Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
So it's Goblin Diplomats in Black, but with the additional cost of 3 and discard per use. Still might be fun in a Deathtouch themed deck or Big Stupid Stuff that doesn't have red for The Diplomats.
I am not a big fan of this one, but, I am trying out some other B/G Spellshapers with Gitrog Monster. It's essentially turning lands into spells that also cantrip.

One of the few non humans in my Ephara deck. I've gotten a lot of use from this over the years in a variety of formats, and its one of my all time favorites. Even playing it straight, it's a 3/4 attacker for 4 in white, which is decidedly on curve and was pretty good in draft, which was awesome since you'd get every one that was opened at the table. Thanks to its rather poor ratings, it sits in my crap cube as well.

The Meaning of Life: "M-hmm. Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations"
Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
I gotta say it's one of the more unique-looking wurms. I also like how it's ability is pretty much just it burrowing under the silt until the danger's gone.
One of the smallest dredges around. And CA engine built-in. So surely it sees use. Somewhere.

Is it really, though? You use a draw step to get the scarab, you sacrifice the scarab for a draw. Seems like parity to me.
It's card advantage if you can use the card that was milled into the graveyard. (flashback, recurring creatures, more dredge). Not including anything that triggers from sacrifices (Grave Pact, Savra, Queen of the Golgari)
I have some fond memories of this bug. Really got me to think about card advantage and recursion back when I was still learning.
I am very sad that we didn't "randomly" get Inkwell Leviathan for free slurpy day.
Grave-Shell is a pretty solid dredge piece, and self-recurring creatures can have decently good value. Not my first pick for a deck, but I doubt I'd be terribly sad with him in my deck.

Look at the Power and toughness then guess what store sells slurpies.

For all you non-Americans (bless your souls), in the US there's a convenience store named 7-Eleven. They are semi-famous for having slurpees (A drink akin to a liquified snow cone with added sugar). Since today is July 11th, or (7/11 in US writing, because we write dates backwards to the rest of the world...), the store gives out free slurpies as a marketing thing.
In short, it's an excuse to celebrate consumerism and mass consumption of unhealthy beverages.
People are somehow still surprised that the US has a health crisis.

One of my favorite creature when I was playing 60 cards, and a build in self-sac triggers a lot of things, such as Savra herself.

As mentioned previous, I can see this making the cut in various sac-happy GB decks - Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest and Savra, Queen of the Golgari come to mind.
