A cheap card to become the Monarch (Which means drawpower in mono-white) and to oblivion ring a creature for one mana above the likes of Fiend Hunter, it has both down and upsides. On the upside, if you have a defensive shell going on it can be hard to take Monarch from your hands and thus leave yourself in a position of keeping the creature exiled. The downside; you can't target your own stuff with it, which disables a certain amount of shenanigans.
Not a bad card and I'm sure it's in some decks.

I was thinking that if you exiled a big threat that no one has answers to, people might not take monarch from you. But, yeah, a set of defensive cards will probably be much more reliable.
Palace Jailer seems really good actually. Thinking back, there's a lot of decks I've played against that would have a very slim chance of getting their creatures back without someone else to take the Monarchy for them. Far better than Fiend Hunter in some instances and far worse in a very few others. I need to pick up a few of these.

The other day I hit Animar (the player's commander) with Spell Queller, and he chose to let his general go to exile. The Marath player was my friend for the rest of the game (the only thing he ever did to me was kill my Rasputin in response to Vanish into Memory, because 2 mana draw 4 discard 1 get 7 colorless was too much value), and my Spell Queller did somewhere in the neighborhood of 16 combat damage before finally leaving the battlefield, and he didn't even attack every turn he was out.
I was expecting to just slow Animar down by a couple turns, but my 3-mana creature pretty much shut him down entirely.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Considerable for my Alesha deck, especially since it would appreciate the card advantage being Monarch provides. It's just not in for about a few reasons, including space constraint and I tend to end up playing Kingdom variants more so when it's not just one player with motivation to get the Monarchy from you at some point of the game, its value (for me) drops by quite a lot. The price tag on the foil version certainly isn't giving much incentive either.
Great card, just happens to be not for me. Fortunately I still have Protector of the Crown for my Monarchy Card-Advantage (and considering its Alesha, I think the defensive measures might be good enough to not outright encourage attackers in my direction at least).
I can't say I'm pleased to see you and must warn you I may have to do something about it.

I don't run this in my Queen Marchesa monarchy deck. I'm not sure why not. I should give the decklist another look and see about fitting it in.
Re: the BK crown... surely I can't be the only person who announces "I am the Monarch!" in my best imitation of the Venture Brothers villan whenever I become the monarch?
Getting a 4/4 upon it leaving the battlefield isn't bad and with evoke there's fun blinky shenanigans to be had, but ultimately it's overcosted for what it does.

I have never, ever felt tempted to play this card. It does way too little for its cost.
If I ever make a Roon deck, then maybe. But probably not even then. I mean, seriously... I could be blinking Phyrexian Ingester and exiling stuff, or I could be blinking this big flower child and making super-sized saprolings. I'm all for playing janky, fun stuff, but I'm still not feeling the win here.

Mulldrifter was a buffed Counsel of the Soratami, Shriekmaw was a buffed version of an unprinted sorcery Terror, so I think it would be fair to have a card that had improved on Recollect, since Recollect is also just short of playability in the same way. Your evoke cost just seems far too high.
I forget why I ran him, but I ran him at some point and got to sac him to Greater Good, which is nice. I feel like when I'm singing the praises of these bad cards it's often at the mercy of a much better card, though.

This is pretty much fun! But speaking from a Wort deck whose theme is tokens, ramp n pump... this token doesn't do it for me.
It's a cool card for nooby casual tho.
