So I built Sen Triplets control a while back. I filled the deck with pillowfort effects, tax effects, boardwipes, counter magic, spot removal, tutors, specific hate cards to tutor for, mana rocks for a mana advantage, card advantage engines and infinite combos to win the game with.
My playgroup hated it, and I don't blame them.
Thing is, I still like Sen Triplets and want to play them. I don't mind building a fair version but I'm having trouble visualizing what that is. Has anyone been able to do this or have any ideas?
I don't know what state your meta is in, but maybe no 'infinite' combos? Perhaps going along the lines of what Krichaiushii said and have the theft or "controlling their minds" theme be the main focus of the deck. People generally don't like their stuff stolen either, but it might still be better then oppressive value engines and combo wins.
I think Telepathy is a sweet on theme card that is super casual and a lot of fun for the one using it to also go along with what ImpulsiveKnowledge was bringing up
*Edit* - Another fun route that sticks to the "mind reading" thing is revealing the top cards of player's libraries. Cards like Field of Dreams and Lantern of Insight. Running cards like that may or may not show the other players that you're just trying to goof around and have fun. They might still kill you anyway though, because Sen Triplets still has a nasty reputation.
I built mine as "Esper". That is, I filled it full of artifacts. I cast the Triplets when I want to get some mana from another player, or when I know there is something I want to take. Otherwise, I let the artifact nature of the deck do my work.
The thing is, you're deck is either going to have to be flat out horrible or you're going to have to change your commander. Sen triplets herself is a card no one wants to see cause it messes with their hand. That and you have Esper colors which are strong. Not using some of those strong effects is a waste.
That being said before we fixed it, my gf made a sen triplets flicker deck. Was meh until late game and even then... Eh. Could go that route.
I'd say make a new deck and pull sen triplets out on occasion.
Try finding a theme. Build solely around that theme.
I have a Zur deck. It runs one creature. I've phased it every couple montha from being either completely aura based or completely auraless. Sure i don't win, but i earn every win i get.
Potential themes for the ladies of three: Robots: make the deck play artifact creatures or even esper as someone else said . Fast stuff: no slow spells, flash and instant spells only. Slow stuff: no instant or flash spells. Creatureless: while it is disadvantageous, your play group won't be so mean when you have just one creature.
Hope that helps!

It still needs some updates since the deck has like 5 cards changed out, but the basic gist is the same: Pillowfort/Kingmaker with Punisher cards to seal the deal. It runs 0 Counterspells (If you don't count Misdirection). It also has a "Reveal Hands" theme with the added in cards being Seer's Vision, Tidehollow Sculler, Isperia the Inscrutable and Thoughtcutter Agent
