I play this in my Rhys the Redeemed elf/druid tribal/token swarm deck. It's carried its weight okay there, but it's obviously fairly niche outside elf decks, and wouldn't make the cut in more competitive elf builds.
Meh. Were there a lot of tribal Keldon Warlords in Lorwyn? All of them with at best GILBIC abilities?
In other news, this doesn't stop Bitterblossom, Reveillark, or any of the other really good Lorwyn fliers. And if you're playing elves, you're probably playing black. These days, you might not be playing black, but it's not like green wants for better answers.
3/10 My general opinion of flying hate: If you're one of those players who thinks Doom Blade can't kill Baneslayer Angel, this is the card for you.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
So the easiest things to compare this to are Heedless One and Drove of Elves. Those both cost 1 mana more, but Heedless has trample (and counts opposing elves) while Drove has Hexproof (and counts non-elf green things you've got), both of which seem more relevant. I guess if you wanted to just jam-pack your Elf deck with creatures that can hit for a lot, you could feasibly run all of them, but there's generally better things to be doing.

Leaf clothes are fashionable as hell. Being able to take down random Balefire Dragon/ Steel Hellkite can really be important in elf decks, but I'd prefer to keep elves tribal to 60 cards.
A star during it's modern time and a modern playable, it's not bad in EDH either although it's impact is considerably less as it is in 60-card magic.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Five mana for four evasive bodies is respectable. Not being able to get that value and then recur it hurts it somewhat, especially in BW lists, which tend to be recursion heavy in my experience. It should still probably see more play than it does, honestly. I'm not sure why I don't consider it more often.

One of the few cards I lost when I shifted my '1/1 flying white spirits' from WB (Teysa) to WU (first Brago, then Ephara). Very good for creating those specific tokens. Granted, if talking just about raw sac fodder, it has a lot of competition in WB. Still, a good card.

EDH is the worst format for this card. It is still probably worth playing in every single WB tokens deck, where the flashback can give you resilience against boardwipes.

This is really the difference between 20 life and 40 life. Four 1/1 flying tokens is awesome in the former, meh in the latter. But at least you get some resilience against boardwipes and value in/against mill decks.

Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
As others have already said, in a format where board wipes happen all the time, the flashback aspect of this one is nice. I currently run Lingering Souls in four decks, and should probably try to fit it into at least two others (Teysa and Bad Ertai). Solid value card, if not nearly as powerful as it was in Standard.
Few people know this, but Urza block was actually an Enchantment block. Probably because the artifacts were so much better despite attempts like this to boost Auras.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised at the time to see such incoherence, but they did have some very powerful enchantments as well.
And creatures, and sorceries, and instants, and lands, hell...
Thran Golem is one of my favorite creatures, although I have not used it in EDH yet.
So it's like if Uril, the Miststalker traded Hexproof, +2/+2 for each aura, and being Legendary for Flying, First strike, Trample, and an easy mana cost. This doesn't look that bad... unless you're playing commander.
I got this guy out of whichever starter deck he was in in Urza's. I think it also had Rayne, Academy Chancellor. I've never found a place for him in EDH thanks to the usual issues with auras despite always liking the card. Rayne sees pretty regular use for me though.

I considered running this guy in my Krond deck, and more recently in my Sram deck, both of which have lots of powerful auras. It didn't end up making the cut in either case, and I'm rather doubting it ever will.

But, unlike in 20 life formats, it's not good enough to count as GoodStuff in EDH in decks that don't have particular synergy with it.
