I am working on a Shu Yun commander deck, and would like to use equipments. Some of them have a high equip cost. What are some ways to get around it? I have one sword that lets you equip for free if your creature is legendary. I am interested in more things like that, and not sure what to search for on gatherer. Any assistance would be appreciated, especially since I want to play things like argentum armor ya know. I want to be able to equip, cast an instant, then pay Shu Yun's double strike ability.
If people are sick of reading about stuff just stop taking part. You have 100% control over what you read. Simic Ascendancy isn't going to get banned just because you didn't tell someone to shut up on the internet.
Ronin Warclub, Sai of the Shinobi, and Stormrider Rig will all attach to a creature when it enters the battlefield. Grifter's Blade can be flashed in, will automatically attach to Shu Yun, and also trigger his ability so you can give him doublestrike.

Opal-eye, Konda's Yojimbo ~ Rayne, Academy Chancellor ~ Toshiro Umezawa ~ Jaya Ballard, Task Mage ~ Yeva, Nature's Herald
Teysa, Orzhov Scion ~ Tajic, Blade of the Legion ~ Selvala, Explorer Returned ~ Savra, Queen of the Golgari
Marchesa, the Black Rose ~ Sydri, Galvanic Genius ~ Alesha, Who Smiles at Death ~ Riku of Two Reflections ~ Sidisi, Brood Tyrant
Kazuul's Toll Collector can attach equipment to himself for free. The tribal equipment cycle (Cloak and Dagger, Diviner's Wand, Obsidian Battle-Axe, Thornbite Staff, Veteran's Armaments) attach themselves to a creature for free when a creature of the appropriate type (Rogue, Wizard, Warrior, Shaman, and Soldier, respectively) enters the battlefield. They're even capable of attaching to opponents' creatures, although that's not generally the best way to use them.
Ogre Geargrabber can attach opponents' equipment to himself for a turn. (Plus force them to pay to re-equip on their turn.)
What about using Nahiri, the Lithomancer make tokens to take forth your equipment of doom and give them doublestrike. She also puts it into play for free and even makes an amazing piece of equipment instead of an emblem.
In that same vein there's also Demonmail Hauberk and Murderer's Axe, both of which have a significant but workable drawback.

i'm actually kind of surprised it never became something in standard t2 hitting hero's blade t3 shu yun t4 hit for like 14
if your playing shu yun I also recommend view from above no one ever thinks of it
wow you all forgot the card from the same set as shu yun hero's blade
Didn't forget it, OP mentioned he had it Though not by name, I suppose. View from Above is an excellent suggestion, though Shu Yun himself doesn't satisfy the return condition, so that's something to look out for.

view from above's is satified by shu yun under commander color identity rules.
his identity is expanded to blue white and red.
"A card's colour identity is its colour plus the colour of any mana symbols in the card's rules text. A card's colour identity is established before the game begins, and cannot be changed by game effects."

But View from Above isn't asking for color identity, it's asking for color. Regardless of his Jeskai color identity, Shu Yun himself is only blue. You'll need a separate white permanent for View from Above to return to your hand.

Color identity is not the same thing as color. Color identity is only used in deck construction for Commander decks. Color is actually used during the game. Shu Yun is not white.
