Voltron. I once assembled a Zurgo Helmsmasher Voltron with equipment and artifact/equipment support and ended up being bored of it very quickly. I picked equipment first because I just didn't like the inherent card disadvantage of auras. I know Uril and/or Zur get around it nicely, but I've seen them in action and think the whole Voltron aspect will still bore me quickly.
Nowadays it's just a fraction of my Alesha deck as a supporting theme (Sunforger's doing all the heavy lifting though).
I have a few. Alesha, Who Smiles at Death; I love the story, I love the card, I want to build her deck but I want it to be as good as possible so I haven't been able to build it due to budget constraints.
U/R or W/U/R artifacts. I can't decide on a commander. I looking at trying Arjun just to actually do it.
B/G Anything. I picked up a Bayou like 5 years ago and have yet to find a deck to put it in.
Goblins. I have all but a few of the relevant goblins and the ones I don't have are fairly cheap, but this deck wants cards that are in other decks and I dint want to buy extra copies.
The one where I've had cards set aside forever is Thelon of Havenwood. Seems like a fun deck, but it just wouldn't be any good. Way too fair.
Lately I've wanted to build Hokori, Dust Drinker. The idea would be to play cube-style white aggro, as in all the 2 power 1 drops, disruptive 2s, and powerful attacking 3s and 4s, then lock opponents out with Hokori / Winter Orb / Armageddon. A real, actual aggressive deck in EDH seems pretty rare, and can you really complain about MLD if you're being beaten down with 2/1s?

Ever since she was spoiled I have wanted to build an Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit deck that tkaes advantage of the +1/+1 counters for effects, like with Triskelion and Mindless Automaton. I also really want to build Zada, Hedron Grinder, but I'm trying to find an angle that will make him different that everyone else's version of the deck.
To be honest though, the deck I've been meaning to build for the longest time is Sivitri Scarzam, but there were never enough dragons in the colours. Now that we've had Khan's block, I really need to revisit the idea.
I really want to make Doomsday Grenzo, but there's just a bunch of really cheap, really obscure cards I want for it that I don't have and never get around to buying.

I've been working on a deck that tries to be more token aggro with global pump and less combo-ish "take a five minute turn and kill the table with 36 48/1 tokens".
I've been talking about building a Zurgo Helmsmasher deck for a year now. Seeing this thread made me go ahead and finish it tonight. Zurgo is the only creature and the deck features 21 board wipes of various types. We'll see how it all goes down tomorrow night.
I have always had a plan to build a deck for each mono-color and Ravnica guild combination. So far I think just need to do Mono-Green but green is my least favorite color so I have no inspiration. For Ravnica guilds, I have completed them all. I cheated on the U/R though because I bought a pre-con so it might be worth building my own from scratch. I even have a few 3-color decks even though I hate 3-color decks. I've got Sultai, Mardu, Jeskai, and Grixis. I think it'd be fun to maybe do a Temur deck.
I feel pretty unoriginal though because most of the decks I have are lead by that clans leader. So like, my W/B deck is lead by Teysa. My W/G deck is lead by Trostani. Sultai is Sidisi, Mardu is Zurgo, Jeskai is Narset, etc.

For me it's an Elf tribal deck, not any specific one because I can never decide where to take it. I know I don't want to be mono-green but I like Bloodbraid Elf, Shaman of the Pack, Wilt-Leaf Liege and Edric, Spymaster of Trest too much to ever decide which colors to go. I mean I can always go 5 color with a pointless commander but I don't really like that, so I'm hoping that one of the commanders in Commander 2016 is an elf themed commander so I can get most of the pieces.
The new conspiracy commander, Leovold, is a Sultai elf. You lose out on white and red elves, but the three strongest elf colors are now at your disposal.

Yeah, I'm very much looking forward to building a deck around him. I don't know how long lasting it will be, but from Conspiracy 2 until Commander 2016 at minimum he'll be my go to elf commander.
[[Titania, Protector of Argoth]]. I want to build her sooo bad, because she plays uniquely with an already defined strategy (tokens), but she's just so expensive. [[Crucible of Worlds]], the fetchlands, [[Life from the Loam]] (which I also need for Sidisi), [[Dustbowl]], [[Scapeshift]], [[Azusa, Lost but Seeking]], [[Sylvan Library]], [[Dryad Arbor]], [[Gaea's Cradle]], and a host of other expensive cards. Manipulating lands is my favorite thing about Green, and if I win the lottery, I'm building this deck immediately.
Another deck I'd kind of like to build is a mono-W super friends deck. That sounds really stupid I know but I like the idea of a "Super Friends" deck with a Super Friend for the Commander. I like the white ones because so many of them make tokens that its really more like a Mono-W tokens deck that runs Walkers for value. I will probably never build it because its so sub-par that it is really hard to justify the cost. If I were ever going to build a Super Friends deck that wasn't the Mono-W idea, I'd probably go Esper colors for Narset Transendant and Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas. Do a heavy artifact theme because they can both dig them up fairly easily. It could be fun with as many Living Weapon equipment cards as possible so that Narset can draw some creatures. But you can also run Ob Nixilis, Lili, Elspeth, Jace, Tamiyo, etc. I'm not a big fan of the green or red 'Walkers honestly.

Oh, I have done Superfriends in several colors, and by far my favorite, even over 5c, is Bant. Angus Mackenzie for the general means it's harder for anyone to get through on the walkers, and G means Doubling Season fun. It's a blast!
I've been thinking about this lately, and I don't think I've ever built a :symb::symr: deck. I've had Lyzolda, the Blood Witch since Ravnica block and Rakdos, Lord of Riots since it came out, but I've never built a :symb::symr: deck.
I also picked up a copy of Oloro, Ageless Ascetic about 3 weeks ago and I've been thinking about building it.
For me it's Ephara, God of the Polis. I love the card and the colors but I just don't know how to build her or how to win with her. If you have any idea, please message me.
I made a thread a while back, still using the same deck and the fundamental use of the commander is the same (play a creature each turn and she turns into an indestructible phyrexian arena), but the focus has since shifted more toward clone effects, difficult-to-kill beaters, and removal-on-legs. The mana curve can actually get quite high without any significant ramp simply because you can stall the game out while drawing a bunch of cards, so you're naturally playing a land every turn and never missing a drop.
Mine is Malfegor. I love Red/Black, and I love the all-in playstyle of this deck, but I've never quite pulled the trigger and put it all together.
Another would maybe be Yasova, because I like the idea of a Pokemon-themed gotta catch 'em all type deck, and she seems like a fun commander to run for that idea.
Back in the day, before I built my very first commander deck (Jor Kadeen) I had considered building Tibor and Lumia. I decided they kind of sucked for the kind of deck I wanted (spell slinger) because they could very easily kill themselves if I'm not careful so I scrapped that idea for a deck that would be easier to build. Becuase of this thread I've gone back and looked at Tibor and Lumia and I've decided to give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration guys!

I just made mine! I wanted to make an exalted/political intrigue deck in esper, but I just never got around to it. I slowly built up the card base, but never took the jump. Years later, I finally got the last six cards (and my commander). Long story short, I finished it this week and it turned out way better than I ever dreamed!
I havn't pulled the trigger on my Grixis artifact deck yet (sadly probably waiting until the new commander, if not Kaladesh... sigh) but I did finally put together the biggest, dumbest, simplest, greenest, reddist Xenagos, God of Revels deck I've ever dreamed of. I never just turn creatures sideways, so its strangely satisfying.
