This would actually be a pretty damn good combat trick if it worked on unblocked creatures and the Splice cost was just an alternate cost. So basically if it was a totally different card.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Isn't desperate ritual a combo with Izzet Guildmage and Lava Spike? I'm pretty sure when the mage copies the spike with a spliced ritual, it copies the spliced effect and generates enough mana to copy the original again letting you burn the table to death.
Anyway, swole spriggan. I feel like a color matters deck is close, but needs some more push. This guy only hits your own critters, so that's limiting (doesn't help you abuse hosers). There are a few cards like Knight if New Alara that benefit as you can use the spriggan to make dudes 5 color and thus +5+5. Also saves vs destroy target nonblack effects, and screws with protection. It's a card, like Blind Seer, that does so many things, but they are small things that don't necessarily work together and much of it is reactive.

The Meaning of Life: "M-hmm. Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations"
Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!

As for today's card, seems a bit too much mana (I'd prefer a smaller body for less cost) and the limitation of only affecting your cards rules out many of the most interesting potential interactions. And while there are some tricks you can do, they're the kind of thing you'd really want to build a deck around, and it's hard to see a good general for playing with colours (Blind Seer is a cool card, but could do with more colours himself, and of course you can't run this guy in there anyway)
He's swirling because that's what happens when you flush this card down the toilet. I'm all for groan inducing flavortext, but this one is on its own level of vile.

Would you say the patrol was MUD with disgust?
Why do people capitalize MUD like its an acronym? I always end up reading it as "Mono Blue Dredge" because of that. But they typically just mean brown, so call it Mud, right?

The old school card frames for artifacts that were brown. I have no idea why each of its letters is capitalized aside from a type of MMORPG called a MUD (Multi-User-Dungeon) and MUD decks have a tendency to be prison/stax decks.

And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)

My thoughts exactly. Invigorate's actually good with (infect, Kavu Predator), this isn't.
This made me wonder how many arcane instants I'd play in Commander. And now I want to trollolol a table with Aura Barbs and Enchanted Evening.
Barrel Down Sokenzan in landfall.
Blind with Anger mostly because it's an instant.
Charge Across the Araba again in landfall.
Death Denied
Desperate Ritual because I'm sure there's a way to break it.
Gaze of Adamaro as Sudden Impact #3 (#1 being Sword of War and Peace) in Nekusar?
Inner Calm, Outer Strength in some sort of Maro-themed deck.
Overblaze in budget Saskia?
Rending Vines in some sort of Maro-themed deck.
Shifting Borders
Strength of Cedars in some sort of landfall deck.
So, 11, maybe, in the right kind of deck. And I'm obviously not counting arcane sorceries like Kodama's Reach.

There's an interesting trick you can do in Zada, Hedron grinder by using Splice to give cards like Desperate Ritual or Path of Anger's Flame a target and thus copy them a lot of times with her. Unnatural Speed, Into the Fray, Blazing Shoal maybe even Strange Inversion can be useful there (and the Shoal isn't a bad Zada card even if you're not running a full arcane package - you can easily get an extra 2 or 3 power onto all your creatures for free).
As for today's card, seems a bit too much mana (I'd prefer a smaller body for less cost) and the limitation of only affecting your cards rules out many of the most interesting potential interactions.
