Aside from stunning artwork and strong flavor ties between card name and what it does, I cannot help but feel it is just an expensive Glorious Anthem, at best.
Note that the common white token armies won't benefit at all.

I don't run a deck that could use this, but the fact it doesn't buff tokens is a massive problem tbh. Sure you could build your deck to benefit off it heavily, but it is not nearly pushed enough of an ability for that.
I like it, especially in a singleton format for better redundancy. I agree that it is not useful in token decks, but could benefit a themed deck, because I think a large number of knights are costed WW and 1WW, which would give them a hefty benefit. Probably an option after Crusade,Honor of the Pure,Glorious Anthem,Divine Sacrament, Spear of Heliod and Marshal's Anthem.
I have a mono white deck Heliod, God of the Sun as the general and a devotion sub theme. Light From Within is pretty strong in the deck and most of the time its a +2+2 which is pretty punchy. I also have Dawn Elemental in the deck and a few WWW guys as well. All that being said white is pretty spoiled for these types of cards and not pumping tokens is a pretty big string against the light.
There are few creatures that get more than +2/+2 from it, and considering that basic tokens get nothing, I see it as drastically inferior to Dictate of Heliod.
Marshal's Anthem at least has a highly relevant recursion aspect to it as well, and would probably be my first inclusion. Spear of Heliod could be second in mono-white.
I'm with bob on this one. In order for it to be better than Dictate, it would have to be something like triple white. Also the nobo on tokens makes it bad.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
It has some value in a super-controlling Kaalia, but only because so many angels have WWW in their mana costs, and quite a few angels (plus Yosei, the Morning Star and Wardscale Dragon) have WW in their mana costs. And even then, if you're running Emeria Angel, Requiem Angel, or a bunch of black, red, or artifact creatures, none of them benefit from LFW.
So it's a bit of a hidden gem, in a very specific deck archetype.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
My copy of Light from Within now has a home in a 60-card singleton deck, as part of my set of decks kept aside for Star games. It is now Knight tribal, with some Angels in the wings, as it were.
Cheers!

I could see this being fairly funny in Knight or Angel tribal, or a deck with a W/x God as commander, as a lot of the creatures will have double W or even triple W, but yeah as most people have said this just feels worse than every other Anthem effect especially since at 4-5 mana you also have Cathars' Crusade, Ajani Goldmane, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Dictate of Heliod, and Marshal's Anthem.
If you're looking for a real hidden gem of a white weenie anthem, consider Divine Sacrament

does anyone know if it helps boost guys like godhead of awe?
as in if both are in play, it gets either +5/+5, +2.5/+2.5 or nothing?
For chroma and devotion, (W/U), (W/B), (R/W), (G/W), (2/W), and (W/P) all count the same as W. (And the same is true for other colors. Note that for Ephara, God of the Polis, for instance, (W/U) only adds one to your devotion to white and blue, but it adds one to your devotion to white, and one to your devotion to blue.) In fact, it's possible to make a two- or even three-color devotion deck using a lot of hybrid cards. (And given that a lot of hybrid cards have three or more mana symbols, this might actually be preferable.)

What deck are you looking to build?

It could be that I am hoping that a cool-looking card could be solid, here. It may have to settle for a 60-card knight casual deck.

+5/+5. It has 5 white mana symbols in the cost. Consider the calculations the same as devotion.
