Kill in mouth dragon is now going to stick to this card for me.
On topic, it's a little expensive but I think you could get your money's worth running this in a dragon heavy deck. Outside of that I wouldnt bother, a 5/5 flyer for 7 especially with the current level of creature power just isnt strong enough to merit the spot.

EDH BRGKresh the BloodbraidedBRG, A box of lands and ideas.
Modern: RG Titanshift. A deck made of cards too stupid for EDH.
Retired: Lots. More than I feel you should suffer through or I should type out.
I don't think I would run it because there are some better options. but the art is kind of cool and amplify is a sweet ability so maybe in a dedicated dragons deck
Every time someone plays out Zirilan of the Claw, the first thing that pops into my head is this thing revealing 17 freaking dragons and killing me on the spot.
Would play in Draconic Kaalia, where I can circumvent his weaknesses and live the dream with multiple reveals. But in actuality, you don't need to reveal a lot. Just one dragon makes this an on-demand Bolt, which is ludicrous all things considered. getting two reveals is a stronger ping effect than R Kamahl.
You guys are thinking too big, you don't need a homerun to be good; sometimes all you need is a base hit.
I had this in Bladewing the Risen for a bit, it performed poorly most of the time. My version of the deck also loves to cheat things in from hand. Naturally I assumed having this in the deck would be great! It wasn't. Even when it had 9 counters on it, it left me wanting more. Sure blasting things for 9 is nothing to scoff at, but, that is all it does. There are just too many options for dragon decks that are better. That being said I do still like Kilnmouth from a nostalgic perspective. And it is undeniably fun to cheat Kilnmouth into play with Sneak Attack reveal two or three other giant beaters and then chat them into play with Sneak Attack and just crush things. He still gets a slot in my deck from time to time when I want to power it down a little further than it already is.
I can see it in some Dragon decks but the issue is the classic issue of many Onslaught era fatties - the tension of having a powerful tap ability on a huge body. You can attack or you can nuke something, but not both without a hoop, and it isn't immediate impact without a hoop either (granted giving all Dragons haste is child's play nowadays, bu tstill).
I don't think I would run it because there are some better options. but the art is kind of cool and amplify is a sweet ability so maybe in a dedicated dragons deck
Fair enough. A dragon tribal deck can run it, or a deck that really loves +1/+1 counters.
The big problem, and this was a problem in the knights/dragons duel decks, is just how expensive it is. 7 mana ain't cheap, and a fancy Tim that's probably just going to attack anyway is bad. (I suppose if I have Rings of Brighthearth or Illusionist's Bracers, but even monored has better things to do with those.)

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I've been killed by Kilnmouth this before. Of course, that's kindof the price you pay when you misplay and give Kaalia 7 extra cards when you should have remembered this thing was in their hand (returned after being exiled by an Angel of Serenity). It'll be a while until I stop kicking myself for that one.
Cute card, but needs a lot of work to be really good.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Great if you're running a lot of tokens. "Sorry I took your sphinx, here's a merfolk."
A definite reason to always have sac outlets available. And it should be an instant removal target.

This guy has a very strong tap ability. The nonlegendary clause is strange, and fairly bothersome in this format, but this guy is a solid man with haste (Lightning Greaves, Maelstrom Wanderer)
Apologies for all the painful flashbacks to all the Modern players here.

I like it. It can be used to great effect but also makes people burn removal on a 1/1 for 1 in ezuri decks
Hell, it can just be fun in a Sun Titan package. Actually, that applies to a lot of infect creatures. The infect creatures with a lot of tribal effects (such as the elves and zombies) can eat a lot of removal.

Obviously an auto-run in any infect deck, but this thread is making me gain new appreciation for it outside of dedicated infect lists. While it's attacking on a different axis, it is super lethal after just a few pumps in Tribal Elves, Tribal Warriors, Exalted decks, Aura decks...nasty little piece of work. I should probably run it more than I do. I had advocated for Lost Leonin in Tribal Cats led by Arabho, so it makes sense that this would be pretty good in Tribal Lists as well.

This is a good point considering all of my elf wins involve using Ezuri, Renegade Leader’s Overrun multiple times this lone Elf could take out 1 player all by itself.

I run it in my Ezuri, Claw of Progress deck, where it and Blighted Agent are the only infect creatures, as well as my The Mimeoplasm deck, which is a full on infect build. In the former it's mostly a late game finisher (thanks to the fact that my build includes a lot of ways to make creatures unblockable), in the latter it's mostly just a way to give the King Ooze infect. With Ezuri it also creates the odd dynamic where in games where I'm playing with strangers I don't want to drop it, even if I'm in a situation where I have no other one drops and they don't start dropping blockers during the first two or three turns. I've made that mistake once and proceeded to be hated out of the game like nobody's business because everybody assumed I was running an infect build.
Could be good in Atraxa just to start the proliferate train and threaten to win that way, but even in 100 card singleton it's hard to find slots for things as narrow as that when you have to fill your deck with a theme plus some lubrication to get that theme going.
Mulldrifter this isn't, but it's still respectable card draw for decks that like to go long and fill their yard, probably for reanimation. Often forgotten but definitely worth consideration for decks with that kind of gameplan.

Modern design has ridden us of this tension - if you want a nuking dragon you can use Tyrant's Familiar, Balefire Dragon, Siege Dragon, Flameblast Dragon, Mordant Dragon, Forgestoker Dragon, Niv-mizzet, Dracogenius, or Preyseizer Dragon which can all attack and also play removal spell. You can also run Bogardan Hellkite or Spawn of Thraxes, or Thunder Dragon which have an immediate impact on the board without any additional support. And if you want just a huge fat monster I think Furyborn Hellkite does it better most of the time. Note that many of these dragons are also not good outside of dedicated Dragon tribal, but I'd be inclined to run most of them before I ran poor old Kill In Mouth here.

There's a few other infect creatures that are good with Xenagos, God of Revels; Phyrexian Hydra, Phyrexian Juggernaut, and Putrefax. And I do like including Phyrexian Crusader in my zombie tribal decks, just because he's so resilient and spooky. But I just don't have a lot of decks that would play a 1/1 infect.
