Hungers and had a Sachi, Daughter of Seshiro both of which are ridiculous in that 75-80% commander style.

Otherwsie my brother has a Kataki, War's Wage deck and a Isao, Enlightened Bushi deck both of which were quite efficient.

Kamigawa has my favourite Legend in Marrow-Gnawer

Oh man. Spiritcraft is actually pretty powerful if you have the support. Bounteous Kirin, Celestial Kirin, Kodama of the Center Tree and Yosei, the Morning Star are all-stars in my Spiritcraft Deck.

Fumiko the Lowblood and Godo, Bandit Warlord pull their weight, and Heartless Hidetsugu is just broken with infect.

Meloku the Clouded Mirror provides as many landfall triggers as you want, so long as you've got the mana (as well as some other cards [Walking Atlas, Retreat to Coralhelm])

I love Patron of the Moon and cards like Mana Breach/Amulet of Vigor/Flooded Shoreline/moonfolks. It is blue land ramp which works with its draw (even though attached to a 7cmc creature, but that can be cheated with Offering), and combined with other mentioned cards and Meloku and similar, you gain a lot of advantage while opponents bounce their own lands trying to keep up.

Other generals worth mentioning:
Adamaro, First to Desire is fast general damage for Red.
Ayumi, the Last Visitor is unblockable 7 power.
Chisei, Heart of Oceans plays well with blue's counter manipulation and the old Cumulative Upkeep cards.
Dosan the Falling Leaf slows control decks down with their responses.
Hisoka, Minamo Sensei has a built in counterspell ability to protect combos.
Homura, Human Ascendant gives your army flying, extra p/t, and firebreathing.
Horobi, Death's Wail gives amazing control against creatures.
Iname, Death Aspect is wonderful Spirit Tribal in black, dumping into your graveyard for a huge Twilight's Call or Living Death.
Isamaru, Hound of Konda used to be the go-to for white voltron beatdown, being fast to come down and start beating others.
Kagemaro, First to Suffer is a boardwipe in the command zone.
Kaho, Minamo Historian can tutor up parts of a wincon like High Tide or Turnabout.
Kiku, Night's Flower is cheap cmc-wise, and more creature control in the command zone.
Kira, Great Glass-Spinner protects all of your creatures.
Kuon, Ogre Ascendant is Abyss in the command zone.
Myojin of Seeing Winds is interesting, casting clones of it to draw through your deck and win with Lab Man or something else.
The other Patrons are all playable for different decks, from ramp to aggro or life loss.
Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant makes your lands tap for mana exponentially.

There's a few I didn't mention, like the Spirit Dragons who need to go to the graveyard for their triggers.

It is one of my favorite blocks for legendaries. I'd love another block like it.

Funny, I was just digging through my old EDH decks and started re-building my aged reki, the history of kamigawa deck. Ad you can expect, it has lots of legendary creatures and artifacts.

Sakashima the Imposter is a fun take on clones.

I currently run Sakashima clones deck, and Toshiro Umezawa control.

I've played Iname, Death Aspect (who is very strong), Horobi, Death's Wail (fun, not super-strong), Kaho, Minamo Historian (a generic mono-blue commander, kind of meh), Patron of the Moon (land-bounce and landfall shenanigans, was pretty weak), Seshiro the Anointed (snakes tribal, got power-creeped out around Return to Ravnica), and Seizan, Perverter of Truth (a Nekusar before Nekusar was printed). Azusa, Lost but Seeking was one of my first decks, and it was nuts even though I knew next to nothing about the format, and I'm sure I've played others.

I also played the cycle of Ascendants (like Homura, Human Ascendant) and some of them were super fun/powerful (Erayo, Soratami Ascendant was less fun, but really powerful; Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant was complicated, fun, but not super powerful). I've heard/seen of many of the others played (Sekki, Fumiko, Godo, Kokusho, Maga, 8.5 tails).

I think Kamigawa remains my go-to block for interesting (and not super-powerful) generals. Their abilities are just not as streamlined as newer cards, and take a little effort to make interesting.

I'm surprised that I haven't seen any love for Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni. Her first line of text is mostly pointless in the format as a commander, but she allows you to reanimate creatures from your opponents yards at no cost when she connects, and has the under-valued ability to regenerate.

I'll admit her awesome non-promo art is definitely a big reason why she is one of my favorite creatures from the set, but she definitely looks badass.

Sekki, Seasons' Guide is awesome with lots of shenanigans. Kaho, Minamo Historian tutors three cards right at the start, potebtually complete a wincon right there. All spirits and spiritcraft work well with Karador, Ghost Chieftain.

The legends of the whole block feels interesting, unique, and fun. At the time people were spoiled by Mirrodin powerhouses but none can deny the flavor of Kamigawa.

Kaho was a control/combo shell for me. I had this idea that I'd be able to play Reach Through Mists, Peer Through Depths, and Sift Through Sands to play The Unspeakable from my deck. I had cutesy splice things in there, like Psychic Puppetry that would let me untap Kaho so I could cast the next piece, or other arcane spells to splice stuff like Evermind and Reweave on.

It was awful (I keep wishing they'll return to Splice on Arcane, or even just Splice in general), but it was fun.

Reki is awesome. Nobody will take you seriously until you assembled the Kaldra set on a vorinclex. Although I had this when I could still play rofellos. Plus its the only deck where I had Autumn Willow on it.

I'm a big fan of Yosei, the Morning Star as a prison general. Setting up a reanimation engine like Emeria Shepherd, Nim Deathmantle, or Gift of Immortality can lock the entire table down very fast. Heartless Hidetsugu makes a good commander for a few different archetypes, he's a good control or combo wincon and is a fast clock for all-in aggro.

I also love jank and pray that someday Mannichi, the Fevered Dream will be playable. Spiritcraft is a cool mechanic, a friend recently built Kodama of the South Tree and it's surprisingly strong.

Mono-black also has a ton of great commanders from Kamigawa: Iname, Death Aspect, Marrow-Gnawer, Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker, Toshiro Umezawa, Horobi, Death's Wail, Maga, Traitor to Mortals, Kokusho, the Evening Star, and Kuon, Ogre Ascendant.

I hope to use Mannichi some day, too!

What commanders do you think are the most fun in the block?

I currently run Squee, goblin nabob in mono red for fun, Oloro stax, and I am building Mishra, Artificer Prodigy. I have been thinking about Fumiko the Lowblood as a new deck.

What is the most fun commanders you have played with from the set so far? preferable in R G or U colors as I don't enjoy playing mono black or mono white but I am still open to suggestions.

I have built azami, I know she is a powerhouse and all so I did not enjoy her all that much.

I've played against Sachi, who is definitely underrated. I've been interested in playing Umezawa, Kataki, and Kikki-Jikki, but haven't built any of them.

He's my signature card, if I could ever have one The other being Eternal Dragon.

I'm a fan of most.

I've piloted kiki-jiki, mirror breaker like many have, as well as zo-zu the punisher (very old video), adamaro, first to desire (very old video), kuon, ogre ascendant (semi old video), kumano, master yamabushi (semi old video), and Ayumi, the Last Visitor (last decklist).

Kuon, Ogre Ascendant is actually a very scary general in a deck full of fleshbag marauder/merciless executioner/slum reaper effects, and is a great diverting stall mechanic to help build mana for big x-spells or a combo finish for multiplayer tables. The fun thing is that most people don't want to waste removal on him after he has flipped, since he impacts the entire board.

I was also a very big fan of kumano, master yamabushi and very pleased with how my deck performed. I have a passion for a specific mono-red control(ish) deck piloted by latulla, keldon overseer, and honestly Kumano does make a (nearly) strictly better general for creature control. Creating infinite colorless mana for Latulla is a bit easier than creating infinite red for Kumano, but in my deck, I was tuning it to try and lower his activation cost / double damage instead of finding infinite damage. If I didn't have such a heart-ache for Latulla, Kumano would absolutely replace her in my deck.

While I've never built a deck around ink-eyes, servant of oni, homura, human ascendant, or Erayo, Soratami Ascendant (when she was legal), but like Kiki-Jiki, they have been included in the 99 in many decks.

Anyway, I like Kumano, Master Yamabushi because reasons that should be obvious to any of you who know me at this point.
