If your deck is very token- or sac-focused, this is alright. If you're worried about specific creatures (that don't have pro-black, hexproof, or indestructible), this is playable. If you're an aggro player using removal as blocker elimination, you'll probably run a dozen other things first.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
In token decks it basically a worse black StP. Its real place is in decks that want to sacrifice creatures. Its a worthwhile effect to sacrifice something to so long as there is additional payoff. I've seen it used in Meren and been impressed. Very niche.

Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
There are situations where I've played this card and not had something to sac and desperately needed to kill a creature. Bad deck construction, probably, but these situations do arise.. that, combined with sorcery speed makes it pretty eh. But hey, 1 mana removal can always be relevant, I suppose.
Unless you're looking for a critical mass of these effects I would just play Attrition. Sure it can't hit B creatures but being able to use it at instant speed is very important for this kind of card.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I recall during one game of commander that if I had lived one more turn I would have been able to cast this and turn the game around. I also oddly think the 8th edition looks better due to the white boarder and background for the text.
I used to think Thieves' Auction was not reasonably exploitable and thus not worth playing, but one day I saw a friend cast it with mana floating, ignore all the powerful artifacts floating around, and follow up with Shatterstorm to come out on top. Still not a card I particularly like, but it's been proven possible to get more advantage than just first pick.

Zedruu: "This deck is not only able to go crazy - it also needs to do so."
And this would be where Amulet of Vigor would shine. Pick that first, and you can swing hard...possibly.
Other than that, I would see this as another 'Possibility Storm/Chaos Warp' type card.
EDIT: I also only just now noticed that tokens don't get affected by this(oracle text). So token decks could really blow out the table if they float mana for multiple combat phases(World at War and the like).

It's less annoying from a chaos deck than Scrambleverse. Also costs 1 less.

Well, tokens would disappear upon being exiled, so yeah.
This could be cool to hit some ETB triggers. Or you could use it with blink cards. (That might've been the plan, since Flicker was in the set just before this one. Though with Masques, "the plan" is not always obvious or even really there.)

I wouldn't play a 0/10,000 for 5 except in Doran, and you can't even use this as gravehate on your opponents, so I'm not sure where this fits except in bad Doran lists.
It's another for wasted-card-name tribal though.
EDIT: If it said "a graveyard" rather than "your graveyard" it would actually be a really interesting and not overpowered card.

I was hoping it'd be something like the Microprose card Necropolis of Azar without the randomness. Like:
Paper Necropolis of Azar2BB
Enchantment
Whenever a creature dies, put a charge counter on CARDNAME.
5, remove a charge counter from CARDNAME: Put a 2/2 black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield.

I agree with the Phenax suggestion. Personally, my Phenax deck is more re-animator and focuses on self mill paired with recursion, but in all in mill this guy could be pretty solid. Target yourself with a couple of triggers, then exile 4-5 creatures for a 0/15 wall, plus whatever gets killed over the course of play or ends up in the yard from whatever mill effects you run that hit everyone. Even still, it would only make the cut for me based on cool points.

Exiling all of your opponents' creatures in the 'yard for free, as a cost? Sounds like it would be the best damn grave hate in the format.
I don't think it would? It still costs five mana and doesn't hit things like flashback spells (plus, I'm seeing a lot more land and artifact recursion these days). Yes, it would be one of the best artifact options available, but I feel like white, green, and black probably wouldn't run it.
Can be used as removal, can be used as a buff. I like this kind of card. Had this been an instant it would've been playable in various decks, methinks, mostly aggressive red decks who could stand to snipe away some utility dorks would enjoy this.

I think what they were trying for was a n00b-friendly mini-Blood Lust, which is arguably borderline playable, but requires a quick consultation of Oracle to explain how it works with -X/-X effects or */* creatures or similar things.

This is, however, a potentially huge wall, and a potential use for Draco, if you want that sort of thing. Most of the time, you won't. I'd probably play Kresh the Bloodbraided, Varolz, the Scar-Striped, Vulturous Zombie, Blade of the Bloodchief...
